A/N: I'm getting some serious writer's block. Too many ideas and directions that this damn story can go.

 

Chapter 5

 

Kagome sighed, she could feel Inuyasha's gaze on her, eating away at that invisible bubble she'd worked hard to create around herself. It'd been nearly 2 weeks since they'd last spoken.

“ Stop looking at me.” She whispered harshly over her shoulder to Inuyasha.

“ Can't help it.” She knew he was smirking, expecting some kind of reaction out of her. But she wouldn't give him the satisfaction of getting to her and she ignored him much to his annoyance.

“ I'm sorry I called you before.” Kagome said after the class bell rang. “I think we should keep this strictly professional. You know, focusing on our project... It's due in a week.” Inuyasha raised an eyebrow. He'd always worked so hard on being witty but he wasn't too sure how to respond.

“ I guess we should. We're going out to lunch and start then.” Kagome glared at him placing her hands on her hips.

“ You know I have afternoon classes.” Inuyasha shrugged.

“ Don't care.” Kagome sighed.

“ Fine then you baka.”

“ See ya later wench. Meet me in the parking lot.” He called running off down the hall.

`Wench?' Kagome thought.. She shrugged it off and walked to class.

 

Kagome was waiting in the parking lot looking around nervously to make sure there weren't any campus security around to drag her back into the school. She heard the screech of tires hidden in one of the rows of cars. Inuyasha pulled up in front of Kagome, she got into the car and Inuyasha could smell the nervousness.

“ What are you so afraid of wench?” Inuyasha asked laughing a little bit. Kagome smiled as she buckled her seat belt.

“ I thought you were gonna run me over!” Inuyasha sped out of the parking lot and smirked because Kagome would “eep” every time they turned a corner. “Slow down would ya!” Kagome said clutching her chair tightly.

“ Relax. We're almost there.” They pulled into an expensive restaurant.

“ We're going to lunch at Fuji-san? That place is expensive. I don't have the money to eat there.” Kagome said sheepishly. “Let's just go to WacDonald's” Inuyasha scoffed.

“ No way. It's on me.” He shut off the car and Kagome followed him into the restaurant. “ Why are you bringing your notebook?”

“ Because we're here to do our project.”

“ Oh yea.” Inuyasha had completely forgotten he was taking her out to do a project. They got a seat in probably the best table in the entire restaurant. Right away Kagome started asking questions but the waiter came to interrupt. Inuyasha ordered for her on account of Kagome being too embarrassed about ordering something she wasn't paying for.

After lunch Kagome turned a few pages in her notebook and ripped out a sheet of paper and handed it to Inuyasha.

“ What's this?” He asked reading it a little bit.

“ That should be enough for you to do your paper. It's basically my life in a nutshell.”

“ You wrote it all out?” Kagome nodded.

“ It's easier that way.” Inuyasha glared at her, not with anger but with confusion. “What?!” Kagome said nervously.

“ It seems like you're hiding something.” Inuyasha said raising an eyebrow.

“ We all have our secrets Inuyasha. I know you have yours.” Kagome rolled her eyes.

“ I tell you a secret.” Inuyasha whispered quietly leaning towards her. Kagome leaned over the table a bit to hear him better. “ I want you.” Kagome crinkled her nose and sat back again her chair.

“ Hentai.” Kagome said sticking her tongue out at him.

“ Well I told you one of my secrets tell me one of yours.” Inuyasha said in a sultry voice. Kagome's eyes widened when she felt a hand on her knee beneath the table.

SLAP

“ Here's something that ISN'T a secret. I'm not that kind of girl!” Kagome stormed off. Inuyasha had already paid the check and ran after the girl. He got into his car and followed her as she walked on the sidewalk.

“ Come on, get in the car.” Inuyasha called to her.

“ No, you hentai.” Inuyasha sighed.

“ You live 5 miles from here and your stuff still in the car.” Kagome stopped walking.

“ Fine. Hands to yourself.” Kagome got into the car and drove to her house.

“ I'm sorry.” Inuyasha said as they parked.

“ You always say that. If you're really so damn sorry, why the hell do you do that to begin with.” Inuyasha shrugged looking into her eyes nervously.

“ Hell, I don't fucking know. I don't think?” Kagome laughed.

“ Damn right you don't think.” Kagome opened up the passenger door and stooped into the window. She suddenly smiled sweetly to Inuyasha, “ Bye Inuyasha.” Kagome's sudden mood swing frightened Inuyasha a little bit. Actually it frightened him a lot. `No girl should scare me,' He thought. `I'm a fucking hanyou, that bitch shouldn't affect me like that.'

`Tell me I don't have feelings for that girl. She's just a child. She's probably never had sex or anything like that.' Inuyasha thought. `I hope not.. Because I intend on being her first.'
