Prologue

 

The sun shone through her window early. It was definitely the beginning of summer, and she had loved that thought. She was extremely pale from the winter, and it was very unbecoming, to her at least. The curtains weren't open enough to completely wake her out of her slumber, so she knew she had to get up and open them, or all would be lost to sleep for that day.

 

The young girl, about twenty now, she sat up, rubbing her eyes. Kami was she tired! She raised her arms high above her head, and stretched her back muscles to their fullest extent. She then walked to her window, throwing back the drapes; she clenched her eyes shut from the blinding light that had entered her eyes instantaneously.

 

She knew today was the day she was going to go to take the day for herself. No feudal era, no Inuyasha, no anything but her. She was going to get pampered.

 

He opened his eyes slowly. He knew that sleep didn't normally come often, but when it did, man did he enjoy it! This was no exception. Today, he wanted to relax. He didn't want adventure, he didn't want any disturbances, and if he had it his way; that would be exactly what happened today.

 

Even he, a great ruler, needed a day alone every so often, and he didn't get it often. That was another luxury he loved when it came. So he decided, that today, he would take some time to enjoy himself.
