Chapter 2: Guy Talk

InuYasha went in search of Miroko, though it was not much of a search since he knew exactly where that perverted Monk would be. InuYasha spotted the monk, hiding behind some bushes trying to spy on Sango. "Miroko get your perverted ass over here!" InuYasha screamed but in a whisper sort of way. "I'm offended," said Miroko, "I was only keeping watch". "Feh, yeah right" InuYasha replied back. "I need to talk to you about something, though I don't know why I am seeking your advice" InuYasha stated. "Needing assistance with Kikyo and Kagome again InuYasha? Are we trying to walk down both paths? I thought your mind was made up InuYasha and you chose Kikyo." The monk questioned InuYasha.

InuYasha with a somewhat confused look on his face tried to answer all of Miroko's questions at once. "I chose Kikyo, that's who I want to be with isn't it? I luv, I mean like Kagome, but I made my choice, I cant change now can I? Dam it Monk now you got me all confused, all I wanted to really know was, do you know what a date is?" The monk was a little surprised in InuYasha's question. He knew the guy can be simple minded, but he did not think he was dumb. "A date InuYasha", Miroko replied in a very slow and clear speech, "is a how we mark each day, example, I was born on November 12th or a date can be a type of fruit that was another fruit know as a fig". InuYasha smacked the monk over the head and started to yell, "Shit monk I'm not stupid I know those types of dates! Geesh, I was talking about the one Kagome was referring too".

"Oh" Miroko replied with a better understanding. "I am not sure what exactly she means, but I do know she has been planning this date for sometime now and trying hard to make everything perfect (even though Miroko did not know what the "everything" was). I hope you don't act like your typical self when you get to her time InuYasha". "What does that mean monk?" InuYasha asked. "You need to step back and look at this whole situation between you, Kikyo and Kagome. Kagome has made many sacrifices just to be with you, just to make sure you live and be able to get your revenge on Noruko. Have you ever considered her needs?" Miroko stared at InuYasha, he knew InuYahsa was trying to take this all in. "All I am asking , is that you bend a little while you are there, for Kagome's sake". To put it in Shippo's tems "don't be such an asshole".

"Well I see that Sango has already left the spring, so I am no longer needed here, but I thought I did spot a new village girl the other day" and so Miroko went to off to do what Miroko is best at.

InuYasha was left alone with his thoughts. Did his feelings change for Kikyo? What did he feel for Kagome? Having Kagome with him was now as natural as breathing for him, but is it a great strain on her? He did not think so; she was smiling most of times, except when they were arguing. Most of the time he just argue with her so he can see that spark in her eyes when she got upset. It always made him feel like he just got punched in the gut, but in a good sort of way. He began to wonder why he never had feelings like that when Kikyo was alive. "Feh, these stupid humans" InuYasha said to himself. "It's only for one night, how difficult can one night be with Kagome in his human form?" He will do anything to make Kagome happy, well just for this one night, as long as it did not require him taking a bath with Sota or eating her mother's cooking!
