"Kagome!" InuYasha called behind her. "Kagome!! Kagome, will you just wait a minute!?"

Kagome turned around and sighed. "Wait? Your asking me to wait, after seven full years without seeing your face, hearing from you or even saying your name. You want me to wait?"

InuYasha nodded. "Kagome, I'm sorry ok. I didn't want you to leave, never..."

She put her hands on her hips. "And you think that sorry's going to make everything better? If I was gullable enough to think that you really ment it, then sure. I'd say it'll make everything better," She paused. "But it's not. I'm smarter, stronger and more complex to know you more than you know yourself."

Inuyasha's ears flattened against the top of his head. "I know what I did was wrong, I know that now and in the past I was such a fool. Kagome, please forgive me." He looked into her eyes, pleading her to forgive him.

"It's not as easy as it seems, Inuyasha," She said and turned toward the well. Putting her hands on the rim. "I never thought about comming back here, to see your faces and how much you've all grown," Her eyes started to water. She formed fists with her hands. She took off her glasses and looked into the well, a single tear fell into the darkness. "My life was a living hell without you guys," She whispered.

"Kagome-"

Kagome put up a hand to stop him. "Let me talk, Inuyasha. Without you guys I thought I couldn't make it. But I did, I showed myself that I'm stronger than I ever could be. And I continue to get stronger everyday with training. I never thought about coming the number one killer in the world. But I did that from hard work and simple techniques(sp). In the past five years, I've never thought about any of you, not one thought," Inuyasha lowered his eyes to the ground.

"I didn't know that you'd do that to yourself, Kagome."

She laughed and wiped away a few stray tears. "That's it, I'm proud of myself for what I've become, I love my job, I love what I do and I love the way blood spills from a body to the floor. It's like a thick red river."

"You do? You love to kill people for fun?" He asked her.

"Well, you could put it that way. But no, I have fun killing the people I'm suppose to kill, not the people I don't have to." Kagome turned to look at InuYasha.

"Well, good-bye again, InuYasha." She smiled and sat at the rim of the well.

"Kagome, please don't go. I'm nothing without you here with me," InuYasha pleaded.

"I'm sorry. But I don't belong here, I never did. You and I both knew that, InuYasha," Kagome turned and jumped feet first into the well.

*~~~~Back To Kikyo and Miroku~~~~*

Miroku leaned against a tree while he watched Kikyo pace back and forth.

"Someone's in a bad mood," Miroku laughed.

"Shut up, Monk. How did that wench get back here anyway?!" She screamed.

"Well, maybe it was destiny. Kikyo, let's face it, he still loves her," Kikyo glared at him. "Shut it. Because you and I both know he won't leave me since we're married and we have childeren." She smirked.

"Too bad, because if Lady Kagome had stayed, she'd be the mom and probably be bearing their seventh child by now," He shrugged.

"Yea, too bad for her I guess. Because I have him and she doesn't." Kikyo laughed.

"Maybe it's because Kagome doesn't love InuYasha anymore," Miroku mumble under his breath.

"What did you say?" She asked.

"I didn't say anything," Miroku smiled at her.

Actually, she did hear him. She turned her back to him and smirked. 'Well then, if she doesn't love him anymore then maybe... Just maybe I could try something new.'

*~~~~InuYasha and Kagome~~~~*

"Ouch! Damnit!" Kagome cursed from the bottom of the well.

InuYasha looked down the well to see Kagome rubbing her side. He laughed. "Can't get home, can ya?"

She groaned still rubbing her right side. "Shut up. Why can't I go back home?" She asked while climbing up the well and swung her leg over the rim.

InuYasha shrugged while grinning. "Maybe there's a special way for you to go back," He suggested, watching her dust herself off.

"Yea well, let's hurry and find what I have to do so I can get outta here," She proceeded back to the village.

They both walked back to the village in silence, but Kagome killed it...

"So I see that Kikyo's not dead anymore," Kagome stated and looked ahead.

"Yea, since Kikyo didn't want to go to hell for eternity, Keade died for her." InuYasha sighed. "Poor old hag, she died for Kikyo,"

Kagome hit him in the arm. "Don't be so rude, I we all loved Lady Keade."

He smiled, "Yea, I guess you're right."

"And, I haven't seen any big bad bugs lately, I'm guessing Naraku's dead too,"

InuYasha nodded. "Yep, with the help of Koga and his pack, Sesshomaru and Kagura who died in the process..." (I know what your thinking, but Sesshomaru didn't die, just Kagura.)

"Poor Kagura, I never knew she had it in her..." Kagome shook her head slowly.

They soon arrived in the village where Kikyo was waiting for them with crossed arms and a scowl. "Where have you been?!" She demanded.

InuYasha winced. "In the forest."

"You didn't have to be gone so long, I thought something happened to you!" Kikyo explained, more like yelled.

"Sorry, dear." InuYasha apologized.

Kikyo glanced from InuYasha to Kagome, who had a raised eyebrow and a 'don't mess with me' look on her face.

"And you-" Kikyo began.

"And me what?" Kagome asked.

"You-your the whole reason everyone was miserable for the longest time! Your the reason that we ban people like you from the village!" She yelled, their faces an inch apart.

"Don't. You. Ever. Yell in my face again, you whore." Kagome said through her teeth.

Kikyo's mouth formed an 'o' like shape. "InuYasha, honey. Did you hear what she just called me?!"

InuYasha turned to her, "No, what'd she say?" He lied.

Kikyo growled. Then turned back towards Kagome. "If you ever lay a hand on me, you'll regret it. You hear me?"

Kagome smirked, "Like this?" She slapped Kikyo across the face.

Kikyo was stunned, no one ever hit her like that before. Mainly, no one ever hit her. She raised her hand, ready to slap her back until....

"Kagome? Kagome?! Is that you!?" A small voice said from behind her.

Kagome turned around and kneeled down to the little child. "Yea, I'm Kagome, who are you?"

The little child smiled and turned around to show her a fluffy tan tail. "Remember me?" The child asked.

Kagome smiled and hugged him. "Shippo! Oh, wow you've grown so much!" Shippo hugged Kagome and layed his head against her heart, "I've missed you too."

Kikyo, fed up with the new excitment, walked off.

InuYasha smiled as he seen Kagome and Shippo together.

After hugging for what seemed like forever, Shippo looked up at Kagome. "Kagome?"

"Yea Shippo?" Kagome looked at him.

"There's a lot you should know about." He exclaimed.

InuYasha wined. 'Oh, please no, Shippo. Don't spill...'
