A.N. Hi all Riomi here. I have decided to take a break from my last fanfic and start on this one cause I had a great idea for this one and I didn't want it to go to waste. For those of you who were reading my last story I promise I will get back to it, so please don't hate me ok.

Chapter 1: Rethinking

Kagome climbed out of the Bone Eaters Well and sat on the edge of it. She breathed in deeply, "What a lovely day!" she thought out loud.

She decided to come back early to the warring states era. Before she headed to the village she wanted to take advantage of the beautiful day and go for a stroll.

She set her yellow backpack against the well and walked towards the opposite direction of the village. She paused occasionally to take note of the herbs and spices that she passed by.

She stopped and sat in a clearing and thought about all that had happened to her since her 15th birthday.

Kagome was now reaching her 18th birthday and only needed 3 more shards to complete the Shikon No Tama that hung loosely around her neck.

Then she thought of Inuyasha, she had truly grown fond of him but lately he had been acting weird toward her. He began calling her that dreadful name wench again and he seemed to take advantage of her feelings when she seemed most vulnerable.

Kagome would just let things like that pass or she would just give him a well deserving 'sit' charm. She now really had a chance to think about his sudden change of behavior. She made it clear to herself that when made it back to the village she would have a personal chat with Inuyasha.

She stood up, brushed herself off and sighed, "What am I going to with you Inuyasha?" she asked softly.

She skipped back towards the village and came to a halt when she heard some unusual noises come from a nearby clearing concealed by tall trees.

Kagome let her curiosity get the best of her as usual. She quietly made her way to see what were causing those noises.

What she saw made her want to curl up into a ball and disappear………
