Inuyasha was sitting in his tree thinking about Kikyo and Kagome wondering why everyone always looked at him in disgust when he came back from seeing Kikyo. He didn't normally let it bother him but lately he couldn't help but wonder if there was something he was missing.

“Well, let's see” started Inuyasha as he talked to himself. “Kikyo is dead, cold, bent on taking him to hell, full of vengeance, made of dirt and bones, and again not alive. Whereas Kagome is alive, warm, caring, helpful, forgiving, loving, understanding, made of blood, skin, bones, and a beating heart, and so full of life.”

Inuyasha sighed in realization as everything dawned on him, he had loved Kikyo when she was alive and thus feels obligated to her but, he doesn't love her nor does she love him.

He jumped out of his tree to go find Kagome and tell her what he figured out, while hoping it wasn't to late for them to try to be together, that is if she was willing to give him a chance.

While he was running he continued to think about Kagome. Kagome... Now I know that when I say I don't love you... It's not true; I do love you with everything I have and with what I don't have. If I told you that your ugly, I take it back... you are the most beautiful girl in the world, with the way your so full of life and energy, how your so warm to the touch, and how your eyes sparkle whenever your happy like the sun hitting the fresh morning dew on a bright, warm spring day.
