’s Story

Summary: Kagome is an intelligent girl going through the struggles of being a teenager. Her sisters are Kikyou and Kagura. She loves them with all of her heart, but wishes things to be different.

Kagura sat pushing her food around on her plate as her ‘family’ chatted happily about their days around her.

“I got a new job today!” Her mother just beamed with pure bliss.

“I’m sorry to report, that means I will be working nights now…So, Kagura, I want you to watch your little sister while I’m at work.” Kagura nodded solemnly and took a bite of her food.

‘I wonder what Kagome’s doing right now?’

“Daddy, I think Kagura leaving her at such a vital stage in her life crushed the poor girl!”

“Just because you’re an adult now, does not mean you understand the affairs! Things are complicated, Kikyou!” He smacked her hard across the face, causing her head to turn to the side. Ignoring the pain, for the sake of her dignity, she stalked towards her room.

‘I wonder what Kagome thought of the gift we got her?’

Tears slid from underneath her closed eyelids. She hugged the book to her chest and squealed in delight.

“They’re always here for me…” She whispered as she stared intently at the journal.

Eager to get started on sorting out her feelings, she sat down at her desk; she began to write.

‘Well, Kagura left me today. I know I probably sound like some infatuated teenage boy; I am not. I’m very much female. Anyway, Kagura is my older sister (17). She means the world to me; Kikyou (19) too. (I’m 15) She left me for her other family. A new little sister. A…Mom. It’s not fair! She’s supposed to be here! She and Kikyou promised me! Now they both have left me…I’m all alone. Poor, ugly, pathetic me left to suffer in their shadows.

On another note, there’s a new guy in school. His name is Inuyasha…’

The odd thing was…I’m watching Inuyasha at this very moment! Hehe! I missed it last week and I literally cried! Pathetic, ne? Well, it’s the The Mysterious Light That Guides The Saint. It angers me how he cares so for Kikyou, whom he can’t have…When Kagome’s right there! Waiting for him! And oddly, Kagura just showed up on there! Hehe! Onigumo was a naughty little boy with a lust for Kikyou! Hehe! Done rambling now.
