Disclaimer: Sadly I don't own Inu Yasha or any of the characters in this story*sobs in corner of room*but I do own a bunch of Inu Yasha dvd's and a cabinet full of ramen and a bunch of other Inu Yasha stuff.

Chapter 1: Where and What is The Key?

"He's getting away!"

"After him!"

A man with black baggy pants and a red shirt with a very long red over coat was running a way from an angry mob of security guards. His long silver hair blew in the wind behind him. Being the half demon that he was his speed was too fast for the guards.

A black car showed up in front of the hanyou.

"Inu Yasha get in!" He jumped in the car.

"Thanks Shippou. I owe you." They sped away from the guards headed toward the city.

"So did you get it?" Shippou asked as he pulled up into a hotel.

"Yeah." He grinned as he passed an envelope to Shippou. Shippou looked at the envelope.

"Man you don't know how many file cabinets I had to go through. It took me forever just to find that damned disc." He opened the door to their hotel room and went over to the fridge. He took out some ramune and then went over to the couch and flopped down on it while Shippou came out of the room with his laptop. Shippou placed the laptop on top of the kitchen table. He turned it on and put in the disk. A bunch of stuff started to come up until it stopped and there was a picture of a woman with long jet black hair down to her heels while she floating in midair and her hair blew around her. Inu Yasha came over to where Shippou was and looked at the picture. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. Shippou went down the page and read out loud.

"Higuraishi, Kagome, Age 18, Height 5'2", said to be the miko with the power to lead to the Shikon no Tama along with the famous ship Tetsusaiga. Though human she is under protection and being studied on by Kaede at the Shikon no Tama institute in Kyoto away from any harm that may be attempted to be caused on her for her power. She is in a cryogenetic sleep. Therefore she will not know anything that is being done to her right now." Shippou finished reading this and turned to Inu Yasha who was already trying to figure out a way to get her without causing any damage. Then it hit him. He knew Kaede. She was the younger sister of the girl from the bar. He walked to his room and got the keys to his ship.

"Come on Shippou get your stuff. We're going to pay a little visit to Kaede in Kyoto." With that he smirked at his plan and waited for Shippou to finish getting his things. They drove away from the hotel and towards the docking bay.(A/N this story takes place sort of like in outlaw star plz don't kill me if I got you confused) They went to where their ship was and saw that Miroku was still there making the last finishing touches on the ship. Miroku was one of Inu Yasha's closest friends along with Shippou. They always traveled together and fought battles together no matter how bad the situation was.

"Hey Miroku!" Inu Yasha yelled as he walked up to him. Miroku looked up and said hello.

"So where are we going now?" Miroku asked with curiosity. Inu Yasha walked past him.

You are going to hit the showers that's where you're going `cause you stink like sweat only." Inu Yasha scrunched up his nose and kept on walking towards his room on the ship. He walked in and closed the door. Miroku looked at Shippou.

"Do I really smell that bad?" Miroku asked him knowing that Shippou was kitsune and could smell pretty well would tell him. Shippou nodded then went to his seat at the navigation part of the ship.

20 minutes later

"Now that we're all ready to go do you guys mind telling me where exactly we are going?" Miroku asked as they pulled out of the docking bay.

"We're going to Kyoto. That's where they key is." Inu Yasha said as he remembered the picture on Shippou's laptop. `Why would a human be the key to the Shikon no Tama? That's strange.' He was so deep in thought that he didn't even realize that they were being followed by a Federal Galaxy Police ship. He finally snapped out of it when the got a message screen from them.

"Inu Yasha! Stop your ship in the name of the Galaxy Police." A woman with long black hair tied up in a pony tail said. There was a person next to her with blonde hair and black ends put up into two pig tails. They had serious looks on their faces.

"Ah. If it isn't our old friends Sango and Kirara." Inu Yasha grinned at the screen. Miroku who was sitting next to Shippou in front of Inu Yasha looked up at her with a seductive smirk on his face. Shippou blushed when Kirara looked him in the eye and Sango was already blushing because Miroku wouldn't stop looking at her. The last time that she had confronted Inu Yasha and his gang she had started to like miroku and Kirara and Shippou seemed to like each other as well. But since they had to arrest them they had ended up fighting and they had lost. Now was their second chance at getting them.

"Sango why don't you take my offer this time and join our team? We could use your kind of power and fighting skills." Sango just looked at him.

"Inu Yasha you know very well that I am dedicated to my work and will not join your team ever." With that Sango shut down her message screen and was ready to attack the other ship. `Besides if I don't get you this time I'm going to get fired and so is Kirara. I don't want her losing her job just because of me.' Sango and Inu Yasha's ship were ready to attack then Sango couldn't take the silence anymore and attacked first only to be hit herself then her engine started to go haywire. They were going down again. She told Kirara to go to the escape pods and get out of there. Kirara did as told and was out of the ship at once. Sango was trying to get to hers and made it just in time. She was in her escape pod and she turned to look at her ship then it just blew up.

`Oh man. I'm going to get fired. Where is Kirara?' She looked around for her but couldn't find her anywhere. The she got a message from Kirara.

"Sango! Hey Sango where are you?" Kirara asked.

"I'm right here in front of where the ship was." Sango said a little worried for her friend.

Tell me your coordinates so that we can get you." Kirara told her friend. Sango was confused. What did Kirara mean by `we'. She decided to ask.

"Kirara What do you mean `we'?"

"Hello!" `Great she went on board with the enemy' She stared at the screen as Shippou and miroku kept waving at her. She decided since she was going to get fired that she should might as well get rescued before she got stuck out in the middle of nowhere out in space.

"Fine." That was all she said then she gave them her coordinates. When she got on he ship she got a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach for some reason. Then she saw Kirara come up to her. She gave her a hug and then told her that she had a bad feeling about this. Just the Miroku came up and grabbed her ass. Her eye brow twitched the she grabbed her gun and hit him in the head with the end of it.

"I don't have that bad feeling anymore." Sango said a little surprised.

"I guess that miroku must have been the cause of it in the first place. they both started laughing and walking to where Inu Yasha was. He turned and looked at Sango.

"So Sango now that you are here how about joining my group?" He had a smirk on his face when he saw the expression on her face when he asked her that. She had to admit she was defeated and so she just nodded and then sighed.

"Alright then onward to Kyoto!" Said Inu Yasha as he sat back down in his seat. Sango took the seat that was on his left and Kirara took the seat that was on his right then they were off towards Kyoto.

3 hours later

When they got to Kyoto Inu Yasha had told them to look for directions to the Shikon no Tama institute. They had to split up and Sango ended up going with Miroku and Shippou and Kirara got stuck together. Inu Yasha told them to meet back at a bar in thirty minutes then they were off.

30 minutes later

"So did you guys find an address?" Inu Yasha asked Sango and Miroku. They shook their heads saying no. the only reason why they didn't get any information was because Sango had to spend half the time beating up Miroku for trying to touch her again and again. Inu Yasha asked Shippou and Kirara and they said someone had told them it was in an underground army facility and that it was under a building next to the cemetery. Inu Yasha took in this information then they left the bar to go to the cemetery. Once there Inu Yasha was thinking of a plan to get inside.

"Okay so here's what we're going to do..." He told everyone the plan and they had all decided to wait until it was dark to go on with it.
