The five students that Kagome had held hostage for that breif moment in time, are all safe and well, just like she intended none of them were hurt, but they did live their lives with the guilt and misery of her death.

Inuyasha himself lived on until he was old and gray at fifteen thousand, and sixty-two years old. Therefore after, he joined Kagome in the after life to spend all of eternity by her side. Just as he always intended to do. He never forgot how he wished he would have told her that he truly loved her and alway would no matter what, and he never forgot what she whispered in his ear that day in the feild, when she came for a split second.

"I will wait for you and I was always happy with you my love. I will love you forevermore."
