Inuyasha's True Feelings Are Heard

"Inuyasha, are you okay?" asked Kagome. "Y-yeah, why wouldn't I be?" he said. "Well, I asked you if you loved your brother, and you said yes. Then I asked if you were gay just to make if you were okay and you said yes," she said. "What? I'm not gay! And I don't even like to look at my so-called brother!" he yelled. "Okay, okay. I know that." She said. They stood silent for a while, until she noticed that he was in deep thought again. "Can I go home for a while?" she asked him. "Sure." He said softly. "Okay, be back tomorrow." She said. She rubbed his ears gently, showing her thanks. She heard him purr. She slowly moved her hands away, and got up. She began to walk away until she heard him. "Where are you going?" he asked her. "Umm…well, I'm bored so I was going for a walk." She lied. "Oh. C-can I go with you?" he asked. "Sure, why not. It's good not to be alone." She said. He smiled and got up, walking towards her.

Inuyasha's Forest

Kagome and Inuyasha were quiet, each thinking. `Why is Kikyo helping Naraku after all this time? She believed me when I told her I didn't betray her, that Naraku tricked us. Yet, she still hates me.' He thought. Kagome looked over at him and then back to looking down at the ground. `He's probably thinking of Kikyo. After all she's done to the others and me, he still loves her. I wish I could help him out, but he doesn't even look at me when it comes to her. Does he think I'm that disgusting?' she thought. She sighed and continued on. "Kagome?" she looked at Inuyasha. "Yes Inuyasha?" she said.

"Do you hate Kikyo?"

"Why?"

"Just curious about what you think."

"The truth, or what you just want to hear?"

"Truth."

"Than…I do."

"Why?"

"She tried to kill me…"

"And?"

"B-because she tries to... "

"To what?"

"To... Take you away from me, into hell."

"Huh?" He said, "You care now?" "I always cared about you. You're closest to me. And Shippo, too." She said, not looking him, but had a sad smile hidden. "Kagome…. what would you do if I `did' go to hell with Kikyo?" he asked her. "I'd fight her for you. I'd die for at least trying. Either way, I-I'd probably kill myself." She said. Kagome began to walk up ahead, passing Inuyasha. He was shocked. She cared for him that much! He definitely had to think about this!

Kagome went for a stroll again. Sango, Miroku, Shippo, and Kilala had gone to a village in the North for a rumor about shards, Kaede had to stay in the village and protect the village, and her and Inuyasha were in the South looking for shards. The only problem was that Inuyasha wandered off to Kami knows where and Kagome has been looking for the shards by herself. At of the whole day she found 5 and got 3, the other two are somewhere in the forest. `Where's Inuyasha anyways? He's been gone all day and I haven't seen him yet.' She thought.Suddenly, she heard noises behind her. She turned around, looking around. "Who's there?" she yelled. "Kagome." She turned around slowly to see Inuyasha. "Inuyasha where have you been?" she asked. "We need to talk," He said. "But let's go somewhere where no one can find us." "S-sure, okay." She said. He picked her up and jumped on the trees. "Hold on." He told her and went faster.

They reached a hut that was far from any village. He went into the hut and put her down. She sat down on the futon and he sat down next to her. He took her hand with his and looked deeply into her eyes. "Kagome, I need to ask you something," he said. "D-do you love me?" "I-ah-isn't this kind of sudden to ask me?" she asked. "We're already going to be done with the shikon shards and it will be over soon," he leaned closer to her. "I need to know." "Inuyasha…I…I love you…" she whispered. He began rubbing his cheek against hers. "I love you too." He said. He kissed her softly on her lips waiting for her to respond. She did and leaned against him. He slowly broke the kiss and hugged her tightly, nuzzling his nose on her neck. "Kagome I'm afraid what will happen to you after we get all the shards. I'm afraid you'll leave me here and go to the future by force, I'm afraid of being separated, I'm afraid of living without you…" he whispered. "Inuyasha as long as you don't use the shards then it will be all okay. Or did you want to bring Kikyo back to life?" she asked sort of sad.

"No way! I have you and that's all I need," he said. "Besides, I don't love her. At least not any more." "I'm glad." She said with a warm smile. "Kagome, I want to ask you something," she looked up at him when they separated. "Will…you be my…mate?" Her heart quickened. "Me?" he nodded. "I'd be happy to." She whispered in his ear. He suddenly kissed her in a passionate kiss. She reacted quickly to him.

A Year Later:

"Momma!" Kagome turned around and saw her three kids, Shippo, Mina, and Sakura. "Yes kids?" she asked. "How long before we have a get another baby brother and sister?" She was about to answer to answer until she felt to strong arms around and a voice. "Very soon." Inuyasha said. The kids cheered and ran off. "Why did you get their hopes up?" she asked. "Because we are going to have more kids." He said. "Remember, as long as you alive, you'd have kids?" "I try not to remember," she said. "I love you." "I love you too," he picked her up bridal-style. "Let's go into the forest." "Why?" she asked. He gave her a lust look. "No way Inuyasha! We still need to go to Miroku and Sango's wedding!" she told him.

"It can wait," he said. "Think of the kids." She sighed "Your difficult. And to think we defeated Narkau like that." She said. "C'mon now!" he started running with her in his arms. "Let's go make some kids!" "Inuyasha!" she yelled in laughter.
