It starts out as a usual day, Inuyasha, a half-demon, fighting with a demon trying to get a jewel shard. Inuyasha starts to get mad when the small demon won't stand still so he can take the shard from him. Inuyasha starts yelling and ends up getting even madder at the small demon. Kagome sighs and says "I wish he would hurry up. I want to get to the next village so I can actually sleep in peace to night and I'm getting hungry too." "Yeah I know what you mean. I'm getting hungry too." replies the demon slayer, Sango. "You know what would be quicker?" "No, what?" "If I told him to sit and just shot the demon with my bow." "Well, do it already. Like I said I'm getting hungry." "Ok, I guess I gave him long enough." "Inuyasha SIT BOY." Thud!! "What was that for?" "You are taking to long so I'm taking care of it." Kagome strung her bow and shot the demon and killed it in one hit.
As Kagome thought, Inuyasha was mad all the way to the village. He didn't speak to her all the while they were on the road to the village. That night when they arived at the village, Inuyasha had started to talk to her again, if you could actually call saying two words talking. Kagome was beginning to worry that she had hurt Inuyasha's feelings so bad, that was all she would get out of him was two words.Kagome was sitting outside wondering how she could get him to speak to her again, when he came out sat down beside her and ask the strange quistion "Are you all right?" Kagome looks at him puzzled. Inuyasha sees that he has to explain and turns slightly red. He then says "You're sitting out here all alone." "Oh,that. I was just getting my thought's together. And wondering how to get you to talk to me again. But, it seems you are already talking to me again." She then looks into his eyes and sees a look of love in them. Then she turns slightly red, understanding that he had come out there to be with her. Kagome stands up and looks up at the stars and to her amusement found herself wanting to look back at Inuyasha but, didn't because she knew he was still looking at her.
When Inuyasha stood and started to move closer, Kagome turned even reder than she already was. Kagome finally turned and looked at him, he stopped moving. "Kagome" he almost whispered too low to hear him. "Yes" she also replied in a whisper. "I may not say it but, I just wanted you to know I love you." "Inuyasha looked into her eyes and once again started to move closer to her. When he was close enough, he put his arms around her and then lightly kissed her lips. She closed her eyes at the feel of his soft, warm lips againist hers. When he lifted away from her he layed his head on her shoulder and whispered "I will never let you get hurt. I will always be her for you whenever you need me. "They walked back inside and were greeted by the little Fox-demon, Shippo. Shippo ran and jump into Kagomes arms and hugged her. "I thought you had left and didn't say good-bye to me." "Oh you know I would never leave you, you're like my little brother Shippo." said Kagome hugging the little fox-demon. "Good, l won't let you leave without me knowing. Ok." "Sure, I will tell you if I have to leave" "Great, then you will have me to take care of you, when Inuyasha doesn't." Kagome looked at Inuyasha to see that Inuyasha wasn't going to hit him on the head for saying that he wouldn't take care of her.
Late that night Shippo woke Kagome up saying he had a bad dream. "Oh, that's ok you can sleep with me tonight" said Kagome. With that Shippo curled up beside her and went to bed.
The next morning Kagome was woke up by Miroku, the perverted monk that travels with the group. The group is made up of Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango, Sango's pet demon Kilala, Miroku, and Shippo. "What is it" said Kagome getting up streaching. "Nothing, it is just that, it's time for breakfast and you have been in bed about an hour later than usual." "Oh, ok I'll get up." With that Miroku left the room. The truth was Kagome didn't want to wake up because she was have a dream of last night when Inuyasha told her he loved her and kissed her. She started to blush remembering it even more. After she was out of her pajamas and into her cloths, she went out for breakfast. Everybody was already there eating their breakfast. And looked up at her when she entered the room. After everyone was done eating, Inuyasha asked Kagome to come outside with him.
