Kagome stomped through the forest kicking up dirt with her feet as she went. The oversized yellow backpack bounced with each stomp she inflicted on the ground. Her shoulders were squared and her hands were clenched into fists at her side. The vein at her temple pulsed as she ground her teeth together and grumbled under her breath.

“Damn Inuyasha. I go through all the trouble to make lunch for everybody…again and he has to go and insult my cooking…again.”

 

*Flashback*

 

“Hey everybody, I'm back.”

Kagome smiled as she waved from her perch on Inuyasha's back. She had spent the past three days in her time making up tests and collecting future lessons. Of course that was only after she face planted Inuyasha into to the ground with the subjugation spell four days prier with a sorry and a pick me up in three days from atop of Kirara's back.

 

She felt bad that she had to resort to such tactics after so long a time but he just wouldn't listen to reason when she told him she really needed to go home. Wanting to make up for the “sit”, leaving on such short notice, and borrowing Kirara she decided to bring back a homemade lunch as an apology. She made sure to make plenty extras of everything to avoid any form of a fight from anybody. She even made Inuyasha his own special bento box as an extra `I'm sorry'.

 

“Welcome back Kagome.”

Sango smiled cheerily at the sight of her kindred sister.

 

“Kagome!”

 

“Lady Kagome. I trust your stay in your time was enjoyable.”

 

“Oh I wish.”

Kagome sighed as she dismounted from Inuyasha's back. She slung her backpack off of her shoulder and placed it on the ground.

“All three days were filled with tests and tons of homework. I would have preferred not going back but it is something that needed to be done. Bright side though it gave me some time to get some more supplies and make a really nice lunch.”

 

Kagome made sure that she didn't leave an opening for Inuyasha to complain about her leaving. She pulled a large checkered blanket from her pack and handed it to Sango and Miroku to spread it out. Reaching back into her pack she pulled out a bento box followed by another and another until there were two stacks five boxes high.

 

“Is that the reason why that pack of yours was so damned heavy?”

Inuyasha snorted as he motioned towards all the boxes as he sat on the blanket.

 

Kagome shot him a small glare out of the corner of her eye but for the most part ignored his comment. She knew he was being a jackass just like he always did when she came back from her time. Placing all the bento boxes save for one into the middle of the blanket she opened them for display. She blushed lightly and gave a small smile as Sango, Miroku, and Shippo ooed and awed over the set up.

 

After everybody began to enjoy the lunch she handed Inuyasha his special bento with a smile on her face. He took it from her and opened it to smell it but quickly closed it back up and placed it on the blanket. The smile fell from her lips as she looked at the discarded bento. She watched Inuyasha snatch up her yellow bag and start digging through it.

 

“Say Kagome, did you bring any ramen with you too?”

 

`How rude. Even after I went to the trouble.'

Kagome gritted her teeth and stood up jerking her bag from Inuyasha's grasp. She repacked Inuyasha's bento and one of the other ones before stepping away from the blanket. Pulling a cup of instant ramen from her bag she turned and glared at Inuyasha. She saw the fear spread over his face and she couldn't fight the malicious grin that spread across her face.

“Sit. Sit…sit...sit...sit...sit!”

 

She stepped to the side of the crater that Inuyasha resided in. Slinging her arm in a downward motion she pelted him in the back of the head with the cup of instant ramen before turning and stomping of toward the tree line. She yelled over her shoulder before disappearing into the trees.

“There's your damn ramen you jerk!”

That was how Kagome found herself seriously irritated and stomping through the forest. After slamming her feet into the ground for so long her heels were starting to hurt. Feeling the pain she slowed her stomp and started to drag her feet along the forest floor. Her whole legs were starting to throb.

 

In the distance Kagome heard the tinkling of water. The followed the sound she was thoroughly surprised to come across a small babbling brook. The water was clear and to her sore feet, very inviting. Smiling she stripped off of her shoes and socks and stepped into the crystal water. The water barely reached over the tops of her ankles and it felt wonderful. She sat on the bank placing her bag on the ground next to her.

Leaning back she closed her eyes and sighed deeply in content.

 

“Miko, I'm pleased that you enjoy this Lord's brook so much, but you will explain to this Sesshomaru why you are on my lands.”

 

Kagome's eyes shot open and she looked over her shoulder to see the stark demon Lord standing no more than six feet from her. She swallowed hard and looked the tai-youkai in the eye.

Inuyasha mentally kicked himself as her raced through the forest following Kagome's scent. He hadn't meant to piss her off at lunch, but that was the only way he could think of to get out of eating without looking like a wuss. All the food that she had placed laid out for everybody looked delicious and when she handed him his own he was so pleased. He was ready to swallow the food box and all…until he opened it. The moment he opened the box his nose was assaulted with the aroma of different spices. He nearly fell backwards from the attack.

`Doesn't the wench know I can't stand the way that spicy food in her time tastes? She should have learned that when her mother tried to give me that curry shit.'

 

He skidded to a halt when he smelt familiar and unpleasant scent. Looking around he realized that he was in the middle of a forest the stood in the western lands. The fact that was making the whole situation worse was that Kagome's scent was getting stronger the further in he traveled.

`How the hell did she get this far in such a short time? Damn it! I got to find her before that bastard does.'

 

Kagome stared wide-eyed at Sesshomaru. This was not turning out to be her day. Without thinking she started to spill the whole story about going home to collect more supplies, making lunch for everybody, Inuyasha insulting her food, her sitting him and then stomping off aimlessly, and finally ending with her soaking her sore and tired feet in the cool water. She knew that Sesshomaru wasn't pleased to find her here in his lands alone, but she didn't know they were his.

 

Sesshomaru watched as the vivacious woman told her story about how she came to be at his brook. He watched as several emotions danced over her face as she recapped her day. The way her eyes darkened with and evil pride when she told him of subduing the hanyou caught him off guard.

`Hmm, serves the idiot right.'

 

Feeling in an evil kind of mood today himself he grinned at the young miko. He knew that Inuyasha wasn't far away and decided today would be a good day to piss him off.

 

Kagome saw the grin spread across his face and she knew she was going to be in some very serious trouble.

`Oh shit. I'm in trouble, um-hum.'

 

“So you say that Inuyasha refused the food that you made for him. Are you willing to make the same offer to this Sesshomaru?”

 

Kagome knew that his question wasn't really a question. He made statements and any questions he did actually asked wore followed by an immediate action. Watching him close for any quick movements she hesitantly reached for her bag. She pulled the two bento boxes and her sleeping bag from her pack. She no longer had the picnic blanket so she chose the next best option. She opened the sleeping bag and spread it out. Sitting on the fabric she placed the bento boxes in the middle and waited.

 

Sesshomaru joined her on the soft fabric she had laid out for them. He fought another smirk at the nearly silent eep that escaped her when he sat a little bit closer than her should have. He let the sleeve of his kimono brush her knees as he extended his hand for the bento.

 

Kagome looked between his extended hand and Inuyasha's bento box. She placed the box on his extended hand and removed the lid. He sniffed and she nearly screamed when he arched a fine eyebrow at her. She paled at his comment.

“It seems that you enjoy your meals to be spicy.”

 

In Kagome's mind she could hear her mother scolding her grandfather for adding to many spices to his bento. His retort of being an old man capable of handling a little spice followed.

`Oh no, I must have grabbed the wrong bento from the counter. No wonder Inuyasha couldn't eat it. He could barely handle the smell of it.'

 

A frown formed across Kagome's face. She took Inuyasha's bento slowly from Sesshomaru's hand, closed it and gently placed hers in its place. Taking the lid from the box, she set next to the other and picked up a pair of chop sticks. Sesshomaru now could hear Inuyasha running toward the clearing. He knew that he could smell that the girl was with him and he would be her in less than a minute and he knew the perfect way to piss him off.

“How do you expect this Sesshomaru to eat with only one hand? Feed it to me.”

 

Kagome grasped a sliced wiener with the chopsticks and lifted it to Sesshomaru's mouth just as Inuyasha entered the clearing. She gasped at the sight of Inuyasha and the feel of Sesshomaru plucking the hotdog from the chopsticks. His golden eyes sparkled with humor as he looked at Inuyasha's shocked face.

 

“What the hell! What the hell is this?”

 

“It looks like lunch to me, little brother.”

He set the bento on the blanket and slowly caressed Kagome's hand removing the chopsticks from between her fingers. Skillfully he picked up a seaweed roll and brought it to her lips.

 

A blush spread across Kagome's cheeks. She couldn't decide on being embarrassed or aroused. Now wasn't the time to be thinking something like that but one had to admit that being fed by a gorgeous man was an erotic fantasy? Opening her mouth slightly she let Sesshomaru slide the roll between her lips.

Sesshomaru quirked an eyebrow at Inuyasha. Not sure, but intrigued, at what he was getting at, he leaned forward and took the piece of fruit from Kagome's mouth. He let the tip of his tongue brush her lips and he reveled in the sound of the gasp that fell from her lips.

`Interesting.'

 

Kagome trembled at the feel of Sesshomaru's tongue touching her lips and she couldn't fight the sound it pulled from her. She felt amazing. Inuyasha was gently stroking her arms and Sesshomaru was lightly stroking his fingers over her bottom lip. A tingle traveled over her body and she fought the urge to close her eyes and moan.
