Sesshoumaru returned to his family with Kagome after the dance.

"Well everybody let's eat!"Mrs.Takagi suddenly stated.

All of them resumed their seats, everybody was sitting right beside their date.

"Well Kagome, I may call you that right?"Mrs. Takagi asked.

Kagome nodded to her.

"Where do you come from?I mean I surely haven't seen you

around and I don't think Sango or Kykio have either."

Both mentioned girls nodded in agreement.

"I have just moved here."Kagome answered sweetly.

"Oh, well what school do you go to. I hope not the same with

Sesshoumaru, you will surely distract him. After all I never saw

him dance ."

Kagome was beggining to get mad .

First she `oh`s for the second time tonight, then she `hopes` I will not distract someone who is probably a work-aholic,

and then she complains about my dancing, she better stop before I get really angry.

"Don't get me wrong I think it's great if he gets a girlfriend

but he shouldn't lose his hard work for it."

That's it that's when it happened.

Sesshoumaru stood up and took Kagome up as well.

"Never speak to her that way again, or I will forget that you

are married to one who shares my blood.

As for the distraction,I will move out of the house in two

days .Before you ask no, I will not move in with Kagome,

I will just move out.The party was ...interesting but we have to leave so, excuse us."

And with that they left.

Kagome was sitting in the car fuming, but she was truly stunned, no shocked, oh hell she didn't even know what she was.

"You just offended your stepmother, you know that right?"

"Yes I do."

Now she was even more perplexed.

Sesshoumaru was rather amused.He had seen a lot of emotions

on her but seeing her shocked was really funny.

She had this big eyes with a lost look in them.Her face was flustered and her soft pink lips were still parted in shock.

Sesshoumaru moved so he sat farthest away from her and

began to laugh.

Great now he loses his mind as well!

"What's so funny?"she demanded.

"You look like you had just seen the chinese wall being moved to Egypt."he told her bluntly.

She wanted to give him a shnippish remark but the car stopped, and because they were driving to her apartment in the first place .

But when she got out she remained there stiff as stone.

Even as Sesshoumaru got up behind her she didn't move.

"Why can't I just go away, then you and her could much be

happier.You could forget about the pain I have caused you."

The one saying these words was a little girl, barely seven, she

had bruises all over her body, her lip was bleeding and her eyes were a mixture of blue and red, because of some blows and because of the teers she had cried.

Before her there stood a tall man with black hair and same eyes.He just laughed at her, never listening to her little speech in the first place.

"You think you can wash away what you have done with this?The pain you have caused to all of us?"Again he just laughed and started hitting her .

She was on her hands and knees and started to crawl away

but he was to fast.He started to beat her mercylessly until

a woman appeard in the door.

"Please mommy, help me !" the little girl screamed but

the woman just stood there empty of any emotion.

Slowly she turned around and walked away.

"Mommy!"

"She can't help you and after all it's your fault."he told her sternly.

Throughout her muffled cries and screams, he couldn't hear on thing though, it wasn't her fault.

Here he was , just like in her nightmares.

Sesshoumaru looked at Kagome and then at the man standing

in front of the building. He was dressed in black and seemed to be a little older.The first thing he noticed though was the resemblance the man shared with Kagome.

"Did you really think you could just leave?"he asked in a dark voice.

"Why , why did you...?"Kagome stuttered, she had no words left in her mind. It was in one second all emotion she had turned into fear and terror.

"Who are you?"Sesshoumaru suddenly interrupted. He had noticed how stiff Kagome had gotten and how terror seemed to take over her being.

"Why she didn't tell you?" the man faked a hurt face.

Sesshoumaru just glared at him.

"Oh, can't you take a joke, I'm her father."

Father, father, father, father, father....the word echoed in her mind .

Tears struck her eyes and she turned around and fell into Sesshoumaru's chest, crying her eyes out.

What the fuck just happened ?What did this man do to her, to make the woman I met two days ago break?

"That's no way to greet your father, Kagome."the man scolded.

Sesshoumaru hugged her to his body and growled at the man.

"Leave."

"Why should I?" the man asked in an angry voice.

"Because you would regret staying."he added through gritted

teeth.

The man sighed and slowly walked away, chanting he would

surely be back.

Sesshoumaru walked Kagome slowly up to her appartment.

She still refused to let go of him or stop crying.

When they got upstairs they were met only with Kagura who

explained Shippou had went to sleep some while ago.

Sesshoumaru told her she could go and gently took Kagome to the her room.

"Not me, not me, it wasn't me !I swear ! It's not my fault!"

Kagome cried even though she was deeply asleep.

Sesshoumaru sighed. This was the third nightmare that night.

He was sitting on a chair beside her bed, holding a wet and cold cloth. He was just in his shirt now, and it was opened, showing of his well-toned chest.

If Kagome wasn't asleep she would probably accuse him of perverted thoughts.

What did that man do to her?

Slowly he put the cloth on her forehead. Crying like she had,

gave her a fever.

Kagome started to turn around uncontrollably, she was scuirming and chanting what she had the whole night:

"It wasn't me!"

Sesshoumaru took her hands and wanted to calm her but she

was already scuirming violently.

"Kagome stop!" he bellowed with such power she instantly

woke.

"Sesshoumaru."She looked at him, like he was the last person

she expected to see.

Suddenly she stood up and hugged him fierceley.

"Sesshoumaru.Please don't go."she whispered to him.

"Shh, I won't.But you have to sleep, you're getting a fever."

"Only if you don't let go."she whispered frightened."He will haunt my dreams if you don't."

"OK, I'll hold you."

Sesshoumaru pried her gently off him and rolled onto the bed

near her.Kagome instantly snuggeld into his chest, and fell asleep.
