Chapter 13: The lost and the unknown

(Still in Inuyashas point of view)

We were given a tour of the manor by on of the maids, which somehow did not surprise me all that much. Kagome didn't seem to have a clue where anything was, and sighed in relief when the maid informed us all that there were maps of the manor she could give us. It was like this was all new information to her....

OK so imagine a house that would have anything and everything you could ever want in it, and it would be this house. I thought my house was all that and a bag of chips, but this manor was unlike anything I had ever seen before. Kagome had interviewed me about my family, but I couldn't wait to get the 411 on what her dad did. Whatever it was, I was so up for it. This place had a gym for crying out loud! And I don't mean your weight room sort of thing, it had a full out gym. It also had a movie theater. The freaking coolest movie theater I had ever seen in my whole damn life! When you went in the room, the first thing was a computer screen that had the titles of every movie you could ever want to see. It was a touch screen so you just choose the one you wanted and that was it. It even had movie that hadn't been released yet! The room was also equipped with two popcorn machines, soda machines, and tons of candy of any kind sitting on selves that you could get before you actually entered the theater. The chairs we big comfy recliners. I was pretty sure they were fat boy couches. This place was pretty much amazing.

To Mirokus dismay, we were on a completely different floor level, and on the other side of the "house". There was no way I was going to be able to do any sneak pranks on Kagome now, and I'm pretty sure that's why she had put me where she did. Considering we were trying to get along, I probably shouldn't mind that....and yet I did....ah well.

After I made sure everything was good in my room, which by the way was pretty awesome, I decided to go and check out the gym a little more. I was on the 5th floor, Kagome and Sango were on the 4th, and I was pretty sure the gym was on the 2nd .....ok so I really had no idea where the gym was....maybe the theater was on the 2nd.....wow it was a damn good thing that the maid had given me a map or I would never figure out how to get around this place.

I headed outside of my room while trying to decided where I was on this map. All I knew as of right now, was that I was one the 5th floor, and that my room was at the end of the hallway that ended in a big window....well that left me with 6 possible places that I could be....dear god this place was more of a maze then anything. Well logically there were two elevators on each floor, so if I just picked which location I was most likely at and then tried to find it, I was sure to find it eventually. Feh, well that was a nice theory, but it only worked out so well. I was trying to follow the map, but every turn I took just confused me more and pretty soon, I had no idea where I was. If only I hadn't left my cell in my room! I could call Kagome or something and find my way out of this mess!

Right when I was just about to rip my hair out, I heard an elevator ding somewhere close by. This was my only chance of getting out of here, so I quickly ran to the direction of the sound. What I ran into though, was a wall, not an elevator. The elevator must have been on the other side of this wall. What the hell was I supposed to do now? No one even knew I was lost, and I'm sure if I wasn't so god damn stupid I would probably be fine. God this sucked........

~~~~~~*******~~~~~~ ( Now Kagomes point of view)
AH! How could I be this freaking stupid?! Seriously! How do you explain to your friends getting lost in your own house?! They were going to know something was up if I didn't find a way out of here soon. This map was so totally useless! It made almost no since, and if anything I was more lost now. This stinks....... I want to go swim dang it! I was about it give up when I heard the elevator! Thank the gods I was saved! I rounded the corner, and sure enough, there it was. I ran in front of it and pushed the button just as the doors opened to reveal a very peeved looking Inuyasha. I couldn't help but laugh at the cute scowl he had on his face.
"What are you laughing at bitch?" he growled
"Hey! Play nice Inuyasha. What has you looking so annoyed anyway?" I asked entering the elevator and pushing the little 1 button.
"Your stupid house that's what! This place is a fucking maze and a person could get lost in here!"
I scoffed and said, "tell me about it" under my breath. I looked up at him and he was rasing an eyebrow at my in question. I knew he had heard what I said, so I just looked at the floor to avoid his gaze.
"So what level is the gym in this place any way?" he asked.
"Uhhhh.....I'm pretty sure it's on the 1st?"
"Wow that does sound sure," he said rolling his eyes. "Screw it, I'll check the map."
He pulled a crumpled map about of his pocket, looked at it for a minute, and then hit the B button. Huh......so this place does have a basement after all.....
"What's B2?" he asked bringing me out of my daze.
"What's what?"
"B2." he said pointing at the little button next to the B.
"It's....uhhhh....that's the....ok I have no idea."
He fehed, and then pushed it.
"Inuyasha! Neither of us knows what that is! Do you really think it's wise to just go around pushing buttons?"
"Come on! You can't tell em you not even a little curious about what that is."
"Well, even if I am we should go where we haven't been invited!"
"What are you talking about?! This is your house! How can you not know what that is, and if you don't, then that should make you want to know what it is all the more! If there was a room in my house that I didn't know about I'd be dying to check it out!"
I knew he was right, so I had to play along so he wouldn't suspect more then he already did. I swallowed hard and said, "Well, I let my mom keep to herself more then you let your parents. I don't want to make her mad."
He looked at me questionably again so I gave in.
"Fine! Let's just get this over with!"
We let the 1st floor and the 1st basement pass and waited for the doors to open on this mysterious B2. When they did, I had to let my eyes adjust, because the room that the doors opened to was almost completely dark. The only light in the room was surrounding a little key pad podium. It was a lot like the one that we had seen by the front gate. It was so dark that I couldn't see anything else in the room. I had no idea what could be hidden in those shadows, but I didn't now want to find out. The room was quiet, too quiet to be normal. There was no life in the air and everything was still. I was 100% freaked out.
"Inuyasha I don't like this..........Let's get out of here!" I said softly afraid of being heard by who knows what.
"Are you kidding? This is so cool, it's like being in a movie! I wonder what happens if you put in the right code.....Kagome do you have any idea what it could be?" he asked making no effort to keep quite.
"No I don't have any idea," I hissed "but I would really like to get out of here! This place doesn't feel right!"
"So what do you think your mom is trying to hide?" he said smirking.
"I don't know, but lets just go!"
For one, the person trying to hide something wasn't my mom, and for two, I did not want to find out who or what they were hiding. I was beginning to regret coming here completely. Living with humiliation was better then this.
"Seriously Inuyasha I want to leave now!"
"Alright already! We'll go, don't have a cow!"
We turned back to the elevator and I quickly hit the button. As we waited for the elevator to come, I took one last quick look around the room. I didn't know what it was, but something about this place made me decided that I never wanted to see it again.
"Oh Kagome you're just too curious aren't you....." a man said softly watching her pled with Inuyasha to leave the room from the shadows. Lucky for him he had heard them coming and had time to get out of sight. "At least you have some amount of sense unlike dog boy there. None the less, soon you will learn to butt out or you will suffer the consequences."
