Inuyasha awoke with a start and looked around sniffing the air. 'Where'd she go?! He thought to himself, panicing. He ran out of the room and looked up and down the hallway. She wasn't there. He checked every room in the house, but the only trace of her was the her slightly fading scent which had been imprinted on all of her
belongings in the small apartment.
"Where did you go, Kagome?" Inuyasha asked in a worried tone. He picked up the phone and dialed her cell phone number. A second later there was a ringing sound from across the room and he lunged toward the couch to see that it was just the phone. No Kagome. "Damnit!"
Inuyasha looked at the calender for any clues. Nothing. He checked to see if her car keys were gone. They weren't. 'Kagome...' Inuyasha thought as he began to lose hope. He opened the front door and walked out. He looked up and down the large hallway, sniffing the air until he caught her scent and followed it to the elavator. He took it down stairs and followed her trail once again to her family's shrine. He walked up to the doors of the house and opened them, letting himself in.
"Kagome!" He yelled. When he got no response, he checked the house, but found no one. The house was completely empty. There was the sound of a the door opening behind him and he turned around to look at the shocked woman behind him. "Do you know where Kagome is?"
"Who are you?" the woman asked trembling slightly.
Inuyasha walked toward her and grabbed her roughly by the shoulders, shaking her lightly. "WHERE IS SHE?!" He growled.
"S-she's with one of her friends at a restaurant downtown," the woman said her voice trembling more than she was. Inuyasha released her and she nearly collapsed. He made his way to the door and left the scared woman by herself in the house.
An hour later...
Kagome looked around as her boyfriend pulled up to her apartment and stopped.
"I had a great time with you today, Higurashi," the man said nervously.
"I had a great time to Houjo. I'll call you later." Kagome got out of the car and headed toward her building. Houjo's car sped away. She was about to open the front door of the building when she heard the loud crash of a car being crushed. She turned to see a slightly pissed off hanyou stand up off of what was left of her neibors car after he had landed on it and walk toward her.
"Who was that?" Inuyasha growled as he followed her into the building.
"He's by boyfriend Houjo." Inuyasha looked at her, his eyes wide with shock and he seemed...hurt?
"Keh." After a moment, he looked away, putting his previous pissed off face back on as they walked into her apartment.
"Inuyasha...I know there's something wrong. Tell me what it is..." Kagome said in a warning tone.
"Keh. You wouldn't care," The hanyou turned away from her and toward the couch. She walked after him.
"Yes, I would. NOW TELL ME!" Kagome yelled. She was concerned. He wasn't happy and she wanted to know why.
Suddenly, the hanyou caught her by surprise. He quickly spun around, gently wraping his arm around her waist and pulling her toward him and lowering his lips to hers...
