Kagome fell as the ugly creature grabbed her leg. She could feel the bones in her ankle being crushed as the creature tightened his hold on her ankle. She cried out in pain. “Kagome! Let go of her you ugly son of a bitch!” InuYasha said, rage evident in his voice. “Kaza no Kiza!” he said and the creature's hold faltered. It picked her up at a great hight and threw her down with ferocity as it died. Kagome felt her shoulder crack and felt a rock jab its way into her spinal cord. She could also fell something warm and sticky start to ooze from her head and then the unbearable pain that came with it. The pain was too much for and she began to sob. “InuYasha!” she cried over and over in a broken, stuttering rhythm.
Finally her cries ended and everything went black.
Inuyasha ran to her side and heard her heavy breathing. He tried to pick her up, but in her unconsciousness, she screamed out in pain. He looked her over. Her head was bleeding badly, her shoulder hanging at a grousom angle. Her ankle was black and blue and had a bone puncturing through the skin. “Kagome...” InuYasha whispered, pain twisting his features. Sango and Miroku ran to his side. “WHAT HAPPENED?” Sango asked anxiously. “It seems that the injuries that Kagome has sustained were some that her body couldn't bear. She's unconscious so that her body may heal so she won't feel as much pain.” Miroku stated. InuYasha gently turned her over and there in her back her shirt was ripped to shreds by the rock she now was laying on. She had bruises where the rock had bumped against her skin and the rock was partly concealed in the flesh of her back.
InuYasha picked her up, his heart tearing from the screams that protruded from Kagome's mouth. He knew that they would have to find a place to camp at. There was a small abandoned hut that had a small deep spring that was hot and you could see the steam coming up out of the water. He didn't want for her to be embarrassed by him giving her a bath, even if her wouldn't admit how much he would have enjoyed it.
“Sango can you take Kagome and wash her? She needs to be clean so her wounds won't get infected,” InuYasha asked.
“Sure InuYasha anything that will help her,” she said willingly. Sango took Kagome into her arms, grabbing her bag from InuYasha, and took her to the hot spring.
“Maybe I should help Sango,” Miroku said slyly and started to follow her. “Watch yourself monk. If you get within a five mile radius of the spring, you won't be able to stand straight,” InuYasha said menacingly. Miroku stopped in is tracks and turned to follow Inuyasha.
Sango removed every article of clothing Kagome had on and began to wash her wounds with the bar thing Kagome called “soap”. She washed the blood from the pearl white skin of her back where the rock had so crudely punctured.
