It's easier to go

Chapter 18 Why?

Sesshoumaru looked at the two like they had truly lost their mind. OK, he got the hole `let's play tag` stuff was really a try of Kagome's to get near Shippou, but to play this for

three hole hours was a totaly different thing.

After chasing each other for half an hour through the house, Sesshoumaru finally showed them the kitchen and

Kagome made lunch, he had to admit she was an excellent

cook.She washed the dishes and then she made them all take a walk.Some time along the walk Shippou had decided he wanted to play , so Kagome now played tag with him.

They were so much more like mother and son than just friends, he decided.When they still were in the city she

didn't act much towards Shippou, mayby because she was

afraid that if her father came along she would probably have to leave him anyway, but now she acted like a loving and

caring parent to him.

"Sesshoumaru come play with us!"Kagome called to him.

"Oh, fluffy there is just scared he'll lose, if he does."Shippou called .

That was it!, before either of them could call again Sesshoumaru was up and chasing them.First he chased Shippou but the kid got tired rather quickly so he chased after Kagome instead.

Oh that girl was really irritating, she just couldn't run in straight lines without hiding behind trees or high bushes.

She held up a good fight , but then she had this bad idea of running into a low clearing where he cought her easily by just jumping down instead of running. What he didn't calculate though was that Kagome stumbled and made him fall as well.

They were on the ground rolling down the hill the first minute and on top of eachother the second.

Sadly for Kagome, Sesshoumaru managed to be on top, but

like the sometimes gentleman he was, he half pinned her down while supporting his upper waight on his arms.She tried to get away but Sesshoumaru only had to ground his

hips into her and she instantly stopped .

"You had to do that didn't you?"Kagome asked .

"Well, somebody had the brilliant idea to run down a hill, so I am only here by circumstance."he answered in a matter of factly voice.

Kagome shot him an icy glare, that could freeze hell over.

He had this annnoying way of just making accidental situations be all her fault.Now why was it her fault that she

hadn't thought of jumping instead of running?Well it wasn't!

"You are just as responsible of this as I am."she told him heatedly.

Sesshoumaru shot her a questioning look before shrugging.

"Maybe I am but I am surely not the one down."he answered smoothly.

"That's it!"Kagome yelled.

Before Sesshoumaru could even think, he was tackled

down by a fuming Kagome.She was just about to tickle him ,

when Sesshoumaru again turned the tables on her, this time

pinning her down with his whole body.

He glared at her but she only glared back at him.

Her face was flushed from the effort she had just made and she her breathing was shallow.Her hair was framing her pink face and her eyes were like fire sparkling saphires.

They were mad , challenging him to a battle of dominance.

So she thinks she can challenge me to an old `male-female` fight. Interesting. It will be a true pleasure to make her subdue to me.Well she will just have to learn, who I

am.

"You pig-headed arrogant crazed jerk-mania..."Kagome didn't get to finish because Sesshoumaru pressed his mouth on hers, silencing her instantly.

Kagome couldn't belive it! The asshole dared to......mmnnn....

Sesshoumaru gently traced her lips with his tongue and when she parted them, he claimed her mouth.He explored every inch of her candy-like flesh making her tremble slightly under him. He touched her tung and it hungryly responded. She wanted to show him even throughout this kiss she would never surrender willingly.

Their tongues battled eachother, neither wanting to be the one who lost.A battle so old in time there is no memory of it's beginning.So ancient and yet so new.

Sesshoumaru pushed his tongue deeper inside finally making her submit. But with her submission came her numbness and with her numbness came her clear tears.

Sesshouamru pulled up and looked at her startled.

Kagome pushed him off her and ran away.

She ran past the now screaming Shippou and back to the house.Tears streamed freely down her face, ragged pants escaped her swollen lips making her chest ache .

She couldn't see where she was going so she stumbled and fell to the ground.

She got up and started running again, not caring sbout the tree branches which left red stripes on her skin, or noises

of ripped clothes echoe in the woods.

Sesshoumaru stared up into the sky, silently yelling to the foolish gods, who had granted him the most beautiful of angels and then made this angel so difficult to coprehend.

Sesshoumaru sighed.

"Why is she so difficult ?"he asked nobody in particular but still he got an answer.

"If she wasn't she wouldn't be the one you care for."

Sesshoumaru stoop up and looked over his shoulder and saw Shippou standing there with a look that clearly stated:`It's obvious!`

Yes, it is.

A little girl with brown hair had just gotten out of the car and wanted to go inside but then she saw who she thought she would only see in her dreams.

A woman, truly an angel to her, crying, bleeding with painfull sobs escaping her.Suddenly the girl fell.

Rin ran up to her and did the only thing she could think of, she hugged her form and gently whispered to her everything would be fine.

"Why, why does he want my ......my soul ?"Kagome whispered.
