I hate writing disclaimers over and over again. So I will only write them several times if absolutely necessary!
Author's Note: I wanted everyone to know that this fanfic is now a Sesshomaru/Kagome fanfic. If you have any suggestions please send me an e-mail or review stating your concern or suggestion. Thank you, and on with the story.

Chapter: 3
Turnabout in feelings…
Inuyasha was awoken when a familiar scent reached his sensitive nose. Re rose from his usual perch above Kagome and started off in the direction the scent was coming from.(Think it's Sesshomaru?) In a clearing not too far from camp, standing with exhausted posture, was Kikyo in her usual red and white miko outfit.
"Kikyo.." Inuyasha drawled out her name as if it was a new vocabulary word he had never spoken before now.
Kikyo slowly turned around knowing who was there. Sensing him long before he was able to catch her scent. She had the look of longing and lover in her eyes, but at the same time she was gazing with regret as well.
They slowly walked toward each other with a pace that was slow yet faster than a normal stride. Until they were face to face. Barley inches apart, they stood there for several minutes just gazing at each other with mock regret.

Kagome slowly awoke from her warm slumber from the sound of a thump and cracking of sticks and stems. When the sound of footsteps stopped she rose from her sleeping bag without disturbing the snoring kitsune next to her. Shippo grumbled a bit when he lost his source of heat besides the blaze of the fire but did wake. He just curled and dug himself even farther down into the depths of Kagome's sleeping bag.
When Kagome finally managed to get out of her sleeping bag she glanced up at the tree above her, and she wasn't surprised to see that Inuyasha was missing from his perch in the tree above her head. [Hmm,.. I bet I know where he was headed off too. I feel a strange presence in the air. Kikyo must be near by.] Kagome's face brought on a pained expression when she thought these words.
* * *
Kagome wandered the pitched black darkness of night. Stepping and reaching over branches and twigs. Crawling under tree roots and fallen trees that died of old age or were hollowed out by termites. She soon hear a conversation not to far ahead, she silently clambered over a branch and hid behind a tree watching to scene unfold to her disliking.
Inuyasha and Kikyo were standing in each other's embrace mumbling encouraging words in each other's ears. Kagome couldn't stand this torture any longer, she just couldn't. After he showed so much caring for her she just couldn't stand it. So she fled. Fled from her fears, from her life, from her heart. But, she would soon understand that what has occurred happened for a specific reason in her life. It would soon show it's meaning in the future to come. While somewhere else…..(DunDunDun!!! This is where Sesshou comes into the picture, bout' time huh? hehe…)

Sesshomaru knew that his half-breed of a brother was wandering for jewel shards on his land. But what pissed him off was that number one he didn't ask permission and two he was lingering way too long for comfort. A number of demons already started to wander on HIS lands seeking to jewel shards that Inuyasha's wench possessed. `Jeez, why does that little disgusting half-breed, wench, and his company be here? Could they find somewhere else to linger! Well at least now I can kill that bastard and take tetsusaiga as my own.'
* * *
Kagome tripped on a branch and scrambled for her balance but sadly failed. Tumbling head over heals she finally came to a stop when her head hit a sharp object with a sickening *crack*. She was soon engulfed in a quiet state of dark unconsciousness. Which she welcomed with open arms she wanted to be free of her internal misery. She had let Inuyasha ruin her life, her heart, and her soul for too long and wasn't going to let him break her again at any cost.

Seeshomaru slowed to a graceful walk after he could smell…'blood?…., salt?.. tears?…, Inuyasha's wench? Hmmmm, I wonder what's wrong with her?' `Wait a Minute I did not just think that!' `Why would I, Lord Sesshomsru Of The Western Lands, care for a simple human wench. Inuyasha'a wench to be precise?!' `Rin must be making me soft. Oh well….. "What is this?!" Sesshomaru said this while staring at a very unconscious Kagome lying on the ground with tear stains covering her face and several cuts and scrapes covering her body and torn garments. `What on earth is this wench doing here? I might as just kill her right here.
* * *
Just as Sesshomaru raised his hand with claws poised in the air ready to disintegrate her fragile body to a molten liquid….
His heart screamed `HALT!!!'
He was frozen to the spot. Never before had he had a hard time killing someone. Not to mention, a human no less. His mind told him to sink his poison filled claws into the helpless human's body in front of him, but yet his heart managed to shout over his mind making him paralyzed to the spot. Unable to move, unable to think, not even able to even realize how long he was actually standing in that particular position for a long time.
* * *
`What is wrong with me? How on earth has this disgusting human managed to make me… afraid?…possibly,… confused?… Wait, I could use this human for Rin or even bait to get tetsusaiga. Finally, I could have what is rightfully mine! Yes, that is what I'll do.' What Sesshomaru didn't realize was that his heart was actually screaming for him to fine his one and only true match. To make him understand that the answers to all his true dreams were right there in his reach. That this person was no more than an arm's length away.
* * *
Lowering his razor sharp clawed hand banishing the poison from his veins. He bent down and gently picked up Kagome. He realized soon enough how light Kagome was. Her torn body and clothes lay limp in his arms. Without a moments hesitation he took to the skies. Heading straight to his Western Land sanctuary. To the familiar surroundings known as home.
~ Sorry to end the chapter here. I hope you won't get mad at me for leaving a cliffhanger. Hopefully I can get going on writing my next chapter soon.
