Note: It's been 2 years since Kagome first met Inuyasha so that makes Kagome 17 and Inuyasha 18. I don't know if that's right but Oh well. ^_^

 

*Thoughts*

“Speech”

-“I'm going home and you can't stop me!”

 

-“Yeah I can! And you ain't goin' nowhere!”

 

-“Don't make me say it!”

 

-“You wouldn't!”

 

-“Oh, I would!”

 

-“Kagome.....!”

 

-“SIT!”

 

(Thump!)

 

-“I'll be back in a couple days Inuyasha. And don't come get me or I'll S-I-T you so hard you'll see stars!” Kagome threatened and hopped into the well and passed into her time.

 

-“Oh, she is so dead....” Inuyasha muttered while he pulled his face out of the dirt. He sat up and leaned against the side of the well. He rubbed the back of his head and recalled what had happened only minutes before.

 

(Flashback)

 

-“I'm going to go home for a few days, okay Inuyasha?” Kagome asked while she picked up her big yellow bag.

 

-“What? You're going home already?! You just got back!” Inuyasha said, jerking up from his lazy boy position.

 

-“Well ya but I've got a big test coming up and I need to pass it! I've already missed enough school to fail the whole grade, the least I can do is pass this test.” Kagome explained and walked out of the hut. Inuyasha quickly followed her.

 

-“But we need to find more jewel shards and you're the only one who can detect them! You can't just leave whenever you feel like it!” Inuyasha exclaimed and grabbed her arm. Kagome turned around and gave him a glare.

 

-“Look, I'm going home.” she said and pulled her arm out of his grip and kept on walking towards the well.

 

Inuyasha took a few seconds to gather his thoughts and quickly ran to catch up with her. He grabbed her hand and stopped her from walking away. They were very close to the well now.

 

-“Kagome, don't go.” Inuyasha whispered and let go of her hand.

 

*Why is he acting so nice all of a sudden?* Kagome asked herself and turned to face him. “Inuyasha...why do you want me to stay so bad?” she asked softly and looked into his eyes.

 

*Because I really like you Kagome. And I hate it when you're not around.* Inuyasha thought. A light blush crept across his face so he quickly turned his back to her so she wouldn't see.

 

-“Inuyasha?”

 

-“Well,.....because....you're our jewel detector stupid.” he said, even though he had thought of a different answer. Kagome got really pissed right there and then.

 

-“That's all I'm good for, isn't it?! Detecting jewel shards!” she exclaimed and kept walking to the well. Inuyasha quickly followed her.

 

-“That's not true!” he said “Please don't go!”

 

-“I'm going home and you can't stop me!” Kagome said

 

You know what happened after that.

 

(End Flashback)

 

Inuyasha got up and started to slowly walk back to the village.

 

*Kagome's more then just a jewel detector,....she's so much more.* he thought as he passed the Sacred Tree. *I could never admit it to her face, but she's my best friend and I care about her more then life itself...But I always manage to mess things up when I'm trying to tell her something.*

 

He walked into the hut and sat down across from Miroku and Sango.

 

-“Did Kagome go back to her time?” Sango asked while petting Kilala. Inuyasha just nodded and resumed his lazy boy position.

 

-“When will she be back?” Miroku asked.

 

-“A couple days.” Inuyasha muttered and closed his eyes.
