It's Your Love

Kagome sat silently by the fire in Keade's hut.It had been an hour since she had sat with Inuyasha under the Goshin Boku,and the miko was still thinking of that moment.

'Why did he stop talking?Was it something I did?I really want to know what he wanted to say.'

"Kagome,you okay?You're unusually quiet.Everything going smooth?''Sango asked,sliding across the floor to sit by her friend.

"I'm fine,Sango.Really.I was only thinking."Kagome answered,pulling her blanket tighter around her.Sango looked at her friend again,she knew something was up.

"Come on,Kagome.You can tell me."The taijiya probbed.She was going to get whatever it was bothering Kagome out.

Kagome looked this way and that,making sure no one was looking or listening.It was all clear.

"Okay,Sango.I'll tell you.But you promise to keep it a secret?"Kagome whispered.Sango nodded her head.

"It's safe with me."

"Okay.You see....I kinda have this crush on Inuyasha but....."

"But what?"Sango asked,leaning closer to her friend.She already knew about Kagome's 'crush' on Inuyasha.She just wanted Kagome to say it.

"But I'm not sure if he likes me in return.I want to tell him but what if he takes it the wrong way?What if he don't want to be around me anymore?What if-"

"What if you just stop thinking of negitive thoughts and just tell him?I'm sure Inuyasha will take it fine,if he feels the same way or not."Sango finished.Kagome's eyes shined with confussion but she stood up.

"Okay,Sango.You win.I'll tell him."

"That's good.I hope you the best of luck."Sango smiled as she pushed her friend through the straw door and outside where the hanyou was.

Kagome sucked in her breath.Never in her life had she been as scared as she was now.

'Just get it over with,Kagome,and you'll be fine.Just fine.'Kagome encouraged herself.She then felt a bit more confident so she began to walk to Inuyasha's Forest,hoping she could find the inu hanyou before dawn.

"Inuyasha?.....Inuyasha,you out there?"

Inuyasha's ears twitched.Kagome was calling him.The hanyou cracked one of his eyes open so he could see if the miko was around.Luckily she was.Right under him to be precise.

"What do you want,Kagome?"He asked,watching as the miko jumped and looked up at him.

"Inuyasha!Um...."Kagome looked down,mumbling the last of her sentence,"Could I talk to you for a minute?"

"I guess."Inuyasha sighed.Ever since he left Kagome under the Goshin Boku,Inuyasha had been feeling down.He felt as if his heart had been ripped to shreds and thrown away.The hanyou jumped down from his sleeping perch,only to land in front of Kagome.

"Come on.Let's go to the well."Kagome grabbed Inuyasha's hand and pulled him away before he could say anything about it.

"What's the matter,Kagome?What's wrong?"Inuyasha asked,smelling the fear in Kagome's scent.After he asked his question,that fear was over taken by embarrassment.

'She's holding something back.Wait!Could it be?!'

"Kagome......Is this about before?"Inuyasha asked,trying his best to sound as calm as can be.

"Um....Yeah.It is.You see-"Kagome plopped down by the well's edge,Inuyasha following ,"I was wondering why you walked off like you did.Was there something you wanted to say?I do but I want to know what you were gonna say first."

Inuyasha was shocked.

'She actually wants to know?!Damn!I haven't even thought of a way to tell her!Uh..' "Kagome,I wanted to tell you something that I've never told anybody else.Because nobody has ever made me want to say it.So I'll say it now."

"Go on.I'm listening."Kagome responded,waiting for the continuation.

"You see,after all the years of you being around me and helping me,I've noticed a change in myself.As I told you before."

Kagome felt the same as she did an hour ago.She was blushing madly and her heart was pounding hard in her chest.

'Why do I feel this way?!He hasn't even said anything yet!'

"Inuyasha,"She managed to get out,"What are you saying?"

"What I'm saying is-"Inuyasha grabbed Kagome's hand,just as he did before,"You've helped make me a better person,Kagome.You've shown this hanyou where his heart truely belongs."

Better than I was

And all of this happened

And now that we're together

I'm happy and free

Kagome was astounded.

'Inuyasha really means this.I can see it in his eyes.If only he'd say it more clearly.'

"Inuyasha."Kagome whispered,for that was all she could muster.

"Kagome.Can I ask you a simple question?"Inuyasha asked,trying his best not to overdo himself.His nose was flooded by Kagome's nervous,worried,and slightly aroused scent.Her sweet and gentle smell was making him want to jump and howl out what he wanted to say.But he gulped it back,deciding to use the more gentle way.

"Go ahead.I'm listening."Kagome squeaked.

'Please let it be something good.Please let it be something good.'She chanted in her head.

"Do you love me?"

Kagome froze.

'Did he say what I thought he said?'Her heart felt as if it could fly right out of her chest and her mind raced.

"What did you say?"

"Do you love me?"Inuyasha repeated,his voice calm and full of feelings.

'Did I say it wrong?Does she not love me?I guess so.'

Inuyasha was about to leave but was stopped short when Kagome threw herself on him.The hanyou was taken back.He was so shocked that he tripped and stumbled to the ground,Kagome ontop of him.

'W?hat the-Why did Kagome jump on me?Why is she crying?!'He thought to himself.All of his questions were answered when Kagome spoke.

"Yes,Inuyasha!I do love you!I have for years and I always will!No matter what!"Kagome cried,finally releasing her feelings.She didn't care if the whole world heard her.She just blurted it all out.The miko gripped the hanyou's haori and cried into his chest.Cried for joy that her mind and heart were free of those locked up emotions.Cried because the one person she truely loved just asked her the question she hoped for.She cried so she could hold what was dearer than life itself to her.

"Kagome,I-"Inuyasha said with a quiver,"I love you too."

'Ah,screw all the emotions.I'll deal with them later.' Inuyasha sat up,grabbed Kagome's chin,and made her look at him.Her blue eyes met his gold ones and Inuyasha smiled.

"I love you too,My Kagome."And with that,Inuyasha caught Kagome's lips with his,letting all his passion and affection for the miko roll out into his kiss.

Kagome complied by moaning loudly and deeping the kiss.It was a dream come true!Sure they might have rushed it,but finally saying how she felt and Inuyasha kissing her were the best things to happen to Kagome in her life!But that all went away for the moment because Inuyasha pulled away.

"Kagome,I've been wanting to ask you something."

"What,Inuyasha.What do you want to ask me?"Kagome whispered,rubbing the hanyou's cheek.

"I....um...I...wantedtoknowifyou'dstayhereandbewithme."Inuyasha rushed.Kagome giggled as she watched the blush rise on Inuyasha's cheeks.

"If you're asking me to be your mate,I say yes."

"You...You do?"Inuyasha asked,shocked at how quickly she answered.

"Uh huh.I was wondering about it myself and I decided,if being with you forever is what being your mate would give me,then I'd happily agree.And so I do."Kagome smiled as Inuyasha gapped.She was happy that she had already planned ahead for his question.

"Thank you,Kagome.Thank you so much!"Inuyasha said,hugging the miko to him.Kagome laughed.She had really shocked Inuyasha.Otherwise,he wouldn't be acting this way.

"If I am correct,and I know I am,I think there is a little something you must do to prove that we are mates,do you not?"Kagome asked,giving Inuyasha a 'know-it-all' look.The hanyou blinked stupidly for a minute before Kagome's sentence fianlly clicked.

"How'd you know about that?"He asked.Kagome blushed a bit before saying,

"I asked Sango."

Inuyasha chuckled.

'She's really planned this out.I guess I was wrong about Kagome.'

Kagome watched as Inuyasha leaned forwards,waiting for him to mark her.

'Oh man,this is gonna hurt.I just know it is.'She thought.Inuyasha's lips pressed against her neck and Kagome gasped as she felt his sharp fangs bite hard into her flesh.She felt the once cute little doggie fangs dig a little deeper and then pull away.Sango was right,the demon's way of marking thier mates hurt like hell!

"Ow."Kagome whimpered as she moved her neck,which was bleeding slightly.

"Shh.It'll feel better in a minute."Inuyasha comforted,knowing that his miko was in pain.He licked her neck,tasting the warm and sweet blood that ran down it.Kagome shivered slightly.His tongue felt warm on her skin and it made her skin crawl with pleasure.

"Inuyasha,"She said,pulling the hanyou on top of her and wrapping her legs around his waist,"I love you."

"Aren't we going a little far?"Inuyasha asked.Kagome blushed slightly and Inuyasha smelled her arousal rise.He smiled and leaned in closer to her,"I love you too."He then kissed Kagome,running his clawed hands down her stomach and onto her thighs.The miko deepened the kiss and moved her hands to Inuyasha's haori,wishing to remove it.Her wish came true and Kagome tossed the garment to the side.
