Chapter 2

The Next Day

The next day was even harder on Kagome. She woke up to find Inu-yasha missing and all her friends still a sleep. So she went to find him. And like always she found him with Kikyo. And as always it tore at her heart.

I can deal with this anymore, thought Kagome. Day in and day out I deal with the fact that I love him and every time I get the courage to tell him I find him with her. That good for nothing-dead corpse. Well today I through with it. When we get back village I l write the group a letter telling them I need to be alone for a while. I will also leave one for Inu-yasha explaining why I left. As she return to the campsite she found every one awake. Songo cooking breakfast and Miroku with a lump on his head and Shippo and Kilala playing.

Are you all right Kagome? Asked Songo.

Yes I fine. Songo

Kagome he with her again isn he?

Yes. Tears start to form in kagome eyes.

OH Kagome I so sorry.

It l be all right Songo; I see that you and Miroku aren=t together yet

Maruko starts to wake rubbing his head where Songo had earlier hit him for being a lechers monk.

Oooooooo, Kagome is that you?

Yes, Maruko. I see you still haven learned your lesson about being a letch.

Oh, Kagome I just can help my self she is just the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

Just as Maruko finished his story Inu-yasha walks in. Every one looks at him. They all knew that he was with the corpse again.

What? Why is every one fucking looking at me? Asked Inu-yasha

Nothing they all answered. Shippo and Kilala had stop playing to see what the commotion was about.

Ok answered Songo breakfast is done.

They all sat down to eat. When they were finished they picked up camp and headed back to the village.

ON the way back to the village Kagome walked alone behind the group. She had told Songo that she wanted time alone to think.

Inu-yasha walked ahead. He kept looking back to kagome seeing the sad look on her face. Oh god, she could have seen me with Kikyo this morning could she. Even so why would she be upset its not like she could love me. I just a half-breed. He thought back to this morning.

Kikyo I can go to hell with you anymore.

Why not Inu-yasha don you love me any more?

Yes I mean no. Oh I don know

It like this Kikyo. I did love you once when you were alive. But even then I don think it was true love. I was just so alone and oh I wanted so much to be with some one. And then I found you. You were in the same boat I was alone from the world and no one to share our dreams with. So I think it was convent to be with you. I also think you didn=t really love me either you just wanted a way out. A way out of protecting the jewel. To leading a normal live. And I was your way out. And you never accepted me as me the hanyou. You wanted me to change. But I found some one that wants me for who I am. And I love her and us meeting like this it just keeps hurting her and I can do that any more so this is good-bye. He kisses her on the cheek and leaves.

No Inu-yasha I don think so. I not giving you up that easy. And for my reincarnation you will pay for taking my Inu-yasha away.

They were finally at the village. They went to kiade hut to rest for the day and prepare supper.

KAGOME I so hungry wailed Shippo

Shhh Shippo Kiade is cooking it will be done in a while why don you and Kilala go out side and play and Kiade will call for you when its done ok.

Ok, kagome.

Shippo and Kilala run out side to play.

Songo would you like to go to the spring to bath?

Yes Kagome. Letch you better peek or you l get it.

So off to the spring went Songo and kagome. They reach the spring and got in. They were really relaxing. When Songo heard a noise.

You lechers that better not be you in the bushes peeking. And she through her boomerang and hit some thing in the bushes.

WAAAAAaaaaa wailed Shippo. What did you do that for? As he rubbed the bump on his head

Oh Shippo it you. I sorry. I thought that it was the monk.

Are you all right Shippo? Asked kagome when she realized that Shippo was there.

Yes suppers done they sent me to tell you.

Ok said kagome we l be there just let us get dress.

They returned to the village and eat dinner. Kagome and Inu-yasha still hadn said any thing to each other since they woke up. When every one was finished eating and every thing was picked up and cleaned they went to sleep. All but Inu-yasha he sat in the corner of the hut thinking to him self.

She is really mad this time I cant be leave it. She should of sit me by now how can I fix it. I could let her go home for a while with out making such a fuse about it. But then you would miss her. What the fuck who are you. I your concision idiot. And you would miss her more then anything. No I wouldn why would I she just a shard detector. And besides I would have to love her and I don . YES YOU DO. NO I DON . YES. What the hell I arguing with my self I need to get some air.

And with that Inu-yasha went for a walk.
