Chapter 6A blushing breakfast

Kagome got up early the next day and spend almoust a hour

looking at the child which lay beside her.He is so sweet and

innocent ,she mused,it almost made her laugh with irony .

Didn't she once know someone,someone sweet and innocent.

Someone who always had a smile.Someone who believed in

kindness...Oh yes, she knew,not only one,but two people like

that,but both had died.Both had lost hope.

Shippou won't.I will protect him,his innocence and his hopes.

Slowly she krept out of bed and into the kitchen.She made

chocolate pancakes.Altough nobody ever showed her how to do

so,she had known since she was old enough to read the cook-

book.She put them all onto one pig plate,and put chocolate on.

She left some without it though,just in case.

Then she went into the bathroom and took a nice shower.

Next she went to her room picked out a liliack shirt,which left

her arms uncovered as well as a `V` at her neck.She wore her

usual black baggy pants.What can she say,she loves them!

When she was done the doorbell,suddenly rang.

Sesshoumaru had spent the entire morning,cursing his idiot

brother.He was just sleeping,when the baka began to loudly

sing from his shower.One of Christina Aguilera's songs.

Christina Aguilera?Oh Kami,what had he done?Had he killed

somebody to deserve this?Slowly he made hid way to his shower

and turned the cold water on.When he was done he got dressed with black baggy pants and a gray shirt with silver

linings. Next he walked down the stairs,taking his wallet and got out of the house.He cursed again.No car,he fucking hated his brother.Ten minutes after that he was in front of Kagome's

door,ringing the bell.

Kagome opened the door and was greeted by a,what looked

like very annoyed ,Sesshoumaru.His hair was still wet,probably

because of a shower,and he was looking hot.She wondered how

he would look dressed in nothing at all after a shower. She snapped her eyes away from him. Where the fuck did that

come from?Kagome blushed a light shade of pink.

In the meantime Sesshoumaru's spirit seemed to calm,when he

saw her.She looked breathtaking.Then he noted she was somewhat distressed by something,and then he saw it.Oh he

definetly loved her innocence.She blushed and somehow he found himself thinking it suited her.

Then something happened which brought them both back.

A shrill scream ended the silence in the appartment.

Kagome and Sesshoumaru bouth ran to it.Shippou was in bed

and he was having a nightmare.Kagome ran to him and tried

to wake him,but she couldn't.Sesshoumaru gently pushed her

aside and shook the little boy awake.First Shippou was scared

becouse instead of seeing his mother,he saw Kagome and a unfamiliar man.Shippou stared into those golden eyes and

calmed down a bit seeing the tranquility in them.

"It's OK Shippou,this is Sesshoumaru"he heard Kagome whisper.

He turned around ,facing her and jumped in her lap.Kagome

hugged him fierceley.When Shippou stopped shaking,due to

her soft whispers of nothing in his ear,she wanted to take him

to the kitchen but to her surprise,he instead went and hugged

Sesshoumaru,asking in his cute little voice:

"Can you please take me?"Sesshoumaru was also surprised,

never had anyone shown him that much affection,without

wanting something in return,but this child was innocent,extremely innocent.He slowly picked Shippou up and motioned for Kagome

to lead.Apparently she was daydreaming,because she only saw

his gesture when he repeated it a second time.

Now,all three were sitting at the table eating breakfast.Sesshoumaru

started the conversation in his silky voice:

"Slept well?"It was not a innocent question,and he knew it,but

the point is so did she.

"Yes,as a matter of fact,I have."she answered in a smooth,

but warning tone.Sesshoumaru grinned sheepishly.

"Well I'm glad,because my dreams were haunted by a godess

in black.Quite misterious don't you think?"he asked,looking

deeply in to her eyes.Again her cheeks became a light pink.

"I can't tell you,until I don't see this `godess in black `."Kagome

answered sweetly.So she likes playing he thought to himself,

well then let's play.A dangerous grin was plasteres on his face

now,and Kagome didn't like it one bit,maybe she shouldn't

have lied to him,she didn't know his `godess in black`.But then

again maybe it wasn't her after all.

"Well that can easily be remedied."he said leaning over the table.Shippou was too busy stealing more pancakes from their plates to notice the sudden tension in the room.

Kagome decided to bluff,so she also leaned over till their

faces were barely touching.

"You are not very gentlemen-like,talking about one women in

the presence of another."

Suddenly his eyes flashed dangerously and Kagome gulped

invardly.Sesshoumaru's grin widened.

"And you,my lady,shouldn't question a mans honor or manhood,

while he is this close."

Kagome blushed a deep red at his remark and wanted to withdraw,when his face leaned over even more,his cheek almost

touching hers.Again he whispered into her ear,making her gasp.

He chuckled.

"Who said I was refering to another?"

With that he was in his seat again,leaning back.

He can't do this a second time!she thought heatedly,He is dead

so dead. Her eyes flashed dangerously.

Sesshoumaru only smiled and asked Shippou if he wanted to play

`I see something...`.Shippou agreed.That's when Sesshoumaru

signed his death parol.

"I see something,as red as a tomato."he said.

Shippou laughed and almost choked,while calling :

"That's easy,it's Kagome!"
