Miroku was the first to wake, seeing the couple sleeping happily together on the floor. He smiled and nudged Sango and pointed to them. "Just like us." Sango blushed and he kissed her for what felt like an eternity. As they broke apart they looked back down at their friends. "Should we wake them?" "No." replied Miroku. "Let's make breakfast!" He pulled her off the couch, gave her a kiss and flew towards the kitchen.
"Miroku!" Sango whispered, not to wake the others.
"Whaaaat?" he groaned. "It would be a nice gesture, don't you think?"
"I agree, but we don't know how to use these things!"
"Well, we will just have to try."
Sango let out an exhasperated sigh and sat down at the table. "I hate to say it, but you're on your own with this one." Miroku had already pulled out pots and pans of many shapes and sizes. He opened the 'fridge' as Kagome had called it and grabbed the things he recognized. In no time, there were eggs, bread and milk everywhere. He went in the freezer and pulled out chunks of uncooked meat and fish and got to work. Heset the table as best to his abilities and quickly put food out. After he was satisfied with himself, he walked over to his sleeping companions.
"Inuyasha, Kagome. Wake up. I've made us breakfast!"
Kagome groggily rose, as did Inuyasha. They looked down at their hands and pulled them away slowly, inwardly smiling..
"Wait...WHAT?!" Kagome screamed.
"Oi, what the hell!" Inuyasha covered his ears. Kagome burst up to find the kitchen and table a wreck. There were egg shells, crums, juice from the meat and fish, and milk all over the place. Then she turned her attention to the food he put our for them. There was plain bread, raw eggs, and a carton of milk in the center of the table. The meat was laying bare and uncooked. "Miroku, why isn't the meat cooked??!" Kagome demanded. "Well it said 'instant'.."
Kagome just rolled her eyes and cleaned up, making a proper breakfast.

Aft er breakfast, the gang sat at the table completely bloated. "Mmmm.." Inuyasha grumbled. Everyone just chuckled, leaving Inuyasha looking quite confused. A few minutes later, Kagome stood up. "Well I guess we should be getting back, eh? My mom washed all your clothes from your time. The boys are near the couch and Sango, yours are upstairs in my room." They boys then walked to the living room as the girls hurried upstairs. Sango changed into her original clothing as Kagome put grey cutoffs on and a blck and grey Oi Polloi shirt on. She slipped on some black sandles and grabbed her book bag, shoving clothes in it, and they both went back downstairs.
Before they left, Kagome left her mother a note and ushered them all to the well, jumping in when they arrived.
The group climbed out, chatting among themselves. Kagome had a knot in her gut and just couldn't put her finger on the cause. That is, until Inuyasha put his nose to the air. "Smells like death.." Everyone turned to look at him, hoping it wasn't true. To their misfortune, Inuyasha bolted ahead of them towards the village. His friends followed.
As they arrived, the village was in dismay. Blood was strewn across the buildings and their surroundings. "What happened..?" Sango muttered, Miroku grabing her hand tightly. Before she could get an answer, the ground trembled. Cold, dead hands emerged from the ground around them and the group of friends prepared for a fight. Bodies, decaying on the spot, surrounded them. Zombies, dripping blood. Their foul smell was overwhelming. Suddenly, a deep voice filled their ears. "Hello everyone..Priestess, we've been waiting for your return." Kagome shook in anger, clutching her back for some reason. "Oh, dear. You look angry. We did not harm any of your precious villagers. No..of course not." He chuckled. "Actually, their right infront of you." Everyones eyes widened as they looked at the gruesome sight before them.
"What the fuck did you do?" Kagome yelled.
"Bastard." said Inuyasha.
The voice chucked once more. "Oh don't be so harsh. That's only part of the village. A mere portion. And now, you must defend yourselves. Prove to me Priestess! Prove to me you are who we've been searching for!" He boomed and then, the voice vanished. With that, the undead amry before them attacked.
Before Inuyasha could even unsheath his sword, Kagome pulled a pistol from the back of her pants and fired one in the forehead, causing to to fall.
"Yes.." the voice echoed around. "That's what we've been searching for...Now! Be gone!" As he had commanded, the attackers had dissintegrated before their eyes.
"What..was that?" asked Miroku. "I'm not sure." said Kagome. "But I have a feeling we're going to find out soon.." Inuyasha walked up to her as she was speaking and took the gun in her hand. "Kagome, why do you have this?" Kagome opened her mouth in shock, but soon closed it as a hard look fell over her face. "There's things I havn't told you yet..and I really didn't plan to." She sighed and turned to face all of her friends. "My mother has had a rough time since my father left us." Kagome felt a pain run through her. "She became distant the more I grew and became somewhat of a..whore." she whispred the last part. "I had to protect myself from the men constantly coming in and out of our house and so I got this." gesturing to the gun. Truthfully, Kagome had no respect for her mother anymore. Ever since her father left, she became a different person. No longer did happiness light up in her eyes. Nothing was there. Nothing. Feeling guilt for the home her daughter grew up in for so long, Kia paid fully for her college. "I know I can never forgive her..or my dad. But, their she's my mother..and.." She stopped herself. "Nevermind. Somethings are better left alone." Her friends sadly nodded, feeling for the girl they though they knew the time she was here before her schooling.
"Kagome.." Inuyasha uttered.
"I don't need your sympathy." She snapped.
Inuyasha, Miroku, and Sango were set back. Kagome sighed at her outburst. "We need to find out who's doing this, why and how we can stop them. Right now, nothing fits and that has to change."
