InuYasha's Love

At the empty grave site of Kikyo, a lone figure knelt. Her head was bowed, seemingly out of respect. On this quiet morning, Kagome had been drawn to the ceremonial resting place of the miko. With a sigh, she felt long suppressed knots of anxiety twist at her heart.

 

`I know you are well and truly gone now, Kikyo,' Kagome thought. `I tried so hard not to be jealous or envious of you and InuYasha. But when I fell in love with him, and him seemingly with me, you were dead. I thought InuYasha was mine - and then you were resurrected.'

 

Looking up, Kagome was enveloped by hard memories. A lump formed in her throat, as she saw InuYasha take Kikyo in his arms, and swear that he would protect her. But InuYasha had said he would protect her! How could he still love Kikyo, when she did not love him as himself, a hanyou? After all, she wanted him to use the Shikon no Tama to become human!

 

`Kikyo, did you really love InuYasha?' Kagome thought again. `Because I always loved him - just as he is! I would never want to change him for my own purposes! Did you have an ulterior motive? Because if you did - you never deserved his love - I deserve it!'

 

Angry tears came to Kagomes eyes, and impatiently she dashed them away. Her emotions were spiraling out of control, and she could not rein them in as a sob broke out.

 

`Oh, InuYasha, do you truly love me?' Kagome thought in despair. `Or is it because of Kikyo and our shared soul? Oh, kami, I need you to love me for myself - I need to hear you say it!'

 

In another part of the village, InuYasha returned to Kaedes house to find Kagome. Sniffing before he opened the mat door, he knew she was not there. Odd…

 

“Where is Kagome?” InuYasha asked, walking in.

 

“She said she was going to pay respects at Kikyos gravesite,” Kaede said, turning from her hearth towards him.

 

“Kikyo!” InuYasha said in surprise. “She's never told me she wanted to do that, she has not done that before!”

 

Kaede did not get a chance to answer- all she saw was the swing of the mat as InuYasha dashed out of there.

 

`What the hell is she doing there?' InuYasha thought as he stalked quickly to the shrine and the gravesite.

 

The sound of soft sobs hit InuYashas ears before he got to Kagome. He bounded quickly to be at her side. His Kagome - crying! What the hell was going on?

 

“Kagome, what's wrong?” InuYasha said in concern, squatting down beside her and looking worriedly into her face.

 

The sudden arrival of InuYasha had startled her, and Kagome gasped and then wiped away more tears. She looked at InuYasha, her lips trembling.

 

“I was…just thinking,” Kagome said brokenly. “Tell me, did you fall in love with me for me, or was it because of my link to Kikyo?”

 

“How can you ask that!” InuYasha exploded. “Don't you know the answer by now?”

 

“I…just need you to tell me,” Kagome said quietly. “I guess I need reassurance.”

 

Taking Kagome by her shoulders and turning her to face him, InuYasha looked seriously into her pain filled dark eyes.

 

“Kagome…Kikyo is dead.” InuYasha said. “You have no reason to be jealous of her anymore - I love you, and only you - for yourself.”

 

A fresh sob broke from Kagome, and she nodded her head. InuYasha took her in his arms, and held her tightly.

 

“Don't cry,” InuYasha said. “What more do you need for me to prove my sincerity?”

 

Breaking away from his embrace, Kagome reached out to touch his cheek with her hand. Their eyes met, and something primal was kindled between them. InuYashas golden eyes smoldered.

 

“I'll show you just how much I love you,” InuYasha whispered, and pulled her into a passionate kiss.

 

The electricity of lust shot through InuYasha and Kagome, filling them with desperate need. Suddenly, the rest of the world did not exist -only this moment, and their love and desire for one another. Quickly they got out of their clothes, and they fell onto Kikyos grave. Hands traveling up Kagomes body to caress her full breasts as they kissed, InuYasha felt himself get hard. He lay down on their clothes, and guided her to mount him.

 

As she rode him to ecstasy, Kagome realized, this was something Kikyo never had with InuYasha. He was well and truly hers…
