By: Kayen Kayen's memories trailed back to the times when her mother had held her down on a table while her father beated her severely. They hadn't done that lately, and that made Kayen shudder. They were most likely planning a more horrible sin. That scared her so much, she was always jumping whenever she heard the slightest noise. This was indeed odd, but she felt lucky not to have to bear those beatings too often anymore.
The door to her room opened and her mother came in holding an envelope in one of her hand.
"The Cougars have finally sent in their form for you to join the team!" she yelled out in glee as she plopped on the other side of Kayen, waving the envelope up and down.
Kayen hated when this was done. She despised all the things that the Cougars did. Sports, sports, and finally more and more sports. She had always joined the team each year but always went out tired as anything could ever feel.
There was one thing that she admired about the Cougars, though, and that was that she got to spend time away from her parents. Her most torturing parents.
they seemed to hate her as mush as the whole world's hate put together. But what she hated the most about staying was having to see their faces. Their long, gruesome faces that made her feel as if though she were on a mad house. and really, that was the truth about this house. All the times she'd been here, her parents had not shown anycompassion towards her.
Kayen took the letter that her mother was now handing her. She read it thoughtfully as if expecting it to be a letter from someone else. though everybody knew that it would be impossible. her mother grinned slightly and tucked her hair behind her ears. Her hands were filled with bruises from all the times that she had made bruises on Kayen herself. Kayen erased that from her mind and looked back at the letter. Her eyebrows went up as she read the top headline.
"Japan!!!" she exclaimed as she read. "The training for the team will be held in Japan?" Her mother looked at her through her big, huge brown eyes. She seemed hurt somehow.
"Well yes, of course." Her mother pointed at the date next to the headline, "And it's going to start next week. Your Dad will have to fly there with you." Kayen looked back at the letter. Surprised. Her parents were rich
and wealthy, but not so stubborn as to make her go to Japan.
"Where will I stay?" Kayen asked unconcerned.
"You will stay in Japan permanently."
Kayen gasped. " That way I wont get to see your rotten face around here." she slapped Kayen right across the face.
Kayen fell back in pain.
Forever?
