Chapter 4: (Kagomes skills)

Sesshomaru was very was very curious if her clam was true. He wasn't exactly sure if he should believe his instincts to believe this girl; her clam was a little farfetched.

"Woman, I challenge you to a duel, do you accept?"

`That way I can test if I truly trained her as she clamed' thought Sesshomaru.

"I would prefer it if you called me Kagome, not wench, not bitch, not woman, Ka-go-me, also I accept your challenge. What are the rules to this duel?" asked Kagome.

`Just what I need to get my mind off of everything.'

Kagome was met with a blank stare. "How about one weapon each, also no killing each other. I rather not die just yet, but injuries are all right. What is your choice for a weapon?" asked Kagome.

"I will use Tokijin," said Sesshomaru. Kagome chanted something under her breath and a sword appeared in her hand.

"I will use my katana," said Kagome.

"How did you do that?" asked Sesshomaru looking a bit amazed by her trick.

"Sesshomaru not only am I half youkia from my fathers blood, I'm also half miko from my mother" said Kagome.

"Impressive shall we begin?" asked Sesshomaru.

"Rin why don't you and Jaken go over to the tree line is so you don't get hurt."

"Ok Kagome Rin will go to the tree line," Rin immediately went to were Kagome indicated.

"I don't have to listen to some filthy half breed," proclaimed Jaken.

"Jaken do as she says," said Sesshomaru.

"Let's begin," said Kagome getting into her fighting stance.

`She has some skill just by her stance' thought Sesshomaru.

Kagome was the first to strike. Trying to get Sesshomaru from the side. Sesshomaru blocked the attack. Sesshomaru also noted her speed, being faster than a normal half youkia.

(Back to Inuyasha)

"Come on we need to find Kagome" said Inuyasha interrupting everyone's thoughts. Inuyasha was worried that something might happen to Kagome even if he wouldn't admit it.

Everyone left in the direction Kagome had run. They all walked in silence. Inuyasha was following Kagome's scent. They all new she wouldn't run too far.

Both Koga and Inuyasha smelt Kagomes scent getting stronger, and they would find her in a matter of minutes. What they didn't know was whom they would find with her.

(Back to Kagome)

Sesshomaru jumped back from yet another clash of their blades. They were both wounded at this point, but neither there wounds weren't life threatening. Sesshomaru was impressed by Kagomes skills.

`She has great form in her fighting technique, but it could improve'. He was also impressed that she was doing so well. She was just about equally matched with Sesshomaru. Not many would last this long against him.

Inuyasha and Koga ran a head of the others. They both had smelt the scent of Kagome's blood. They both ran straight into the clearing were Kagome and Sesshomaru were fighting. This surprised the two. Inuyasha didn't hesitate to unleash Tetsusaiga and jump right in between Kagome and Sesshomaru.

Kagome and Sesshomaru were both raped up in the fight to notice Inuyasha and Koga entered the clearing. They both realized their presence when Inuyasha jumped right in front of them. Both Kagome and Sesshomaru jumped back when they saw Inuyasha. Inuyasha was growling and pointing Tetsusaiga at Sesshomaru.

Kagome was annoyed at this point. "SIT" Inuyasha met his old friend the ground. Sesshomaru was quit amused by the subjugation.

By this time Miroku, Sango, and Shippo had arrived in the clearing, and were shocked by what they saw. The last person they expected to see was Sesshomaru. Miroku and Sango both got into there fighting stances.

The spell of the necklace started to wear off and Inuyasha started to get up. Sesshomaru walks past Inuyasha and walks up to Kagome. Everyone gets ready to attack him. "Thanks for the duel Kagome, I hope to finish the next one," said Sesshomaru in his normal cold voice shocking everyone except Rin, Kagome, and Koga.

"I also thank you for the duel Lord Sesshomaru," said Kagome. Then she reached out her hand to his arm were there was a cut, and she held it. Sesshomaru looked at his arm then said, "You're full of surprises Kagome."

Sesshomaru tuned away from Kagome and walked towards the forest. "Jaken, Rin were leaving."

Rin walked up to Kagome "Bye Kagome Rin hopes to see you soon."

"Bye Rin" said Kagome giving the little girl a hug. Then Rin ran off in the direction Sesshomaru was.

`Time to face the crowed' thought Kagome turning towards her friends. At this time Inuyasha was standing, the spell fully worn off. Everyone was staring at Kagome.

"Listen why don't we si… I mean have a seat and I will explain," said Kagome taking a seat on the ground.

"Why the hell were you fighting my brother?" Yelled Inuyasha.

"I was fighting your brother because he challenged me to a duel and I needed to get my mind off of things, and I don't back down from challenges" said Kagome.

"You could have been killed. My baka brother is a cold-hearted ruthless killer." "Inuyasha he challenged me to a duel we both agreed not to kill each other and one weapon each."

"Do you think he would care?"

"Inuyasha your brother is not a ruthless killer; if he was Rin wouldn't be alive right now. Inuyasha, Sesshomaru saved Rin with Tenseiga."

"How would you know this?" asked Inuyasha.

At this point Kagome was nervous. She wasn't sure was Inuyasha's reaction would be.

"Sesshomaru helped raise me he trained me after my father died. He treats me like his own daughter. Sesshomaru has three children and his mate is human."

Everyone was silent after hearing what Kagome said. Koga was the first to break silence

"Kagome why do you smell like one of my pack members and have the scent of a royal demon family?"

"I don't come from this time Koga. I have the scent of your pack because my father is in your pack. He should be born in about a month. The reason of my royal blood is sometime soon the northern, southern, eastern, and western tribes will emerge, and later on my father will rule the tribe. He died and now I'm the ruler of the tribe." Kagome hadn't been looking at any one but Koga when explaining it.

Koga was in pure shock. "I have one last question, what happens to me?"

"Koga I would like to tell you but I can't just like I couldn't tell any one about me being a half demon, I'm under orders not to." Inuyasha jumped right in at that point.

"Who the hell told you not to tell us?!"

"Sesshomaru if he gives me orders I have to obey them."

`Technically Inuyasha and Koga are both of higher stature than I am but I'm not telling them that'

"What are you thinking following Sesshomaru's orders?"

"Inuyasha in my time he is a higher stature than I am and I have to fallow his orders plus it's the least I can do. He watches my pack when I'm here he has saved me numerous times, and he gives me hints about what's going to happen. He knows the out come of the final battle with Naraku…."

"Do you know what the out come is?" Asked Inuyasha. Everyone was waiting of the answer hoping it would be good news.

"No Inuyasha I don't know the out come of the battle, believe me when I say I've tried to get him to tell me. He knows more about our lives than we do. The only person here who I know there future is Koga.
