Jealousy Amongest Foxes!

In a forest...
Kagome: Breakfest!
Everyone is eating a new food, waffles!
Sango: So does everybody eat waffles in the morning?
Kagome: Well yeah. Lots of people eat waffles. It's what gives them energy for the day.
Inuyasha: Energy eh? Maybe I can use some more of these waffles.
So after gobbling down his batch, he steals Shippos.
Shippo: Hey! Those are mine!
Inuyasha: Not anymore. I need the energy to fight!
Kagome: Well when I said energy, I didn't mean the energy to show stupidity. Now Shippo back his waffles!
Inuyasha: No!
Kagome: Fine. Sit boy!
Inuyasha is pulled to the ground hard. Shippo grabs his waffles back.
Shippo: Thank you Kagome.
Everyone finishes their waffles.
Miroku: Well I say that was delicious.
Sango: We should have more waffles every morning.
Kagome: Okay. I'll bring a lot more next time.
Inuyasha: Yeah. I need the energy!
Shippo: Anyone wanna play ball with me?
Kagome: Okay Shippo. We'll play ball. Right Inuyasha?
He doesn't respond. Kagome forms a fist for reassurence.
Kagome: Right?
Inuyasha: Erm....Yeah.
Shippo: Cool! And for more fun, I'll make this ball bigger!
Using his magic, he makes the ball bigger.
Shippo: Catch!
Shippo throws the ball.
Inuyasha: Got it!
He catches it.
Inuyasha: Now catch this!
He slams the ball on the ground and it goes into the air. They look up as the ball falls right on Shippo.
Kagome: Shippo!
She runs to him.
Shippo: Owwie.
Kagome: You okay? You aren't hurt are you?
Shippo: No. I'm fine.
Kagome: Inuyasha what were you thinking?!
Inuyasha: Oops. Sorry! He he.
Later Kagome is washing Shippo in a stream.
Kagome: Now a little around the ears....
She puts shampoo in hair and aronud.
Shipo: And this will make my hair less dirty?
Kagome: Yep. And it is in the smell of strawberry. You'll smell so sweet.
Shippo: Thanks Kagome.
She continues washing him. Then she dries him off with a towel. He puts his clothes back on.
Shippo: I feel great! And clean!
Kagome: Let's just go eat dinner now.
Shippo: Okay.
He walks and slips into mud.
Shippo: Aww.....
Kagome: Aw Shippo. Looks like it's time for another bath.
Shippo: Yeah.
He gets up and slips into the mud, face first. Kagome giggles. She picks him up.
Kagome: Oh Shippo.
Later that night...everyone is sleeping. Shippo is having a bad dream. He wakes up abruptly. Kagome wakes up to his problem.
Kagome: What's wrong Shippo?
Shippo: I had another bad dream.
Kagome: Same one as before?
Shippo nods in sadness.
Kagome: Oh come here.
She gives him a hug.
Kagome: Sleep with me tonight. You'll be okay now.
Shippo: Thanks Kagome.
She goes back to sleep and Shippo goes to sleep too. He is happy now.
Shippo: (Oh Kagome. What would I do without you? You make me happy.)
Next day...
Inuyasha: Hey runt! Why don't you get some fruit for us to snack on before we get going?
Shippo: Do I have to?
Inuyasha: Yes. You're the one with the good fruit sense. Besides, you smell like a strawberry.
Shippo: Eem....Okay. I'll be right back.
He heads off.
Kagome: Becareful Shippo!
Inuyasha: Oh he'll be fine. After all, once he screams I'll come in there and save his tail.
Shippo looks around for fruit. He finds a small bush of strawberries.
Shippo: Hey! Strawberries!
He goes to pick them. When he turns a branch over, he finds something inside.
Shippo: Woah! What is that?
He anxiously turns the branch again. It's a fox demon. Only it's fully fox demon with clothing. Shippo pokes him to see if he's awake. No response.
Shippo: He looks hurt. I better get him help.
He picks him up and carries him on his back.

Meanwhile...
Inuyasha: Geez. How long does it take just to get some stupid fruit!?
Kagome: Be patient. Besides, you know how hard it can be to carry many fruit at once.
Shippo is coming.
Miroku: Hey I see him!
Inuyasha: Finally. What'd he bring?
Miroku: Not fruit.
Inuyasha: What!?
Kagome: Shippo!
She goes to him.
Shippo: Kagome. This guy needs help.
She looks at the fox demon.
Kagome: You're right. We better get him healed. Sango!
Sango: Right.
She goes to them.
Inuyasha: Hey Shippo! You were supposed to bring fruit! Not some fox!
Kagome: Be nice Inuyasha!
Later...the gang is in a hut watching the unconsious fox.
Kagome: You did a good thing bringing him here Shippo. He would of died out there if you didn't bring him here immediately.
Shippo: Thanks Kagome. But I wonder what caused him to be like this?
Sango: Poor child.
Inuyasha: Hmph. This is a total waste of time.
Kagome was about to respond when the fox wakes up.
Fox: Wha....where am I?
Shippo: Why you're alive.
The fox looks around.
Fox: Did you save me?
Shippo: Yeah. I found you unconsious in a strawberry bush. You looked very bad so I brought you to my friends.
Fox: Oh thanks. You are so kind.
He feels pain on his left arm.
Kagome: Oh you poor thing. Here, let me put this on you.
She wraps his arm with a bandage.
Fox: Thank you. You're very kind.
Shippo: She's more than kind. She's great!
Inuyasha: Well I don't think she's so great.
Kagome: Sit boy!
Inuyasha is pulled to the ground again.
Fox: Hm hm hm. That's funny.
Miroku: Say kid. You know where you're from?
Fox: Well.....
He feels some inner pain and is unconsious.
Shippo: Oh dear.
Sango: He'll be okay. But I think we should leave him alone for awhile.
So they watch him.

Next morning. The fox kid is awake and outside.
Shippo: Hey you're awake!
Fox: Yep. Thanks to you and your friends, I'm fine again.
Shippo: Oh it was nothing. But tell me, how did you get hurt like that?
Fox: Well.... Me and my father were hunting food, when all of a sudden, a large demon appeared! He attacked us and he....
Minutes later...
Shippo: Aww....I'm so sorry.
Fox: Yeah. Now I have no family. I'm all alone.
He is nearly forming tears.
Shippo: Say. Why don't you travel with us? After all, you have no one to care for you, so why not let us help you?
Fox: You really mean it?
Shippo: Yeah! It's cool having to have a playmate. I mean really. Inuyasha never plays with me. And even if he does, he never has fun.
Fox: Sounds cool.
Shippo: Cool! It's settled then.
Fox: Thank. My name is Coshi.
Shippo: My name's Shippo!
They shake hand and paw, since Coshi has paws for hands.

So Coshi told his story to the rest of the gang, and so, he joins the gang on their journeys. He is treated like Shippo is. So that means he gets insulted here and there by Inuyasha. He also gets loved and comforted by Kagome like Shippo does. But things aren't like it seems. Over time...it's strange as it is, Kagome is giving more love and comfort toward Coshi than Shippo is. And, Coshi is being liked by the others than Shippo had. Inuyasha respects Coshi a lot now. Then it gets to the point where....Coshi is very popular, and Shippo....Well.....

Inuyasha is training with Tetsusaiga. Shippo comes by.
Shippo: Hey Inuyasha!
Inuyasha: Hey runt. What do you want?
Shippo: I'm bored. Can I train with you?
Inuyasha: Look. Thanks, but no thanks.
Shippo: Why? You never want to do anything with me anymore. Just with Coshi.
Inuyasha: Okay. One, you're nothing againest me. Two, Coshi is cooler than you, plus he's tougher than you'll ever be. After all, he is better at bringing food than you are.
Shippo: Errr....
Shippo leaves him.

Meanwhile...with Kagome and Coshi.
Kagome: Would you like a cookie?
Coshi: What's that?
Kagome: You'll like it. Here.
She gives him a cookie. He takes a bite.
Coshi: Mm...This is good. Really.
Kagome: Thank you.
Shippo sees this. He gets a little mad.
Shippo: Hey Coshi. May I see you for a second?
Coshi: Oh sure.
They go somewhere private.
Shippo: Okay. I don't want to sound mean or anything but...mind if you tone down on your, coolness? I mean I'm not getting with the group and...
Coshi takes a bite of his cookie.
Coshi: Hey. It's not my fault they're into me than you. Guess that makes me the popular one.
Shippo: But that's not nice.
Coshi: Hey. I'll tell you what. If I keep getting cookies, I'll give you one, for your loyalness.
Shippo: I thought we were friends?
Coshi: Friends? Ha! My new friends would rather like me than you any day. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to shopping with Kagome.
He leaves him. He tosses the nearly eaten cookie at Shippo, who is very angry.
Shippo: Darn you...Wish I never found you in the forest. Errr...
A small demon version of himself appears on his right shoulder.
DShippo: That's it! Get angry! It makes you wanna do something bad to him.
Shippo: Yeah!
Then a small angel version of himself appears on the other shoulder.
AShippo: Don't get so angry. He just lost his father. He's only coping with his loss a bit too hard.
Shippo: Yeah...
DShippo: So what? He through one of Kagome's cookies at you! Doesn't that want you to get revenge?
Shippo: Yeah!
AShippo: But if you did, then Kagome might be angry at you. Do you want her to think you're a bad influence?
Shippo: No...
DShippo: What? You afraid in getting in trouble? Who cares? Coshi has to go!
AShippo: No. It's not right!
DShippo: Oh shut up!
AShippo: Don't do bad!
DShippo: Shut up!
Shippo: Enough!
Both guys disappear.
Shippo: No matter how obnoxious Coshi is, I wouldn't want to make Kagome think I'm jealous and want to get rid of Coshi. Oh well....
So he heads off....

Later.... Shippo is practicing his fox magic with his toys.
Shippo: Oh yeah! Let's see Coshi do that!
Inuyasha hits him on the head.
Shippo: Ow! What was that for you....Huh?
Inuyasha has tons of colors on his face. He is holding crayons on his hand.
Inuyasha: Look familiar?
Shippo: My crayons!
He grabs them.
Inuyasha: You think it was funny coloring my face with silly colors?
Shippo: But..I didn't color your face.
Inuyasha: Yeah right. You're crayons add up here. So don't let me catch you again.
He leaves.
Shippo: But I didn't color your face.....
Later....He is playing ball, by himself.
Miroku: Shippo!
Shippo: Oh?
He sees Miroku with tons a slaps in the face.
Shippo: What's wrong?
Miroku: What's wrong? What's wrong? I was getting some girls to fall for me. Then one of your magic form acts turned me into a monster! The girls got so scared they slapped me silly before leaving. Then I found your snake toy.
He holds it out.
Shippo: My snake toy!
He checks himself to see if it's there.
Miroku: Well thanks a lot.
He throws it at Shippo, and leaves.
Shippo: What's going on here?
Now Shippo is eating strawberries.
Shippo: Man. I miss Kagome's Strawberry shampoo.
He keeps eating.
Sango: Oh Shippo? May I talk to you?
Shippo: What is it?
Sango holds out a ball.
Shippo: My ball!
Sango: Yeah. You think it was fun being trapped in it?
Shippo: What?
Sango: I was trapped in that ball for hours. Luckily I was able to get out before plunging over a cliff!
Shippo: But I didn't...
Sango: Do it again, and I will not let it slide. Got it?
She leaves....
Shippo: Okay that's it! Something is going on here. And probably know what it is....
Later...
Shippo: Coshi! You did this!
Coshi: Did what?
Shippo: You did those mean things to my friends! You're trying to get me to trouble to make everybody hate me!
Coshi: Hmph. So what if it's me? What are you going to do? No one is going to believe you. After all those things I did, they'll blame on you.
Shippo: You're not my friend anymore. You're a liar and a sneak! What happened to being good friends?
Coshi: Heh. It's called survival. I need all the support I can get, and getting you out of it makes it easier.
Shippo: Why you....
Shippo slaps him.
Kagome: Shippo what did you do!?
Kagome comes in.
Kagome: You okay Coshi?
She holds him.
Coshi: Yes. I'm okay.
Kagome: You should know better! He's our friend, and you shouldn't hit a friend like that.
Shippo: (Tell that to Inuyasha.)
Kagome: That's it! No dinner for you tonight!
Shippo: What!? But Kagome!
Kagome: No butts!
Shippo is mad. Kagome takes Coshi away, Coshi makes a snicker at Shippo.
Shippo: Errrr.......
Later that night.
Kagome: Shippo. We've decided to give you one more chance to behave.
Shippo: What?
Kagome: I am going to make a nice dinner. So I want you to get some water, and the best fruit and vegetables you can find.
Shippo: Alright.
He takes a few buckets and drags them away.
Shippo: At least there's no way I can get into trouble.
As he travels, Coshi secretly follows. Shippo gathers nice water into a bucket. He leaves it to find more food. Coshi sneaks by and puts in some strange dust in it. He leaves and waits again. Shippo comes by with some fruit and puts it in another bucket. He goes off. Coshi puts something inside. Then he places something in the last bucket. Shippo returns and puts vegetables in it.
Shippo: I hope they like this.
He drags all buckets back to camp. Boy it's a hard struggle for the little guy. Coshi snickers again.

Later...everyone is eating food. And yes, Shippo too.
Sango: Hey. I thought I saw something move in here.
Miroku: Really?
Everyone looks at their plates. Something is moving in the plates of food. Then they all *but Shippo* drop their plates at the site of bugs, bursting out of the food. The bugs devour everything on the plates.
Inuyasha: Okay. Ah! They're eating everything!
The bugs leave. Kagome checks her pot of food and find some rocks and acrons in there.
Kagome: Hey what are these?
Inuyasha: Acorns and rocks.
Shippo: (What?! I better get out of here.)
Miroku: I bet this is some part of a magic trick. Maybe those bugs were...
Sango: Only acorns and rocks.
They look and see no more bugs, but acorns and rocks.
Inuyasha: And I know one person who would do this.
Shippo tries to sneak away.
Inuyasha: Shippo.
Shippo: Eiiee. Uh....
Kagome: Shippo. You ruined our dinner. How could you?!
Shippo: I.....Uh....I..
Kagome: Shippo. You're a bad boy. Very bad!
Shippo is really scared because Kagome never yelled at her like this. Coshi is enjoying this moment.
Shippo: But I didn't do it! Coshi did it! He did all those bad things to you guys! He's trying to get me in trouble!
Kagome: Shippo. Coshi doesn't use the illusions you can do! Those were your toys!
Shippo: But...He...
Kagome: Now say you're sorry! To everyone!
Shippo is scared at her. He looks around and sees everyone mad at him.
Shippo: But...I.....Errr...
Coshi is victorious.
Shippo: I'm sorry.....
Kagome: Now you can sleep outside tonight!
Shippo is really upset. Everyone leaves him.
Inuyasha: Have a nice sleep now.
Miroku: Yeah. Hope the bed bugs bite you.
Shippo: Hrm.
Later that night, Shippo tries to sleep but can't. It's cold, and scary out. Shippo gets up.
Shippo: I wonder what they're doing without me.
He goes to the hut, jupms to a window point, and peeks through. He sees everyone talking and laughing. Coshi being cuddled by Kagome as they talk more.
Shippo: Maybe they're better off without me.
He jumps down. All upset and forming tears. He makes a napsack of his things and puts it on his back.
Shippo: Good bye guys. Hope you're better with Coshi well than me.
He is crying as he leaves into the deep woods.

Next morning. Kagome wakes up and checks outside.
Kagome: Shippo, you can come in now!
There is no Shippo.
Kagome: Shippo?
She looks around, calling his name. In the hut, the others wake up.
Inuyasha: What a good sleep.
Miroku: That was my best sleep.
Kagome comes in.
Kagome: Hey you guys! I can't find Shippo!
Inuyasha: What? You can't find Shippo?
Kagome: I looked everywhere. He isn't here!
Miroku: Maybe he's still sleeping.
Kagome: Em um. He always wakes up to my calls. Even if he's far away. He's gone you guys!
Sango: Oh no.
Inuyasha: Well no wonder why it was so quiet last night. He wasn't even outside.
Kagome: I wonder....I think we were a little hard on him.
Inuyasha: Hard on him? Please. He can take things much worse than this.
Coshi: Maybe he ran away because he was jealous.
Kagome: Why would he be...Oh. I think I know now. We were spending much time with Coshi, we hadn't been paying much attention to Shippo. Maybe that's why he left.
Inuyasha: No. He left because you yelled at him....And, so did we.
Miroku: Yeah.
Sango: We were a bit too hard on him...
Silence...
Coshi: Oh who needs him? I bet he'll come running back in a few days.
Kagome: Well I wanna make sure he does now. Come on guys!
She runs out door.
Inuyasha: You're going to find him on your own!?
Kagome: No! You're coming too!
Inuyasha: What?! Oh...Fine!
They follow Kagome. Coshi stays.
Coshi: (With them gone, I can get those shards.)
He goes for Kagome's bag.
Kagome: Shippo!
Inuyasha: Where are you!?
They search trees, rivers, and many places.
Miroku: He's not anywhere.
Kagome: Oh. I think we've done it this time. We did go overboard on him.
She is upset.
Inuyasha: It was our faults too. Don't get so hard on yourself.
After a bit.
Sango: Hey wait. Where's Coshi?
After realizing something, they go back to the hut.
Kagome: My bag's gone!
Miroku: Someone must of stolen it.
Inuyasha: Ah! And it had the Shikon Shards in it!
Then they look outside and see Coshi running with the bag.
Inuyasha: Hey stop!
Coshi makes a run for it. The gang is in hot pursuit.
Kagome: Coshi what are you doing?!
Coshi turns around and stops.
Coshi: Stay back!
He uses some kind of magic to surround them with impenetrable force ring.
Inuyasha: So you were only here for the shards?
Coshi: He he. Yep! Suckers!
Kagome: But why?
Coshi: Why? Well all I wanted was the Skikon Shards. When I heard you had many, I decided to try and steal them. So..Remember when your little fox friend found me unconsious? Well I was pretending to be hurt, so I can get to you. And then when I had your trust, you turn on Shippo. So that way I can get the jewels faster.
Miroku: So you were behind all those bad things?
Kagome: Then...You were the one who ruined dinner!
Inuyasha: Oh why you!
Coshi: Ah ha ha ha! Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm out of here! So long!
Then he gets hit by a spirit snake and is wrapped up. He drops the bag. Shippo picks it up.
Shippo: Not so fast!
Kagome: Shippo! You're back!
Inuyasha: Where were you?!
Coshi gets out of the snake illusion.
Coshi: What? How could you be here? I thought you left for good?
Shippo: I almost did. But then I heard my friends calling for me. Like they were trying to find me or something. Then I heard them calling you and chasing you. I might of not known you'd go this low.
Coshi: Hmph. You may of stopped me, but I'm getting those shards! One way, or another!
He goes after Shippo.
Shippo: I don't think so!
He throws the bag aside and launches a top above Coshi. It enlarges and lands on his head. The force ring surrounding the gang disappears. Kagome grabs her bag.
Inuyasha: Alright Coshi. You're mine!
Shippo: No wait! Let me handle this guy.
Kagome: You sure?
Shippo: Oh yeah..
The top reverts to normal size and Coshi gets up.
Coshi: You wann play rough eh? Well I think it's time to strike back!
He slams a acorn on the ground, and he grows big.
Coshi: Time to crush you!
Coshi tries to stomp on Shippo. But he misses.
Shippo: Two can play this game.
Shippo throws a nut on the ground and he gets bigger too.
Inuyasha: Woah.
Coshi: Hey! How'd you learn to do that?
Shippo: Funny. I was going to ask you that.
Coshi charges and Shippo holds him off.
Kagome: Come on Shippo!
They struggle in holding position.
Shippo: You know something?
Coshi: What?
Shippo: You maybe good. But I happen to know ways of defeating others that are bad like you!
He ducks down and trips Coshi to the ground. Both of them shrink to normal.
Coshi: I'm out of here!
He makes a run for it.
Shippo: Hold it!
He uses fox magic to pick up Coshi. Then blow him away into the sky.
Shippo: Phew. Glad that's over.
Kagome goes to him and picks him up.
Kagome: You did it Shippo! Good boy!
Miroku: Nice going. You showed him.
Sango: Yeah.
Inuyasha: Okay. I admit, you did okay. Especially when you grew larger than me.
Shippo: Thanks everyone.
Kagome: We're sorry Shippo for being mad at you Shippo. We should of not jump to things so quickly without seeing your side of the story.
Shippo: I'm sorry too. I shouldn't of ran away. And you were liking Coshi more than me. I thought you didn't like me anymore.
Kagome: That's not true Shippo. No matter what, you're still as important as anyone else.
Inuyasha: Yeah. You should know better than to think you'll be left out.
Kagome: See? You don't have to worry anymore.
Shippo: Aw thanks you guys. Really.
He hugs Kagome.
Kagome: I think you deserve a special treat.
Later...an Ice Cream maker is running. Kagome puts an ice cream cone under it and ice cream comes out. She gives it to Shippo.
Kagome: Here you go.
Shippo: Thanks Kagome!
He takes a lick and is happy.
Inuyasha: Hey I want one too!
Kagome: Okay okay. Let me get another cone.
Shippo: You're the best Kagome.
Kagome: And so are you Shippo.
Shipo is glad and continues eating.
