Authors Note: I am going to be nice so I am going to continue to update these chapters a little faster than I used to. I'm on vacation right now and have a little bit of time on my hands so here is chapter 6. Hope you like it!!!! I have one request will my readers please….*kneeling on hands and knees begging* review when you are finished reading!!! I need some inspiration here I have a major writers block.

An Agreement and Proposition

{FLASH BACK}

[Kagome's Thoughts in the hot springs prior to meeting Sesshomaru]

Ok, now my life is really messed up. I get pulled into a well, make friends with the hanyou that tried to kill me for the jewel inside of me, not to mention shatter the jewel into a million pieces, get my soul sucked from my body, meet Inuyasha's former love, and THEN! Get betrayed by the one that I care for the most…what is wrong with me? Why can't I have a normal life like all of my friends? And after all of that I am now stuck in a murderous, stoic, egomaniac, taiyoukai that would not hesitate to kill me, not adding all the other times that he has attempted to destroy me before. Think Kagome Think!! What could you do to not get killed? Maybe…[after about of 5 minutes staring at the ceiling] Wait! Tetsusaiga!! That's it!! I could maybe have Sesshomaru train me in exchange for the Tetsusaiga! Besides…Inuyasha does not deserve it after all he has done to me! I deserve to get revenge at least! I will show him my true colors. Someone that he will never suspect and I will get revenge even if it kills me I will, exact my revenge!!! I will fight to my last breath! To this day I vow never to be taken advantage of ever again! When I see Sesshomaru afterwards [stomach does a huge flip] I will confront him while showing no fear. Never again will I be known as the one that hides when danger confronts me! From this day forth I will not be judged as a reincarnation that is weaker.

{END FLASH BACK}

Continuing with story….

*Last chapter*

Soon she found herself walking down the hallway again except in the opposite direction she came. After walking down at least a few dozen corridors and passages they finally stopped at another gigantic door. Only this time it was beautifully crafted and carved in red wood that glimmered when the sun flashed off it's polished surface with paintings of books and scrolls on the front. Sara knocked twice and called out, "My Lord, I have brought the Lady Kagome as you have asked."

A deep voice, with no emotion laced within the words spoken, resounded through the door. "Enter"

Kagome's stomach was doing flips. She was so nervous and frightened that she began to lightly shake from fear.

She swallowed down her fear, reprimanded her body and stopped shaking.

Slowly and hesitantly she set her hand on the doorknob and rotated it clockwise until it could turn no more and the door began to slowly creak open.

Sitting at the far end of the room, in a gigantic mahogany desk, was the fearless taiyoukai that all youkai feared. None would want to be on the receiving end of his temper. If he even had one of course.

Extending a hand he spoke, "Take a seat." He did this without even look up from the document he had in his hand.

Kagome jumped a little at the tone of his voice breaking the silence. Attempting to walk gracefully to the chair that the taiyoukai hand pointed out in front of his desk she came to a stop and sat down, while folding her hands and placing her hands on her lap. Straightening her back and sitting as stiff as if a rod poll had been rammed into her spine Kagome waited patiently for their `meeting' to begin.

Looking around and observing the library she discovered that there where loads of books covering all four walls, from top to bottom.

Wow! Look at all those books! I wonder what they are about. Oh, how I would love to go and take a peak at them.

Besides going on shopping trips with her friends and playing video games with her brother the number one thing that Kagome loves to do is read. Well, with the exception of her math book.

Kagome was so caught up at admiring all the books on the walls that she failed to notice the Lord of the Western Lands staring at her with a straight face but a bemused look in his eyes that some would fail to notice.

This human miko has astounded me to no end. And here she is staring at my library with amazement. Is it possible that she is educated enough to read or even write? Well, we shall see and find out. Maybe this woman my come to good use. Perhaps I will keep her for Rin's sake. Seeing as my ward doesn't enjoy playing with Jaken constantly.

A small noticeable blush spread across the miko's cheeks when she was brought out of her wandering thoughts when the taiyoukai across from her cleared his throat to get her attention.

"Um..forgive me Lord Sesshomaru-sama I was just admiring your library. Because I like to read quite often." Came Kagome's hesitant voice while trying to get herself comfortable with the taiyoukai's piercing gaze that was centered on her at the moment.

Well, looks like she is highly educated. Lets just see how… educated. To what extent does her intelligence stretch.

"So you are educated. What specifically have you been taught?" Came Sesshomaru's stoic voice but within the sentence held multitudes of curiosity.

"Well, I'm still in school, but I have classes in mathematics, trigonometry, biology, chemistry, language arts, English, and applied technology." Kagome numbered these subjects off on her fingers one by one.

While on the other hand a stunned taiyoukai was gazing at her with amazement and wonder.

"Where do you find time to take these `classes' when you are always searching after the jewel shards with your human companions and my half-breed of a brother Inuyasha." Sesshomaru spit out his half brothers name as if it were a disease.

Sesshomaru noticed that after he spoke of his half brother the miko's aura flamed with hatred.

"Never mind that it is of no concern to you. But, since I am here and we are to discuss more `pressing' issues such as why I am here and other things I have a proposition to offer you." Kagome's voice shocked the taiyoukai.

One minute she was cowering before me in fear and hesitation and the next she speaks of offering myself a proposition. Should I consider listening to what she has to say? I wonder what else she is capable of?

"Well first of all why am I still here? Is there a real reason as to why you wish to speak to me?" Kagome wanted some answers and wasn't leaving until she got an answer.

"You are here for several reasons. You should not fret because they are of no concern to you. My reasons are my own." Came Sesshomaru's arrogant answer.

"I do not wish to be held against my will and I want to know because it is my business as to why I am still here. I could be looking for jewel shards right now if I weren't here. Not only that I could be at home catching up on some matters that need tending too!" Kagome's anger and irritation rose not only in her aura, but also in the intensity of her voice as it rose in volume.

"And what if I don't give you an answer? Then what will you do?" Sesshomaru made Kagome's anger rise even more with these arrogant questions.

Ha! I know what he's doing! He's making me mad on purpose! Oh…that jerk I'm gonna make him pay!! How I would just love to hurt him right now!!! I don't care if he is a Lord! He deserves to learn some respect. If he thinks he can push me around he's got another thing come in'.

"Well if you don't tell me then you won't get the privilege of hearing my offer!" Came Kagome's sneed remark.

Sesshomaru slightly glared at Kagome for her impeccable rudeness.

"So, if you tell me why I am still here I will tell you my proposition. Agreed, Lord Sesshomaru-sama?" She said his name as if trying to emphasize his title.

"So be it." Came his short reply.

"Tell me of your proposition first. Then I will tell you of my reasons for being here." This time his words were albeit harsher.

"Fine what ever" Kagome mumbled but the taiyoukai no more than 10 feet away from her hear it as clear as a bell.

"Anyway… I will ask for your assistance that involves training in weaponry and martial art. I wish to get revenge on a certain bastard that dared to backstab me. In return I will do as you wish for the time I am here. I will be hence forth for ally. I also have connections and.. well.. lets just say I know of information that you could use as a very large advantage. And you might even attain your own revenge in the end." Kagome's last sentence caught the most attention from the Western Lord.

"So be it then. Now as I agreed to tell you why you reside within the castle walls is because first off you were injured but I have no doubts that your miko abilities have healed you already. Second, I wish for you to become a teacher and companion for my young ward, Rin. She is very fond of you indeed. She has asked countless times to see you and I have yet to comply to her request." Kagome's features on her face settled to a more relaxed expression.

But there is no way that I am going to tell her that I originally planned on keeping her as bait to get my brother and tetsusaiga.

"Oh, and Lord Sesshomaru-sama if you think that you can get the tetsusaiga from Inuyasha in exchange for me you are terribly wrong. Just thought you ought to know. That information will definitely save you some time and effort. I hope you have taken my words seriously."

Kagome let him know that she will not be used for any reason. That was spoken clearly enough with the last few words that spilled from her mouth and the serious expression on her face.

A silence hung in the room for a long few moments. But that golden moment of silence was broken when Sesshomaru stood and began to speak.

"Tomorrow your training will begin. When you wake up Siyuri I believe will assist you around the castle until you are familiar with it. She will be your new personal servant. If you have a request go to her. After batheing and then eating in the dining room meet me in the dojo for our first lesson. Afterward clean up and you will begin teaching lessons with Rin. When you are finished with those tasks go to dinner and you may do whatever you wish with the time remaining until dusk. I will warn you only once but you are to never leave the castle grounds without myself accompanying you under any circumstances. Is that clear." Sesshomaru gave her a look that has her complying without a moments' hesitation.

"Yes, I understand Lord Sesshomaru-sama." Was Kagome's reply.

"Um, I have one question…"

"What is it that you ask for?"

"Would you mind if I stayed and read for a little while in your library?" She was hoping to look through all the beautifully covered books that lined the walls.

"Do as you wish but your training will be rough so I would suggest some much needed rest for tomorrows routine."

A soft… "Thank you Lord Sesshomaru-sama" was the last thing that Sesshomaru heard before he walked down the corridor to his office to work on some paper work that needed sorting out.
