chapter 45

Gilligan's island part 1

Oh, yes, I made a mistake on my description of the Ginger Grant at the end of part 44. She is a
red head, not a blonde. Sorry, I was going off my memories and didn't research it properly.

Oh, in case someone isn't familiar with the series:

Oh, I should mention it has been more than 3 years since the castaways were stranded. And there
will be relationships between characters.

Kagome groans as she wakes up. Light, early morning light, is streaming through an open
window.

She blinks, ‘a thatch ceiling?' She sits up suddenly, the cotton blanket sliding down her white
robe. One hand goes to her forehead, rubbing it. ‘I'm in a hut? Laying on a bed? A western-style
cot at that. How? Who? And . . . My face and arms have been cleaned, but my body still feels
dirty, so a sponge bath, maybe?'

Kagome sees that she is in what looks like a thatch hut, like she's been many times, but, some of
the features in it, don't look right. ‘I'll figure it out later.' She thinks. ‘Right now, I need to see
about Sesshomaru.'

Sesshomaru is laying, a couple of meters away, on a bed, similar to the one that she is in.

She flicks off the blanket and, on shaky legs, she goes to Sesshomaru. "Sesshomaru?" she
whispers. She brushes his hair off his forehead.

His eyes open. They are hard and suspicious. They focus on her. His eyes soften, his hand
reaches up and brushes her hair from her face. "Kagome." He blinks and shakes his hand. "I had
a nightmare that we were captured and you had lost your hair." HE whispers.

Kagome's free hand, instantly, goes to her hair. Her voice catches, then, she says, "A nightmare,
Sesshomaru. Only a nightmare."

His lips twitch into a smile. He nods.

He takes a deep breath. ‘Hmmm . . . seven humans have been near us. Four men and three
women. Some of the scenes, though . . . very odd.' He thinks. ‘And we've both given a partial
bath with a new type of soap.'

He looks around, and growls. "Where are we? The windows, walls, and ceiling structure is all
wrong."

Kagome looks around. Her sleeping bag is laying against one wall. Next to it are Sesshomaru's
two swords and her sword. The two submachine guns that they acquired on the last world are
also next to the bag. Near the one window is a pot full of flowers. The flowers give off an odor
that perfumes the room. Other than that, though, the hut is bare of furnishing.

"And, this hut is freshly made. I can smell the freshness of the thatch and the wood." Sesshomaru
remarks. "Stand back, Kagome. I'm getting up."

She steps back.

Sesshomaru throws off the gray blanket and stands up. He is still wearing his white robe. His tail
automatically swirls around his shoulders, as it moves, it brushes against Kagome's face, tickling
her. She giggles.

His leg has a new bandage on it. They both look at it.

Kagome bends down and she looks at the bandage. "Not bad. How's the leg?"

Sesshomaru bends down, and casually cuts the bandage, revealing his healed leg. "I have my
powers in this world, Kagome. It is healed."

Kagome nods and stands up.

Sesshomaru pauses . . . his white robe changes into his traditional clothes.

Kagome, blinks, then smiles. "Forgot." She pauses, and her white robe changes into her
traditional school clothes.

Sesshomaru goes to his swords and places them at his waist. He hands Kagome her sword.

"Should I, Sesshomaru? I mean, however, found us could have taken them and the guns.
Wouldn't wearing this seem like, say, bad manners?" she asks.

"I will leave that decision to you Miko Higurashi Kagome. Although, I will mention that we have
had combat in every world, and it is my belief that our weapons were left as a way to gain our
confidence and to drop our wariness. For what reasons, this Sesshomaru, does not know, but he
will find out." Sesshomaru states.

Kagome grimaces. She looks at the sword. ‘He's right, but, my instincts are telling that we're
safe.' She purses her lips, nods, and places her sword around her waist. ‘I go with him. If he's
wrong, I'll be embarrassed. If he's right . . . I'll be able to, at least, try to protect myself.' She
thinks.

Sesshomaru goes to the door. ‘And the door is wrong. It's not a sliding door, but it's on hinges,
like a chest.'

He opens the door.

And as the door swings inward . . .

A tall thin young man, holding a wooden tray with a couple of bowls on it, walks into
Sesshomaru's chest. He is wearing tan pants and a red shirt, with a simple white cap on his head.

He bounces off, Sesshomaru's rock hard chest, landing on his butt. The two bowls of full of a
breakfast gruel land on his head, and while most of the grayish gruel slides down Gilligan's face .
. .

Some of it does splatter on Sesshomaru.

Sesshomaru blinks, ‘How in the hells . . . did that happen. I should have noticed that fool of a
human, even before I opened the door . . . ' he thinks. He frowns at the mess on himself.

His anger begins to raise . . .

"Gilligan!" A large fat man, wearing tan pants, a blue shirt and a strange cap, with a symbol that
Sesshomaru has never seen, yells.

"Gilligan, when are you going to learn to knock!" A short woman, with dark hair, wearing a
light-colored shirt, and very short pants.

A tall thin man in the mid-thirties, wearing a white shirt and tan pants, shakes his head in disgust
. . .

All of them were following the young man, whose name is, obviously, Gilligan.

Sesshomaru's hand tenses, Kagome can see his claws begin to extend and change color. She
grabs his hand. "Sesshomaru." She whispers. "Let me, through, please!" she begs in Japanese.

Sesshomaru and Kagome, under their breaths, sing the elven song of the language, as Kagome
squeezes pass him.

"Sesshomaru?" Gilligan asks. He wipes the gruel from his eyes, "Where's the ship?"

"Ship?" the short dark haired woman asks. "There's no ship here, Gilligan."

"Mary Ann. That name, Sesshomaru, ends in the Japanese suffix -maru. That suffix is the
traditional ending for all Japanese civilian oceangoing ships." The tall thin man states.

"Yes, the Professors right, Mary Ann. Gilligan and I learned that during the war." The fat man
says.

The tall thin man, the Professor, nods.

"Oh, thank you, Professor." The short dark hair woman, Mary Ann, smiles at him. "I didn't
know."

"There is no ship, Skipper?" Gilligan turns to ask the fat man, the Skipper.

The Skipper shakes his head, no. "No. Little buddy, that's just his name."

"Humans." Sesshomaru growls. "Idiots."

They all look at him.

Kagome used their short argument to get in front of Sesshomaru. She smiles at four humans. She
bows to them.

"My name is Higurashi Kagome." She says as she raises. "My companion is named Sesshomaru,
the Lord of the Western lands." She pauses. "Thank you for finding us on the beach."

"Ah, nothing to it." Gilligan says in a low voice. He is trying to ring the gruel out of his hat. "I
was just checking the fish nets and found you."

The Skipper clears his throat. "I am the Skipper of the USS Minnow." He puts his hands on
Gilligan's shoulders and lifts him to his feet. "This is my first mate, Gilligan."

"Hi." Gilligan waves his right hand, as with his left hand, he puts his cap back on.

"Hi, I'm Mary Ann." She smiles at Kagome.

The professor, narrows his eyes, and he says in Japanese, "Hello. My name is Roy Hinkley, jr.
but I am known as the Professor."

Sesshomaru's expression does not change, as he looks at the four humans.

Kagome smiles. "Thank you for helping us."

Then in Japanese, she says to the Professor, "thank you for greeting us in our language, but we
can speak English just as well."

She pauses, looking around at the castaways. "Ah. Could you, please, tell my companion and me
where we are?"

The four castaways look at each other.

Gilligan begins to chuckle.

The Skipper slaps his thigh and begins to bellylaugh.

Mary Ann grins and begins to giggle.

The Professor looks up into the sky. He covers his face with his left hand, to hide his smile as he
suppresses his laughter.

"Humans." Sesshomaru hisses, allowing anger into his voice.

Hearing that tone, the Professor, May Ann and The Skipper stop laughing. Gilligan chuckles a
couple of times, before he stops, as he realizes that he's the only one that is still laughing.

"Sesshomaru!" Kagome spins around so she can see him. His yellow eyes are beginning to
redden. "There is obviously something that we're missing, Ok! I'm sure that they'll explain, why
that question was so funny!" both her hands grab his wrists.

Sesshomaru looks down at Kagome. "Very well, Miko Higurashi Kagome, as a favor to you, I,
the lord of the western lands, will not kill them for the presumption of laughing in his face."

The four castaways gulp. "You don't mean that do you?" Mary Ann asks in a quiet voice.

Sesshomaru flicks his eyes at her. She cringes and shivers.

"Mary Ann?" Gilligan and the Professor ask.

She whispers, "I've seen that look in wolves eyes. He meant it."

Kagome turns her head, so she can see the four, she asks in a hesitant voice, "Ahmm. Could you
give me a couple of minutes alone with my companion, please?" She starts to push him back into
the hut.

The four look at each other, the skipper nods. "That's ok. We need to get you some more
breakfast, and there are three more of us, that you need to meet."

Kagome smiles, "thank you. Oh! Just one bowl of breakfast, please!"

She shoves Sesshomaru into the hut and using her foot, catches the door and slams it shut.

"Sesshomaru!" Kagome begins. "They are not a threat."

"Of course, not." He replies in his normal tone of voice. "They are weak, pathetic."

"That is no reason to threaten them, Sesshomaru!" Kagome begins to say, hotly, "that is a reason
to protect them!"

"They insulted me." He growls.

"They didn't know that, Sesshomaru!" Kagome replies, still in an excited tone, "They are
Americans, I could tell that before I used the song! They don't know about normal manners,
Ok!"

She pauses, "So, please, Sesshomaru, don't kill them. They found us, when we were
unconscious, brought us here, cared for your leg, and they were even bringing us breakfast. I'm
sure they don't mean us any harm."

She grabs one of the blankets that they were sleeping under and using it to clean him off. As she
finishes, Sesshomaru growls . . .

Sesshomaru looks at the window. In a flash, he is next to the window and reaching out it. He
picks up the Skipper, who was hiding below the window. "You want to protect this?" he asks.

"Yes, I do!" Kagome proclaims.

"Hey! Let me down!" the Skipper yells, as he pants are coming apart from the strain.

He shakes the Skipper and throws him in the bushes next to the hut.

Sesshomaru takes a deep breath and releases it in a whush. He looks at Kagome, shakes his head,
and begins to chuckle.

"And what's so funny, Sesshomaru?" Kagome asks, her lips trying to twist into a smile.

Sesshomaru reaches out and grabs Kagome's chin with his right hand. "Something I did not take
into account when I fell in love with you, my dear Kagome."

She smiles and she steps close to him, "And that is?"

"You, especially, since you are a Miko, will have to be around humans."

She nods.

"And, while I love you, that has not changed my opinion about other humans." Sesshomaru
sighs.

"Oh, I see." Kagome whispers. "I'm a people person and your not." Her mouth twitches, "Yes, a
problem I haven't thought about."

She grins. "We have been busy fighting, and we haven't been in a peaceful setting. I'd forgotten
how much you hate humans." She looks at him, "I am sorry."

Sesshomaru nods. "Thank you, my dear." He sighs. "And I'm sure that you'll disagree with the
simple solution to this problem."

"Which is?" Kagome asks in suspicious voice.

"Kill them all."

"Sesshomaru." She growls at him, as she steps back away from him.

His mouth twitches into a smile. "I thought so." He sighs and frowns. "Lady Miko Higurashi
Kagome, I have been around you long enough to understand that you will want to make friends
with these humans."

She nods.

"I will, out of my feelings for you, decline to kill or maim them." He raises his hands and points
a finger in her face. "But, there are limits to the abuse I will suffer. And given your healing
spells and Tenseiga, I can and will kill them to prove a point, since they can be brought back to
life, later."

Kagome grimaces. "That's not very helpful, Sesshomaru, lord of the western lands. Killing
someone just to prove you can, isn't a good idea." She pauses. "How about this, once we
introduce ourselves, we'll see if you can leave the area. You know, we can use the excuse that
you want to scout the area."

"I intensely dislike leaving you alone." He growls.

Kagome blushes and smiles, "I think I'll be Ok, Sesshomaru. Even if they are trying to trick us,
like you think, they'll not move quickly. And . . . you exploring the area will tell us if they are
tricking us."

Sesshomaru rubs his chin, in thought, "Hmm. If they try to keep us together, here in one location,
then they are hiding something."

"So, if they are tricking us, they'll refuse to let you go." Kagome smiles, "And if they are the
friendly people, which I think that they are, then letting you explore is harmless, even helpful."

Sesshomaru nods. "A test, then, for they trustworthiness."

Kagome steps close to him. She reaches out and hugs him. "Sesshomaru. I know that talking
with and dealing with humans, is not something that you like." She says staring into his eyes. He
hugs her back.

"An understatement." He replies, a twinkle in his eyes.

"Yes. I know. So, Sesshomaru, Lord of the Western Lands, I wish to thank you, before hand, for
your infinite patient and mercy as you deal with these humans." Kagome says, with a
mischievous smile on her lips.

"Infinite?" Sesshomaru eyebrows rise.

"I laid it on a bit too thick?" Kagome whispers.

"A bit." He pauses. "The monk, I presume?"

"Yes. He used that line, or something similar to it, once." She pauses. "It even worked, sort of."

"I don't need to know the details." Sesshomaru states.

He grabs Kagome's chin and lifts her head. He stares into her eyes. "When I fell in love with
you, I didn't think everything through." He whispers.

"About what?" She whispers.

"My desire to please you, or in this case, my desire not to gain your wrath, controls my behavior.
I didn't expect that."

"You thought that you could do as you pleased, without regard to my feelings?" She asks in a
suspicious tone.

Sesshomaru sighs. "Not entirely, but I severely underestimated what the strength of my desire to
please you has become."

Kagome blushes a deep red. "Sesshomaru . . . " Kagome whispers, "Do you know how much . . .
"

Kagome's hands move up his back and to the back of his head. Her fingers entangle themselves
in his hair. She pulls his head to her hers.

Their eyes continue to look into each other's eyes.

His mouth opens. Her mouth opens. Their lips meet. Her tongue enters his mouth, finding his
fangs and twirling around them.

His long and sinuous tongue enters her mouth and begins to caress it.

He picks her up off the ground. His tail wraps around her.

His hand's reaches her the bottom of her skirt and go under them, caressing her buttocks. Her
right hand goes to the back of his head and her fingers entwine in his hair. Her left hand goes to
his ass and begins to play with the base of his tail.

He takes a step toward one of the cots in the hut.

The door to the hut opens.

"Gilligan! I told you to knock!" Mary Ann yells!

Kagome and Sesshomaru break the kiss and look at the open doorway.

Standing in it, grouped together are all seven of the castaways.

Sesshomaru growls, deep in his chest, and releases Kagome. He turns to face the humans.

But, she hangs onto him, protecting the humans.

Kagome' face is beet red as she yells, "Please, some privacy!"

"Oh! We're sorry!" Mary Ann calls. "Gilligan! Come back in!" She grabs the back of Gilligan's
pants and pulls him back through the door.

The Professor is about to close the door, when a tall redheaded woman, asks, "can't you leave it
open, he looks absolutely scrumptious." She smiles as her eyes travel up and down Sesshomaru
body.

"No. Ginger. We can give them a couple of minutes." The professor says as he closes the door.

The door closes.

Kagome takes a deep breath. "Well . . . That was embarrassing." She whispers.

Kagome and Sesshomaru separate, but continue to stand close to each other.

Sesshomaru narrows his eyes. "There is something about the boy that they call Gilligan. That's
twice now, that I've not known what he is doing."

"You could hear them?" Kagome begins, "sorry, of course you could." She flicks her eyes at him,
"Of course you knew where they were, and yet, you were still kissing me . . . "

"I had assumed that they would have knocked." Sesshomaru answers her.

He brings his finger up to her mouth and wipes off the spittle that is around it. "And, kissing you
is." He grins, "infinitely more enjoyable than talking with those idiots."

Kagome pauses. "I don't know if I should kiss you for the compliment or kick you because they
are human and you shouldn't insult them." She takes a deep breath. "But, let's meet them, first.
Before you get any more bright ideas."

"Hmmm . . . I suppose. The sooner this is done the sooner we can leave." Sesshomaru grumbles.

Kagome takes a deep breath, straightens her clothes, pats down her hair. "Do I look, OK?"

"No. You don't look ok." Sesshomaru begins. He pauses, letting her eyes grow wide and letting
her lips begin to ask the inevitable question, then he says, "your beauty will never be only ‘Ok'.
Whatever that really means."

Kagome smiles. "Thank you, my dear Sesshomaru. When we get some privacy. I'll give you a
proper thank you for that."

Her eye's flicks down his body, "you are, of course, prefect. Let's go meet our rescuers, shall
we?"

He nods.

Kagome opens the door.

She leads Sesshomaru out of the hut. Standing in front of the hut is seven humans. Four of them,
they already met. Three are new.

Kagome bows. "I am Higurashi Kagome. A simple high school student. My companion is
Sesshomaru, Lord of the Western lands."

"I am, as you should know from the finance pages, Thurston Howell the third." The oldest man
in the group says. He is wearing a fancy formal suit. He pats the woman's shoulder next to him.

"This is my wife Eunice Wentworth ‘Lovey' Howell." She is an older woman, a full head grey
hair. She is wearing an evening gown. It is somewhat threadbare, but still in fine shape. She
smiles, hiding her smile behind a fan.

The tall beautiful redhead woman, wearing a skin tight, a very thin floor-length dress, also
somewhat thread-bore, blinks her heavily massacred eyelids at Sesshomaru, "And I am the
movie star, Ginger Grant." She purrs.

"Thank you for finding and rescuing us." Kagome bows again.

"Companion?" Ginger whispers to Mary Ann. "He's only her companion?"

Mary Ann nods.

"And those eyes . . . " Ginger whispers. "They're lovely."

Ginger smiles, her eyes traveling down Sesshomaru body. ‘He's available.' She thinks.

Sesshomaru flicks his eyes across all seven of the castaways, before settling his eyes on Gilligan.
HE stares, hard, using all his senses at him. He thinks, ‘I will found out why, that human snuck
up on me, twice.'

Thurston Howell III, frowns, "Young fellow. That look was very insulting. I am one of the
world's wealthiest men. And I expect to be treated accordingly."

Kagome draws in a breath, her hand going to Sesshomaru's holding it.

Sesshomaru flicks his eyes back to Thurston Howell. "You are a human male. It is only due to
my companion that you," His eyes flick across all seven castaways. "All of you, are alive."

Sesshomaru eyes lock onto Thurston Howell's.

Thurston's Howell knees buckle and he goes white in terror. ‘I have sat across from many sharks
on wall street, never have I seen that much contempt in my life. I believe him.'

All the castaways draw in a deep breath.

"Please! Everyone!" Kagome pleads. "Everything is fine. Nobody is threatening anybody. Let's
talk, please!"

Kagome looks at Gilligan, who is still carrying a tray with a bowl of gruel on it. "I am hungry.
And we can talk and explain things as we eat, OK?"

The castaways look at each other, they pause, silently considering.

"And my companion would like to explore this island, is that OK?" Kagome asks in a soft voice.

Everyone looks at the Skipper. He gulps, "Sure. I think that's a good idea." He does not look at
Sesshomaru.

Kagome turns to Sesshomaru smiles and says, "good. Sesshomaru, lord of the western lands, you
can scout the island, like you wished. And I'll stay here, eat and talk."

"Are you sure, Lady Miko Higurashi Kagome?" Sesshomaru asks.

She nods, "I'm sure. Everything will be fine, Lord Sesshomaru."

Sesshomaru nods. He looks around. He sniffs. ‘The food is fine. And I will stay within hearing of
her.'

"I will return." He says to Kagome. He turns and walks off into the forest.

Everyone watches him vanish into the trees.

Sesshomaru, once he gets out of sight, stops. He moves so he can see Gilligan, as he, Kagome
and the rest of the castaways move to a large outdoor table. He reconcentrates his senses on him.

"Bad Luck . . . " Sesshomaru whispers, his eyes widen. ‘I've seen the demons that cause bad luck
have a weaker aura. Anything, without warning, can happen around him . . . chaos . . . '

His eyes narrow. He directs his senses to the hut, where he and Kagome were sleeping. ‘Yes, I
can sense the cube. It is still in her sleeping bag, where I shoved it during the flight here. It was
rubbing between the two of us.'

His eyes flick to Gilligan. "Chaos." Sesshomaru whispers. "Yes. I can see it. The Chaos of the
cube and Gilligan. The cube must be planning to do something with Gilligan."

He glances around, making sure that everyone is still sitting around Kagome as she is talking to
them. ‘My first thought is to grab the cube, and hide it.'

His eyes bore into Gilligan. ‘But. With that aura . . . If I do that, I'm suddenly sure, that
somehow, someway, he'll find it. But, if I keep on my body or in Kagome's possession . . . he'll
be around us, and something will happen.'

He sighs. ‘I've read enough stories and been around enough bad luck demons to know that we
are in trouble.' His lips twitch, ‘And I can't even kill the bastard. Given the strength of his aura,
I'm sure that if I tried, some sort of bad luck would happen and prevent me from killing him.'

He nods. ‘If I try to avoid the bad luck, which is coming, it will be worse. That is what happens,
the more you avoid your destiny, the worse it becomes. So, I will not stir the hornet's nest of his
bad luck. So, hopefully, when his bad luck hits . . . it will be survivor able. Once I get Kagome
alone, I will explain my plan to her.'

Sesshomaru looks around, ‘meanwhile, I will explore this island. I will stay close enough so I can
hear them.'

He moves, exploring the island . . .

*************************************************

Kagome walks to the center of the clearing. Around the clearing are the huts of the castaways.
One of the huts is for the Skipper and Gilligan, one for the Howells, a third for the two women
and finally one for the Professor, plus another large storage hut. In front of the Howells hut is a
foot-powered car made out of bamboo.

She points to it, "Is that what I think it is?"

"Of course, I must have a car and driver. You can't expect me, Thurston Howell the third to walk
around the island." Thurston Howell says in his most pompous voice.

The Professor shrugs as he says, "Something to pass the time." He smiles, "Although some of the
engineering in it is unique."

"Engineering? You mean math." Kagome grimaces.

"Of course. The calculations to determine exactly where everything went were a challenge." The
Professor replies in a hopeful tone of voice, "after your explanation, do you wish to see them?"

Kagome shakes her head, no. "Thank you, but, I must pass, sir. Math has never been my best
subject."

Since she is shaking her head, she doesn't notice the looks on Ginger and Mary Ann's faces.

As Kagome is walking to the large outdoor table, she notices a stack of thin thatch walls, and
roof next to the large storage hut. She nods her head in that direction.

"I made your hut out of them." Gilligan points to them.

"Tropical storm season will be starting soon." The Skipper remarks, "we've learned to have
some spare walls and roofs ready, just in case."

"Thank you, for the explanation." Kagome smiles to the Skipper.

"Your name is Higurashi? Right?" Mary Ann asks, as she directs her to the large table the
castaways use.

"Yes, It is. Your name is Mary Ann?" Kagome replies.

Kagome stands next to the table, looking at the castaways. She sighs. "I do wish to apologize for
my companion." She shakes her head. "He has good reasons to dislike humans, but. That is no
excuse."

Her stomach grumbles, loud enough that everyone can hear it. She blushes and covers her
stomach.

The Skipper clears his throat, and looks around, "IT's Ok, miss. We've had problems like this
before. Go ahead and eat, then we can talk."

She bows to the Skipper, "thank you."

Kagome sits down at the table. ‘Stupid sword.' She thinks as she has to reposition it, as the hilt
stabs into her side.

Gilligan places the tray in front of her. The other castaways line up on the other side of the table,
where they can watch her.

Kagome begins to eat the mush of wild rice, cocoanut, banana, and some berries she doesn't
recognize and drinking the cocoanut milk that they gave her. But . . . she is the only one eating,
and the castaways are just standing there . . . staring at her, occasionally whispering among
themselves.

Kagome's eyes narrow, just a little, as she looks at Gilligan. ‘There is an aura of bad luck around
him. A powerful aura.'

"Can I have some salt, Please?" she asks. She is handed some and uses it, but she keeps the rest
of the salt, near her. She fakes a cough to hide a simple good luck spell, which she directs at the
salt. The spell is a simple spell to enhance the good luck that is naturally found in salt.

"Miss?" the Skipper asks?

"Nothing!" She smiles back. "Everything is fine."

Kagome eats about half the food in front of her, then she blushes as she pushes the bowl away,
and says, "I'm done eating for now." She, still seated, bows her head to Mary Ann. "That was a
lovely breakfast, but, I don't seem to be as hungry as I thought I was."

"It's ok, my dear." Lovey Howell says, "I remember once, during a debutante ball, the girl had to
leave the room, mid-meal. Eating in public, especially the first time, can be a harrowing
experience."

Kagome, still seated, bows to Mrs. Howell. "Thank you, madam. I can see that all of you wish to
know more about myself and my companion."

All the castaways either nod, or mumble "yes."

Gilligan leans over and picks the tray. Kagome ‘accidentally', she'll swear, knocks over the far
of salt. She blushes in embarrassment. "Sorry. I'm just clumsy, today." She mumbles.

"Nope, that was my fault." Gilligan apologizes, "the skipper says all the time that I've got 10
thumbs. I'm always making messes." As he cleans up the spilled salt.

Kagome looks at Gilligan, with her mystical senses, she thinks, ‘That spell, combined with the
purifying power of salt, should have had some effect on his aura of bad luck. But his aura is
soooo powerful that nothing happened . . . '

Kagome sighs. She looks up in the air, gathering her thoughts. "Hmmmm . . . " She lowers her
eyes, looking at the group. "You've all been very kind and helpful to us. This food, the hut, even
bandaging my companion's leg."

She sighs. "I wish I could be as forthcoming as I would like to be, but . . . " She grimaces.

"Your companion has a strong military background, and believes in keeping information on a
need to know basis?" The Professor asks.

Kagome nods. "Thank you. The Professor, right? How did you know?"

He nods, pointing to her sword. "Your sword, his swords, those guns. Obviously your
companion, as you call it, and yourself, has military experience. And secrets and the military go
together."

"Yes, Thank you, sir. There are some things I do not know. There are some things, I know, but I,
also know that my companion would like to be keep secret, and then there are things that I can
say." She says.

She sighs, "So, I will tell you what I can, but please. I may not, for various reasons, be able to
answer all your questions."

The castaways huddle.

"Tell us what you can." The Skipper requests after the huddle.

Kagome nods. "Thank you for understanding." She pauses. "I suppose you can call us, travelers
or visitors, for a few days. Perhaps in two days, perhaps in as much as a week, the two of us will
vanish, onto our next stop on our way home."

"You're going to be leaving the island?" That question or variations of it explode from most of
the castaways.

"Huh?" Kagome is surprised at the intensity of the question. "Ah, yes. The . . . Ah . . . Device
that brought us here, will take us some place else."

"Take us with you!" That exclamation or variations of it burst from the lips of most of the
castaways.

"Huh?" Kagome looks at them, she notices for the first time the threadbare and worn appearance
of most of the clothes. "You're all lost on this island?"

The castaways look at each other. The Skipper grimaces. "I'm the skipper. I'll tell it."

They all nod at him.

"Over three years ago."

"Three years, six months, thirteen days." The Professor notes, interrupting the skipper.

"We all left Hawaii on a three hour fishing trip. There was a huge storm, and three days later, my
ship, the USS Minnow, crashed on this island and we have been castaways on it, ever since."

Kagome covers her mouth, "Oh my. I am so sorry." She looks at them. They all look back at her
with various happy expression on their faces. All of them are thinking that they'll be able to leave
the island soon . . .

Kagome looks at the table, ‘I cannot look them in the eyes, when I say this.' She thinks.

She whispers. "I am truly sorry, but, the device that brought us to this island . . . It only works
for the two of us . . . I'm sooo sorry."

"Are you sure?" Thurston Howell asks.

Kagome nods. "Yes. Only the two of us can use it."

"Can you tell me anything about it, or show it to me? So I might be able to duplicate that . . . the
device." The Professor asks.

Kagome bites her lips, but shakes her head, no. "I am sorry, but I can't." She sighs, "besides, the
device is something we don't understand, ourselves." She smiles. "You might be lost on this
island, but my companion and I are lost between worlds."

"Worlds?" most of the castaways ask.

The exception is the professor. He nods. "I thought so. Your companion is not from this world is
he?"

Everyone looks at the professor.

Kagome looks around, then says, "yes, we are from a different world than this." She pauses,
"how did you know?"

The professor's eyebrows raise, "your companion has a tail, claws and fangs."

Ginger whispers to Mary Ann, "I thought those were from some fancy plastic surgery, and not
real."

"They're real. I tried to tell you that last night, after I finished bandaging his leg." Mary Ann
whispers back, "but you were so busy looking at his chest, that you weren't listening."

Ginger whispers back, "I was looking at his hair, not his chest. Did you feel it? I've never felt
anything so silky."

"Yes. And it's wonderful. But, shut up, will you. I want to listen to them." Mary Ann asks.

They fall silent.

As they were whispering . . . the professor said . . .

"Judging by his clothes, I assume he is some sort of demon or spirit from some Japanese myth.
Given his features, I'd say he is related to a canine-related demon, perhaps foxes or dog? Foxes
were more common in Japanese myths, but his features seem dog-related." He shakes his head, "I
never really took a course in comparative Japanese mythology, so I may be mistaken."

He looks at Kagome. "And he called you a ‘Miko' which is the Japanese term for a female
Shinto priestess."

Kagome nods. "Yes. While you're not absolutely correct, Professor, but you're close enough."

"And," The Professor begins again, "The clothes that you and your companion have on are very
different from the white robe you were wearing." He nods to Gilligan, "Gilligan did, by accident
I assure you, spill that bag you had with you and no additional clothes were in that bag."

Kagome blushes and nods.

"So, you are from a different world?" Mary Ann asks.

"Yes." Kagome says.

"Are you sure you can't get us off this island? My company will be willing to pay a handsome
finder fee. I assure you." Thurston Howell remarks.

Kagome bows to him, "I am sorry, sir. But, even if the device worked for you, all it would do is
shift you to a different world. So, you would be trading being lost on this world, for being lost
between many worlds."

"Young lady." thurston Howell stares at her. "I am not a fool. All this traveling between worlds
and such that you've been saying is a fancy tale and not the truth. My company needs me and
your ‘device' as you can your boat, is the way off this island and I am prepared to pay
handsomely for passage off this island."

Kagome sighs, "Sir. I am not lying. While I'm not saying everything I know, I do know that the
‘device' is not a way off this island that you would want to use."

Mr. Howell hrmphs. "I will be the one to determine that, child. Now, show us where your boat
is." He moves to stand next to Kagome.

"Ship. Mr. Howell." The Skipper interrupts. "You call ocean going vessels ships, not boats."

"Be that as it may, Skipper." Thurston Howell replies. He reaches out to grab Kagome's arm.
"This child will get up and show us . . . "

He stops . . .

Sesshomaru is standing next to Kagome. His clawed hand is gripping Mr. Howell's wrist.
"Nobody touches her."

Mr. Howell turns his head, opens his mouth in shock . . . and stands there frozen in fear . . .

Sesshomaru is glaring at him, with a gaze designed and practiced in turning demons into jelly . . .

Kagome scrambles to her feet.

The castaways all take a step back in surprise and shock from Sesshomaru's sudden appearance.

"Sesshomaru!" Kagome cries. "He didn't mean anything!" She grabs his hand and begins to pry
Sesshomaru's fingers off his Mr. Howell's wrist.

Sesshomaru growls.

"Sesshomaru! Listen to me, if we had been stranded on this island for more than three years,
wouldn't you be suspicious about someone new? And wouldn't you want to force them to help
you leave the island?"

Sesshomaru looks at Kagome. He nods and releases Mr. Howells's wrist. He stumbles back into
the arms of his wife.

Kagome moves between Sesshomaru and the castaways. She looks at the castaways and sighs.
"You've all been perfect hosts, and I wish to apologize . . . " She pauses, "For any problems
we've caused."

She bites her lips. "I think, though, it would be best, if Sesshomaru and I spent some time alone,
talking. This . . . the situation is . . . "

"Not what you're used to?" Ginger asks.

Kagome nods.

The castaways huddle. They break the huddle. The Skipper clears his throat, "Yes. That might be
best. Ah, we would like to talk with you some more, though."

The Professor nods, "new people are always a pleasure."

Ginger and Mary Ann look at each other, nod, and say, "yes, we would like to talk to you some
more."

The rest of castaways, with the exception of Mr. Howell, nod.

Kagome licks her lips, looks at the sky, it is still midmorning, she says, "Ah . . . I'll try to return
before sunset."

"We eat about an hour before sunset." Gilligan supplies helpfully.

"Yes, my little buddy, is correct." The Skipper says, as he places his arm around Gilligan's
shoulder. "And you are invited for supper." His eyes flick to Sesshomaru. "Both of you."

Kagome bows. "Thank you. I will not make any promises, but, joining you for supper would be
enjoyable."

Kagome snakes her arm around Sesshomaru's arm, "Come on, Sesshomaru. Let's grab my bag.
We both need to clean up and you can tell me about this island."

She starts to drag him off toward the hut where they woke up.

"There is a nice waterfall off in that direction." Ginger yells as she points. "It's only a few
minutes walk away."

"We use it for bathing all the time." Gilligan adds.

Kagome nods. "Thank you." She calls back as she and Sesshomaru enter the hut

‘And . . . I know where there is nice place to spy on him.' Ginger thinks.

Mary Ann elbows Ginger, she whispers, "I've seen that look in your eyes before, Ginger."

"I don't know what you're talking about." Ginger whispers back.

"Ginger. You saw that kiss. They're together."

"So." Ginger shrugs, "If they are together then nothing will happen, and if they're not, well . . . "
She smiles. "I wonder what that tail will feel like against me."

"You have a one track mind, you know." Mary Ann shakes her head as she finishes whispering to
Ginger.

"Professor?" The Skipper whispers as he asks. "Do you have any idea about?"

"About what, Skipper? How close we came to dying, or about the device she mentioned?" He
whispers back.

"Both." Gilligan adds in.

"IF she wasn't here, we would be dead. I'm sure of that." The Professor says authoritatively.

All three men nod.

The professor continues, "As far as the device goes . . . When we were repacking that bag last
night. There were only two items in it that might be it. One looked like a camera, and the other
was that metal cube that Gilligan was playing with."

"I was not!" Gilligan whispers hotly. "It moved when I touched it and was trying to put it back."

"Little buddy." The Skipper pats Gilligan's shoulder, "it's ok. If that had been the device then
something would have happened. But since it didn't, it has to be something else, right,
Professor?"

The Professor shrugs. "I didn't get a good look at either device last night."

They stop talking and look at the hut.

‘I'll get that camera device and show it to the professor.' Gilligan thinks.

‘It's that cube.' The professor thinks. ‘There was something about it . . . I'll have to study it in
daylight to be sure.'

"Thurston, he's just a foreigner," Lovey Howell reassures her husband. "And, of course, he is a
violent bore. No doubt he is twisting that pretty young girl into some perverted slave." She rubs
his wrist, trying to lessen the swelling.

"Yes. Of course." Mr. Howell replies, "He is just an ignorant foreigner and he wouldn't know
about civilized behavior." He nods.

He thinks, ‘I'll hire Gilligan to spy on them. He'll find the boat that they are hiding, then, since
it's only big enough for two, Lovey and I will finally leave this island.'

Inside the hut, as the castaways are talking . . .

"Do we have everything?" Kagome asks Sesshomaru as she swings her submachine gun on her
back. Sesshomaru swings his gun on his back and picks up the sleeping bag.

Sesshomaru raises his eyebrow, "you were the one to lessen this during the escape on the last
world." He holds up the bag. "I don't know all that you put in it."

Kagome blushes. "Sorry. I wasn't thinking." She takes a deep breath. "I'll examine it later."

"Yes. The sooner we leave this place, the happier I'll be." Sesshomaru states, disgust in his
voice.

Kagome grimaces, "It's not that bad, Sesshomaru."

Sesshomaru looks at her, "Do you want to know what they are saying out there?"

Kagome looks sharply at him, "No." She shakes her head and sighs. "There are times,
Sesshomaru, when your senses . . . "

"Surprise you?" he says smugly.

"Oh, occasionally, but, what they are saying is private and it's like your eavesdropping on them."
Her eyes narrow, "just like the Skipper was spying on us."

"It is necessary for our survival." Sesshomaru explains. "And I am not to be compared to a
human." He growls

Kagome grimaces again and sighs, "I apologize, Lord of the Western Lands. I know spying is
important. I just don't like it." She pauses. "Anything which really concerns us?"

"Gilligan played with the cube last night."

Kagome sighs in relief. "It's a good thing that the cube's needs a couple of days to recharge. I'd
hate to think about what would happen if he was to touch the cube when it's fully charged."

Sesshomaru nods. "My thoughts exactly, my dear." He pauses. "You did notice his aura?"

Kagome nods. "Bad luck. He is a walking bad luck factory."

"Factory?"

"He creates bad luck."

Sesshomaru nods.

"Anything else?" Kagome asks.

Sesshomaru pauses, ‘She already knows that the old man is an uncultured idiot. And the redheads
lust for myself is inconsequential.'

He shakes his head. "Nothing important."

Kagome smiles, "Then, let's see if we can find that waterfall. I really want to wash off all of the
dirty from that graveyard that we hid in." She shivers.

Sesshomaru nods. "Yes, since we haven't bathed in several days our odors are getting rank. And
I've already found that waterfall, and a cave for us tonight."

"Good. Thank you. And our odor is, no doubt why, why they gave us a sponge bath last night,
and put some perfume around the hut." She remarks.

Sesshomaru nods. He opens the door to the hut and they leave it.

Kagome waves to the castaways as Sesshomaru wraps his arm around her waist. His tail encircles
her waist, also.

He starts to fly toward the waterfall.

The castaways look at them, their mouths falling open, pointing and exclaiming at the sight of
Sesshomaru and Kagome flying away.

Sesshomaru stops, spins to face the castaways and in a loud voice, declares, "I expect privacy. If
you fail to respect this polite request."

He forms his acid whip and destroys the hut that he and Kagome came out of. "I don't give
additional warnings."

"Sesshomaru!" Kagome cries, everyone can hear her, "That was unnecessary! I'm sure we would
have been given some privacy! They're polite persons!"

"And they will prove it, by not spying on us." Sesshomaru replies, also in a loud voice.

They fly, out of eyesight and earshot of the castaways, still arguing about privacy and politeness.

********************************

"Did you see that?!" Gilligan cries as Sesshomaru and Kagome vanish.

"Yes, Gilligan, we saw." Mary Ann says.

"Professor?" at least a couple of the castaways ask and look at him.

He shrugs. "He is a creature out of myth and legends. She probably is as well. Those clothes,
remember? They were wearing a white robe, and there were no extra clothes in that bag, just
some towels."

"How powerful?" The Skipper asks.

The professor shrugs. "I don't know. But, I'm sure that there is nothing on this island that can
harm him and probably her as well."

"His leg?" Mary Ann asks.

"That happened before they arrived here, Mary Ann."

"Are we in danger?" Mrs. Howell asks, "He seems so violent."

"Mrs. Howell." The Professor replies, "As long as Higurashi Kagome is with him, we'll be safe,
I'm sure. But, if she wasn't here, we'd be dead."

She nods. "A violent barbarian, just like I thought. Tonight when they return, we must teach him
culture."

The professor blinks and shakes his head, ‘No. I am not going to say it. I'm not going to tell her
that in all likelihood, he thinks that we are barbarians. Japanese mythical creatures had a very
high opinion of themselves.'

Since this is a story about Kagome and Sesshomaru . . . let's leave the castaways, for now . . .

********************************************

Sesshomaru lands next to a lagoon with a waterfall splashing into it. Rich tropical plants
surround the area, giving them at least the illusion of privacy.

The two let go of each other and step apart.

"Romantic." Kagome whispers.

"I suppose." Sesshomaru states.

Kagome smiles, "Do you know how much it costs to go to a tropical island for a vacation in my
time?"

"No. How could I?"

"Sorry." She blushes, "What I was trying to say is that in my time, this setting." She waves her
hands at the tropical paradise around them. "Would be considered expensive and romantic, like
that setting on the world with the elves?"

"Them." Sesshomaru states in disgust. "Still, This Sesshomaru, does see the benefits of this
place." He smiles, "and any place that you consider to be romantic, I will as well."

"Sesshomaru?" Kagome asks.

"Yes, Higurashi Kagome?"

"Remember when I was talking about staying a week or so to rest up?"

"You wish to stay on this world?"

"Yes."

Sesshomaru rubs his chin, "I suppose. I'd like to get away from that Gilligan. He is the only
potential threat on this island. His bad luck will cause problems. But, those problems will happen
in two days or in a week."

Kagome nods. "Thank you, Sesshomaru." She bows to him.

She looks around, ‘this looks like some of the vacation brochures . . . that honeymoon brochure
that the girls and I giggled over last year . . . '

She smiles. "Sesshomaru? Do you know what a honeymoon is?"

"A vacation between two newlyweds." Sesshomaru begins, automatically.

He pauses.

He smiles. "A very wonderful idea, my dear Kagome. And it gives us something to do for the
next week."

Kagome smiles. The tips of her teeth slip out between her lips. "Yes, it does. Doesn't it?"

A pause as they consider the implications of that exchange . . .

She looks at Sesshomaru. She purses her lips, "Hmm, Sesshomaru?"

He raises an eyebrow in a silent question.

"When I was talking to them about our relationship . . . " She trails off. "I keep calling you my
companion." She sighs. "Is that all right? Or do you prefer something else?"

"Hmmm." Sesshomaru pauses as he thinks, "I would, of course, prefer you to call yourself my
mate, or husband, if you prefer, since that is the human name for the relationship. But," He nods
to her. "I can see why you are not using that term."

"Yes. Until we're home and . . . "

"And Inu-yasha place in our relationship is determined."

Kagome nods.

"You don't want to use that term." Sesshomaru finishes.

"It just sounds wrong to me, Sesshomaru." Kagome mentions. "Do you have a different term you
that you want me use?"

(Do you, the reader, have a suggestion?)

Preview chapter 46 Honeymoon part 1.

Kagome smiles, "And . . . " She looks around, "And I itch, terribly." She whispers in a husky
voice. Her right hand brushes against her groin. Her clothes change from her normal school
clothes into a thin, semi-transparent one-piece swimsuit. The stubble of her pubic hair is visible.

Sesshomaru smiles, "I did promise you a shave."

Kagome reaches out and hugs him. "And this time, we're not going to be interrupted."

Sesshomaru pauses, his senses check the surrounding area. "Yes. We will not be interrupted."

He hugs her. His hands slide down her back, and he cups her buttocks shoving her against him.

Her hands slide down his back. She cups his buttocks shoving him against her.

"Finally."

They both say at the same time . . .

Authors' note: Sesshomaru and Kagome will be on the island for a longer period of time than
normal. And while here, they'll interact further with the castaways, and I'll finally do the full
lemon that readers have been asking since the start of the story . . .

But, also . . .

There will be time for them to talk . . . about anything.

So, if you, the readers, have something, you think that they need to talk about, please tell me and
I'll see about working it into their conversation. (There are a couple of things that they won't talk
about, but, still . . . this is the time to ask questions or make comments, whatever you wish.)

If you have a question you want Sesshomaru to ask Kagome about . . .

Or

IF you have a question you want Kagome to Sesshomaru about . . .

Mention them now . . .

This is the only time in the storyline where the two of them are going to have a lot of free time on
their hands.
