Inuyasha listened to the sounds of cars and footsteps as people walked below him down the streets of Tokyo. He closed his eyes and visualized his home. Away from all of the noise and smells of the city. He just wanted it all to be over. He wanted to go back to his old life. Even if that meant he had to leave Kagome. He chuckled to himself. 'To think, she's the only person who's ever been nice to me...and I want to leave her.' Inuyasha suddenly felt a sharp pain in his gut as if someone or something had hit him there...hard. He looked around. No one was there. He stood up and sniffed the air. There was no sign of his attacker. Again an invisible struck him, this time in the face, sending him flying into the ground. At the same time his phone began to ring. He picked up the phone and opened it.

"What the fuck is happening to me?" Inuyasha coughed into the device as he was kicked in the stomach by the seemingly nonexistant being.

"You IDIOT!!!" Inuyasha cringed as the voice hit him full blast in the ear.

"What?!" Inuyasha felt his head being stomped into the ground and screamed in pain.

"YOU LEFT HER ALONE!"

"SO WHAT!?" Inuyasha felt a hand pick him up off of the ground by the throat and slam him into the ground.

"She's in trouble! Go pretect her!" The voice hurried.

"I'm a little tied up here!" the hayou choked out.

"You're feeling what she's feeling. You're a hanyou. You can take it. She can't. GO!" Inuyasha forced his body to move. He got to his feet, dispite the lack of oxygen and as he moved closer to her, he felt the pain go away. It suddenly became easier to move and evetually he didn't feel anything but what was going on around him.

"AAAAGH!!!" Inuyasha looked down to see Kagome being beat up by two men. One of the men was pinning her to the wall by the throat while another punched her in the stomach. The angry hanyou dropped from the roof and walked toward the men.

He easily pushed past the men and removed the larger ones hand from Kagome's neck and walked away. "HEY!!!" the larger men yelled. "WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!"

Inuyasha set Kagome down onto the ground softly before getting to his feet and turning to face the men. "I'm here to protect this girl and only to protect her! If you want to die, LET'S GO!!" Inuyasha flexed his claws and got ready to attack.

"Die!!!" the smaller man ran toward him only to be punched through the brick wall behind him. The larger man watched as the man flew by him and picked up a metal pipe from the ground.

Inuyasha just laughed coldly and slashed the pipe into fifteen pieces before the man could even get near him. The man looked down at his hands at the air where the pipe had been then ran for his life.

Inuyasha jumped and in a split second he was in front of the man. "You didn't think you could get away that easily. Did you?" Inuyasha smashed the mans nose in with his fist before knocking him unconscious before returning to the girls side and lifting her up again, bridal style and jumping off into the night...

A/N: I love my job. I wonder what those guys wanted... I guess we'll find out. Poor Kagome...REVIEW!!!
