Please note: this chapter will retell, with changes, the first few episodes of Inu-yasha. I will be
concentrating on the changes that take place, so, unless mentioned, the reader can assume that
any other scenes remain basically the same. (Although, there are no scenes with her grandfather
or with Sota. Her grandfather is dead . . . and Sota, well, I'll get to him later.)

On Higurashi Kagome's fifteenth birthday…


Her father, a heavyset barrel of a man, with close-cropped hair, and bloodshot eyes, opens the
door and points to the well house. "Go and hide in there, Kagome. The customer is supposed to
arrive in about fifteen minutes. It'll take about ten to fifteen minutes to get things organized after
he arrives, so, I'll want you to reenter the house in about half-an-hour." He growls at her, his
breath, even this early in the morning stinks of a mix of beer and saki.

Kagome, who is wearing her normal school clothes, sighs, and nods her head.

Her father slaps her behind, hard, "go, bitch!" he grunts.

Kagome, rubbing her behind, walks over to the well house door.

"And don't forget that this is supposed to be a surprise!" her father calls out to her, "So, when he
starts to rape you, fight back, just a little. Then, start to pretend that you like being raped." He
orders.

"I know what to do, daddy." Kagome whines back, "I've done this before you know. The young
school girl coming home to an awaiting rapist gag, is something that you sell, a lot."

"Good. Do it right this time, and I'll even give you a little extra later." He says as he slams the
door shut.

Kagome goes into the well house, closes the door and sits down leaning against it. She thinks, ‘I
hate daddy. He's been selling my body, and mom's to pay for his gambling, alcohol and drugs
for years. And he ought to know by now, what I like and want I don't like to do. Not that my
feelings every matter to him.'

Her lips snarl, ‘And, now, the only way out of this life is with an education, and he sells me
during the day, so I can't go to school and get out of this life. I want to someone important, not
just a whore. I want to be famous, not infamous as a child-pornstar. I want to be rich, and not
have to give daddy all my money. I want…'

Scratch…

She looks at the covered old well. ‘Something? Damn it, did he tell the guy the wrong info? Shit.
I hate going down there, but, if the guy is waiting to rape me down there, instead of the house,
I'd better go to him.'

Kagome stands up and walks down the rickety old stairs and stands next to the covered well.
"Anybody down here?" she calls into the shadowy darkness.

The wooden boards covering the well shatter and multiple arms grab her.

Mistress Centipede is making her appearance.


Kagome falls through the well, and she powers activate, removing an arm, so she can get free.

She lands on the other side of the well, and crawls up it. ‘No. I'm not going to call out, who
knows what type of thugs that might attract.' She thinks as she climbs. ‘Although, what
happened to the roof?'

The peaceful scene of feudal japan greets her as she steps out of the well.

She looks down at the well, and then looks around. ‘Chances are, that the way back is through
here as well…' she thinks. ‘Daddy will be expecting me and if I don't show up in a few
minutes… he'll charge into the well house. And what was a pretend rape, which I occasionally
enjoy, he'll turn into a real rape and hurt me.'

She closes her fist, tight. ‘I don't like being hurt. Ever since I woke up one night when I was
eight as he was drunkenly forcing himself into me… I've hated being hurt.'

The peaceful sounds of the birds and insects reverberate through the clearing…

‘But, something, is telling me to explore.' She looks around. ‘Something did just happen to me,
like magic. Maybe, just maybe, my wish has come true and this is a way out of my life?'

She nods. ‘I've got to chance it. I've been raped by daddy before, and I'll be raped by him again.
But, this . . . this is a once in a lifetime chance, I'm sure.'

She spins away from the well and begins to walk into the forest. ‘Somehow. This feels right.
That looks like the God Tree, let's see . . . '


Kagome sees Inu-yasha stuck on the God Tree. "A boy…" she whispers. Her eyes narrow,
"maybe not with those ears."

She crawls up the tree and plays with Inu-yasha's ears.

Then, men from below, shot arrows at her. "This place is totally off-limits. Are you from a
foreign province?!" they yell!

‘Bows and arrows?!' Kagome thinks. ‘Where am I? I'd better play along until I can find out
more about this place.'

She glances at the peasant warriors, ‘I'm sure, that if I need to escape, I can. The way that they
are looking up at my legs, I'm sure we can come to some sort of deal.'


Later… at the village. Kagome is tied up.

‘I've been tied up tighter by some of the sadist that my father has sold me and mom to.' She
thinks.

‘I have to be in the feudal ages.' She thinks as she looks around. As she watches Keade walk up,
‘she seems to be the leader, well, let's suck up to her, first and see how well that works.' She
nods to herself.


Later… in Keade's hut. She has untied Kagome.

‘She reminds me of my sister,' Keade thinks. ‘But, something is different.'

‘A chamber pot to piss in!' Kagome thinks, ‘And no air conditioning, no TV, nothing. I had
hopes that somehow I'd be some sort of princess in this world, but, no. I'm not.'

She glances at Keade. ‘She's treating me, Ok, but why? She can't be doing this out of the
goodness of her heart. Is she going to sell me to some noble? Or perhaps pass me around to the
men in the village?'

A dead horse crashes through the roof of the hut…

Both rush outside…

Mistress centipede is destroying the village.

"Neither spears or arrows work!" one of the villagers screams at Keade.

"We have to drive it back to the dry well." Keade declares.


"Dry well?" Kagome says hopefully.

"It's in Inu-yasha's forest." Keade explains.

"Which way?" Kagome asks.

"To the east." Keade starts to point.

"Where that light's coming from, I got it." Kagome starts to run from the village. ‘I can use this
as an excuse to run away. I don't care about these peasants. And the village should occupy the
monster.' She thinks.



Kagome begins to run. Mistress centipede chases her.

‘Damn!' Kagome thinks, ‘It's after me!'

Kagome runs into the clearing in front of the God tree. She looks at Inu-yasha, ‘When I touched
him earlier, it felt like he was alive. Maybe?' She crawls up the tree as Mistress centipede
attacks.

She releases Inu-yasha and he destroys Mistress centipede, easily.

(This sequence is pretty much just like it happened in normal stories.)

Keade throws the necklace around his neck. "Kagome! Speak the quietening word!"

"Eh!?"

"Anything's okay! A word that'll quieten Inu-yasha!"

Inu-yasha yells, as he prepares to attack, "I am going to be quietened?!"

Kagome yells, "Sit, boy!"

THUMP!

Inu-yasha lands face first in the ground.

‘I did that!' Kagome thinks.

"Sit, boy!" she smiles as she forces him further into the ground. ‘I'm going to like this.' She
thinks.

Keade points to the jewel of the four souls, "that is yours, child." She looks at Inu-yasha, "And
you might wish to only use that spell when necessary."

Kagome looks at Inu-yasha and looks at Keade. She looks at all the villagers that are around
them, as well. ‘Ok. I've got to follow her orders now, but, if I can get a chance, I'll slip off and
find that old well. I'm pretty sure that if I jump in it, I'll return home.'

She grimaces, ‘Home's not great, but, at least, I know what's happening. Whereas this place,
I've already been kidnaped and threaten a couple of times.'

Later… back at Keade's hut.

After Keade has explained about Kikyo (somewhat) and Inu-yasha. And how the jewel attracts
evil . . .

"Magic, hmm?" Kagome mentions in a small voice. She is rolling the unbroken jewel between
her fingers.

‘I can feel something…' she thinks.

Keade nods, "yes, my child, I can sense that you are beginning to tap into your mystical power."
She pauses, "you must be careful, my child, the jewel is powerful and it will try to have you
abuse its powers, but you must resist those desires and purify the jewel."

"What are its powers?" Kagome breathes. ‘Maybe, it'll be something that I can use to change my
life, my world.' She thinks.

"Right now, it amplifies the person that holds it's powers." Keade replies, "Once you've purified
it. It will, by legend, grant one wish."

"And I'm going to use that wish to change into a full demon." Inu-yasha growls again.

"Sit, boy!" Kagome smiles.

THUMP!

Keade frowns, ‘she is enjoying that… far more than I thought she would. And the jewel… My
sister had it mostly purified before she died. But, now, as I look at it. It seems more corrupted
than when it was first given to her.'

She thinks. ‘I hate to think this, but, should I leave it in her hands? To my mystic senses she
seems….not quite up to the task.'

"If you wish, my child," Keade begins, "I can hold the jewel until you are fully trained?"

Kagome glares at her, holding the jewel tightly. "No" She spits out.

‘If this is magic and if it can grant a wish, there is no way that I'm going to let anybody but me
use it.' She thinks.

Inu-yasha growls at the tone in her voice, which earns him another "sit,boy."

Keade leans back and studies Kagome. ‘My first thought is to take the jewel, but… she's so
similar to my sister, and if I take the jewel from her, that will, in all likelihood, does not be a
good thing, since she'll resent me.' She thinks, ‘I can wait, and if she shows herself to be
unworthy of the jewel, I'll take it from her, then, but, I won't take it from her without a reason.'

Kagome stares into the jewel….

Becoming lost in its beauty….



‘Bitch.' Inu-yasha thinks, ‘that's mine not hers. But she looks so much like Kikyo . . . '

Keade frowns, ‘I can sense her power and the power of the jewel… but what is she doing?'

Inu-yasha grumbles, and leaves the hut.

He chases off the three eyed crow demon. ‘they're already beginning to gather.'


The next morning…. (The scene with the food and the tree . . . does NOT happen, instead . . . )


"I'm going to take a walk, is that permissible?" Kagome asks Keade.

Keade frowns, ‘She was holding and rubbing the jewel most of the night. I don't like her tone,
but, she's got to do something more than that before I take the jewel.'

"Yes, that is fine, Kagome." She replies.

Keade thinks, ‘and that'll give me some time alone, so I can do a divination. So, I can, maybe,
see into the future and if she isn't up the challenge of purifying the jewel, I can take it from her.'


Later…

As Kagome is walking toward the well.

‘I'm free.' She looks around. ‘I don't see the witch, or dog boy, and any of the villagers.' She
smiles. Her hand clenches the jewel tight. ‘I can get home through the well. And, then. And
then, I can do things with the jewel. Last night… It showed me things in my imagination that it
can do.'

Her smiles, twists becoming a thing of ugliness, ‘I want to see the look on daddy's face, when he
understands that I'll not a powerless plaything for him to hurt any more.'

"Girly!" three rough looking thugs dressed in pieces of samurai armor step out behind a large
tree. "Come with us." They point a couple of spears in Kagome's face. "Our boss wants you."

Kagome stands, paralyzed for a second.

"Are you sure about this?" one of them asks, "the boss was acting squirrely this morning."

"Yeah, I'm sure. He said to get the girl with the short kimono." The other points with his spear at
kagome's bare legs.

The first guy nods, "all right. It's just I saw a three eyed crow last night, and I don't like that
omen."

"Girl!" the other man, the one that hasn't said anything yells at Kagome. "Follow us."

Kagome grimaces, she squeezes the jewel, ‘let's see if this works.'

"NO. Drop your weapons." She orders as her hand glows black.

The three men pause and drop their weapons.

"Don't move." Kagome orders. "Don't say a thing."

They stand there, like statues.

‘It works!' Kagome gleefully thinks. ‘I can control them! Let's test it.'

"You!" Kagome points to the one that was pointing the spear at her. "Pull your sword." She
points to the short sword at his waist. "And kill him."

The man slices the other man's throat.

Kagome's eyes widen.

She smiles as she holds up the jewel. ‘I'm not a whore any more.'

She looks at the two remaining thugs and glances around, ‘Do I stay here? The laws of this time
were pretty simple, do I remain here and try to build a life?'

She shakes her head, no. ‘no. I'm not. I'm going home. I'm going to punish daddy. And then . . .
All the other men that hurt and abused me. To the kids at school that refused to be my friend. I'll
get my revenge. Everyone that has hurt me . . . ' She smiles, a horrible ugly gleam shows in her
eyes.

She looks at the two thugs. "What where you going to do with me? You may answer."

"We were going to take you to our boss, witch. Then..." the man pauses.

"Normally, he'd rape you and then he'd allow the rest of the gang to have you." the other man
finishes.

"But, he didn't tell us, why he wanted you. Just to grab you and take you back to him, unharmed.
And to make sure that you had a round jewel on you." the first man finishes.

Kagome slightly nods. She walks up to the two men. "Stand still."

She bends down and picks up the sword of the dead man. "Do you want to know how many
times, I've wanted to kill the bastards that were on top of me?" She growls.

"Mistress!" the first man begins to beg. "I'll follow you . . . " Gurgle . . .

Kagome has shoved the sword into his stomach and twisted it.

She spins and stabs the other man.

She smiles at the three dead bodies. "Daddy." She whispers as a creepy grin forms on her face.
"You will not die so easily, that I promise."

She holds up the bloody sword. She rubs a finger in the blood, then sucks on her bloody finger.
‘Do I take this back with me?' she thinks. ‘No. I know just what I want to do to him . . . ' She
drops the sword and continues to walk to the well.

At the well . . .


Kagome looks around. ‘Good. No one is here.' She steps onto the edge of the well. ‘I wonder
will this well only work for me? Or for anyone?'

She pauses, and frowns, ‘It worked for that centipede demon. And since I have hidden in that
well house before.'

she shivers remembering times when she was younger and still occasionally tried to avoid her
father and the punishments he did when he caught her . . .

‘So, I've got to assume that more people than just me can use it.' She thinks. ‘So? Keade did say
the people would be after the jewel, like those thugs, so I've got to assume that people will try to
go through the well after me'

She stares at the jewel. ‘When I get back home . . . I'm going to see if this can break the well, so
no one else can use it.'

She jumps down the well . . .

The well flashes blue . . .


Elsewhere . . .

"Where the fuck is the bitch!" Inu-yasha growls. HE is sniffing the ground, tracking her.

‘Keade said she went for a walk.' He thinks, ‘Good. I will surprise her. I will jump her, and
cover that damn mouth of hers. And since she can't stop me, I'll take the jewel and wring her
neck.'

He grimaces, ‘Kikyo . . . ' He growls at himself, ‘All right. She reminds me too much of Kikyo
to kill her, but, I'm still going to take the jewel and teach her some lessons about this damn
necklace.' He grabs the necklace and gives it another yank, which, of course, fails to do
anything.

‘Blood?' he thinks.

A few seconds later.

‘She was here. They are dead.' Inu-yasha stares that three dead thugs. ‘No struggle. And a whiff
of power from the jewel.'

He frowns, ‘Kikyo never used it. So, why is she?'

He follows Kagome's path to the well.

HE stares at the empty well. ‘She went down here. I can sense that.' He thinks. ‘And . . . there
is an aura of magic about this well. From listening to her and the old bag last night, I'm sure that
she doesn't live around here.'

He rubs his chin. ‘There are legends about mirrors that send people to different lands, perhaps
this well?'

He jumps down the well.

A flash of blue occurs . . .

Kagome is standing at the top of the well.

She is holding the jewel over it.

The jewel is glowing as its power builds . . .

"Fuck!" Inu-yasha yells. He jumps out of the well, but in his panic, he jumps too high and slams
into the roof of the well house.

He lands, ungracefully away from Kagome.

She turns to him and snarls, "Sit, Boy!"

THUMP!

‘Damn!' she thinks, ‘I was right, anyone can use this thing. I've got to break it, or who knows
what type of monsters will appear.'

"Break this well! Jewel of the Four Souls!" she screams, putting forth all her power and the
jewels power.

The well glows blue . . .

The glow intensifies . . .

Then it fades away . . .

Inu-yasha's ears twitch, ‘A groan from outside? And my senses . . . I thought that there was a
connection to something outside this house . . . ' he thinks.

Kagome slumps down to her hands and knees. ‘I'm drained, totally. Worse than that time when
that college frat party keep me up for two days straight.'

She looks at the jewel. It is, also, obviously almost drained of its power. ‘I... I think it'll
recharge. I hope.'

"Bitch!" Inu-yasha growls as he stands up.

Kagome flicks her eyes to him. "Sit, boy." She says.

THUMP!

"Bitch! I'm going to kill you!" he screams from the floor.

Kagome crawls over to him. "Dog boy. I just destroyed your way home."

Inu-yasha's eyes flick to the well. The magical aura of the well is gone.

"And, I control you. Sit, boy." She smiles. "So, dog boy, what are you going to do?"

He growls.

"If you ever want to get home? If you ever want to get that necklace off? You'd better follow my
orders, right?" Kagome purrs, "And if you don't, sit, boy."

THUMP!

"Gripe! Whore!" Inu-yasha growls.

Kagome slaps him, hard, and twists his ear. "Listen to me dog boy. I am a bitch. But if you call
me a whore again, I'll break your back. Sit,boy!"

"What is happening in here?!" Kagome's mother opens the well house door. "I heard a noise,
like something hitting the roof." She says.

Kagome looks up, "Mom is daddy home?"

"Kagome!" Mrs. H pales. "No, he's not. And he's very angry at you for vanishing. I think that
you have to run away, like Sota did." She begs

Kagome shakes her head, "No mom, running away isn't a good idea. He's got enough friends
with the Yakuza, so sooner or later, they'll find me. Sota wasn't important to him, so he let Sota
go."

She smiles, "besides, mom." She pats Inu-yasha on the head. "I've now got a powerful
watchdog."

Inu-yasha growls.

"IF you don't obey, dog boy, you know what will happen." She whispers. "And, I'm not going to
give you orders you'll dislike."

Kagome looks up at her mother, "when will he be home?"

Mrs. H opens her mouth, than closes it. "Later, probably after dark. He said something about
getting drunk with the boys."

Kagome looks at the jewel, even in the few minutes that have passed, she can feel the power
increase. She looks at Inu-yasha. ‘Between the jewel, sit, boys. And, if necessary, fucking him
to reward him, he'll obey me.'

She looks at her mother. "Tonight mom, when daddy gets home. We're going to party." She
smiles, at the thought of the tortures that she'll put him through.

Mrs. H pales, "Kagome, I know that you've talked about killing him, but his friends. The
Yakuza, ones? They'll get you. And the police?"

Kagome smiles, "Not this time, mom." She pats Inu-yasha's hair. "I've got a friend. And, they'll
love a new enforcer like dog boy here."

She pauses, "As for the police, mom. They know what type of a person he is. All we have to do
is tell them that he left town because he got some Yakuza boss mad at him . . . and they'll never
check to see if he is dead and buried somewhere in the shrine."

‘Plus the power that the jewel gives me to control people will help convince them.' She thinks.

She begins to giggle. ‘I will get my revenge on everyone that's hurt me. I will be rich. I will be
famous.'

She looks at her mother, "Just go back into the house, mom and ignore anything you hear from
here, ok? Dog boy and I will be talking."

Mrs. H nods, and leaves.

"I'm not following your orders." Inu-yasha growls.

"You will." Kagome states. "The jewel can control you. And I can use the necklace."

She smiles at inu-yasha. "But . . . If you do what I ask of you, Inu-yasha." She bats her
eyelashes at him. "I will reward you." She purrs at him.

She shrugs and continues, "And hurting my father and hurting other people is want you do,
right? That is what a demon does? So, why are you complaining?"

He looks at the well. He looks at Kagome. He looks at the jewel. He rubs his necklace. ‘If I don't
go along with her. She'll use that jewel and destroy my mind with it. If I go along with her, then,
sometime in the future she'll screw up. And I get my revenge on her.'

Inu-yasha smiles, his fangs peaking out of his lips, "Exactly what types of reward are you talking
about?" He purrs.

Kagome unbuttons the top button of her shirt, "Oh, about what you'd expect . . . but, after you
capture my father and help me kill him."

Inu-yasha, pauses, he shrugs, "he means nothing to me, so why not."

‘Plus she looks and smells so much like Kikyo . . . I can pretend that she's Kikyo while I fuck
her.' He thinks.


Kagome grins at him. "You'll obey me?"

Inu-yasha nods.

Later . . .

What happens after that?

Kagome kills her father, of course. And like she mentioned, the police didn't really care about
what happened to a known man of low values. His Yakuza, gangster, friends were glad to see
Inu-yasha.

Kagome used her father's black book to connect some of the wealthier clients. And then,
between the jewel, her powers, and the threat of Inu-yasha. She got rich.

One of them is connected to model/TV business. A visit and she was given a screen test. The
camera loved her . . . and Kagome became an instant model superstar.

She can sing, so, she also became a pop-idol singer, making her wealthier and famous.

Now, at the beginning of the story, Kagome is one of the most famous models and singers in
japan. Her fame is spreading to other countries.


Inu-yasha? A hat to hide his ears and sunglasses to hide his eyes work most of the time. And a
story of cosmetic surgery takes care of anyone that asks.

He is known as her personal bodyguard. And he does have a nasty reputation . . .

As to his feelings toward Kagome?

What happened on the other side of the well?

No jewel. No shards.

Miroku is still cursed and still chasing Naraku.

Sango is still a demon exterminator . . .

Miroku and Sango meet and team up to kill the demon painter. (Miroku stumbled across
princess. The princess's family summoned a demon exterminator to help her. Sango went. She
was female.)

The princess's family was properly grateful. (Rewarding Miroku and Sango with money, etc.)

Miroku hires Sango to help him against Naraku. She agrees. (The curse on him, needs to be
ended.)

They have adventures together . . . the "official" reason that they are together changes . . .

They find Naraku. Without the jewel, he doesn't have near the power or resources he has in
regular stories.

After a tough fight . . . Naraku is dead.

Miroku and Sango marry . . .

Sesshomaru?

"Where is my father's grave?"
