AN: Ok I'm sorry but are people retard or something? Cause I had someone tell me that Kagome has her own last name (No shit) but after you get married you take on your husband's last name not unless you choose not to for what ever reason (Like my mother) but I swear some people just scrolls down and place a dumb review. At the end it say's "You will be now Kagome HIGURASHI, your MADIEN name" -_-; I get irritated when people over look something obvious. Anyways I only got 3 reviews 1 one of which is dumb, but I wish you guys would give me some more feed back. These new fics of mine are not bad and I'm not saying this as the author.

Inu-yasha watched as her face took in all that Sango explained for the past hour, and the more she understood the more she feared. He had to admit that she was looker, he didn't really take notice at the funeral because well dead people just tend to mess with him, like coming back to get revenge and all that. He stared at her gray blue eyes and found that they went perfectly with her features. "Inu-yasha" stated Sango. "Yeah" he said turning his head towards the woman some of the guys at HQ would call a hard bitch to bang. "Here is the icing on the cake, Inu-yasha you are the officer that will keep Mrs. Kinomoto's safety at hand, from now on you will be Kagome Higurashi your maiden name and your single no longer married," said Sango. Kagome nodded looking at her hands. "Inu-yasha she will move in with you" said Sango. "WHAT?!" both Inu-yasha and Kagome.

"WHAT?!" both Inu-yasha and Kagome. "You can't be serious Miss. Taijiya" said Kagome. "Sango what the hell is your problem?" asked Inu-yasha. "Why can't she stay with me?" asked Miroku. Sango stood with veins popping out of her head. "Will you all be quite!" yelled Sango. They all looked at her. "Miroku she can't stay with you because then she will need another officer to protect her from you! Inu-yasha shut the hell up cause at the moment I'm your damn boss, and Miss Higurashi this is for you own protection!" yelled Sango. "What can't I just stay at one of my husband's condos?" asked Kagome. "Now Miss. Higurashi you seem like a reasonably smart woman, you tell me if someone wanted to kill you, wouldn't they know everything about your husband's property?" asked Sango. "I suppose," said Kagome. "And other then that you are no longer married! You are Kagome Higurashi," stated Sango. "So what are you telling me to do forget that my husband ever existed? That I was never married! I can't do that Miss. Taijiya. I'm not as hard as you and you have no idea what the hell I'm going through right now. I just lost my whole world with in matter of a day!" exclaimed Kagome with tears rush fast out of her. Sango's features soften and she looked at Kagome. "Do forgive me Miss. Higurashi...I mean Mrs. Kinomoto...I suppose that I don't know what your going through at the moment but I should be more understanding" stated Sango. Kagome nodded.
"I don't want to rush things but at the moment you are under our custody and we took a oath to protect innocents. Inu-yasha will take you home now, and you should rest for a while, your still weak from what these charts read" said Sango picking up the doctors charts. Kagome looked away she couldn't believe that her whole life just fell apart as if nothing. She felt like tears where going to spill and make a river for her to drown in. She smiled and shook her head. She would be strong and find out who did it; who hated her so much that they had to take away the only thing that mattered in her life. "Miroku get your lazy ass back to the office we have a lot more work left to do." Said Sango yelling at the man who was staring at Kagome with a wide grin. "Miss. Higurashi I hope you all the luck, though I don't think you need to worry because you have one of my best agents; he may be hard headed and does things without thinking but he is still a good officer" said Sango. Kagome looked towards her lawyer and protector, and for the first time noticed the handsome man. She nodded. "I am sure he is" she said. Sango nodded. "I shall leave you now" said Sango standing and stretching a hand to Kagome and shaking her hand. "Miroku you better get your ass off that chair and follow me" said Sango as she walked towards the door. Miroku took Kagome's hand and kissed. "Was a pleasure to meet you" he said and walked out after giving Inu-yasha a wink.
"What an interesting couple" stated Kagome. "Yeah don't even want to think about the abuse" said Inu-yasha. Kagome didn't know why but she started to laugh. Inu-yasha watched her laugh softly her right hand covering her lips gently as she giggled. Inu-yasha smiled before giving her his hand. "Come on we better get going" he said. She nodded as she gave him her hand. "I'm sorry I know you don't want to do this but" she stood and felt her head give a spin as she found herself fall back. Inu-yasha instinctively grabbed her by her waits and held her against him. Kagome felt a small flutter in her stomach. "I guess your still weak from your shock" said Inu-yasha quietly. Kagome nodded softly. "I guess there is no other way" he said before picking her up. Kagome blushed. "Do you have to?" she asked. "We have to get going now" he said. She nodded as her hands tightened around his neck. "Mr. Takagi?" asked a nurse. "I'm taking her home" he said. "Yes of course just make sure she gets enough rest and she doesn't do anything that will stress her out more then she already is" said the nurse before walking away. Kagome blushed redder each time someone looked towards them, she turned her face towards his chest and covered her face. Inu-yasha felt her breath on his chest going softly through his shirt. He mentally cursed Sango for putting him in a position like the one he was in.
As soon as they neared the car, Inu-yasha put Kagome down in the passenger seat and went around and got into his seat. "Well this is it, Miss. Higurashi; you're on lock down from now until we find your husband's killer and your potential killer" he said. She nodded looking out the window of the car. "I'm sorry" he said softly. "Huh?" she asked turning towards him. "I know how you feel...I lost someone close to me and I know how you feel; but you have to understand that this is for you own good. I don't want you to walk around like you're miserable" he said. Kagome stared at the man sitting next to her. She could tell by the look in his eyes that he indeed knew how she felt some how that made everything seem better. "Thank you" she said looking towards the window once more. "I don't know why, but you empathy means more to me then most that I have gotten in the past two days" she whispered. Inu-yasha nodded and started the car. The whole way to her new life all Kagome could think of was what Inu-yasha had said, something about it seemed to her that he lost a lover, not a mother or a sister. He knew what a loss it was when it was lover who understood your need above all things.
They arrive at a large mansion right near the beach. Kagome looked up and saw the glass shining under the lights. He walked over to her side and picked her up once more. "I...I can walk" she said. "I can't risk that now" he said as he began to walk. She felt the breeze wash over her face so this is what it had come down to. They entered silently she wasn't very surprised to see the beautiful house, for she lived in luxury long enough to know so. "I'll take you to your bedroom" he said. He claimed the stairs and came to halt in front of a oak colored door. "This is your room, my room is right across from yours if anything ever bothers you or you need anything just come and knock" he said. "I don't want to be a burden" she said. "Your not; I have taken an oath and I'm going to keep that oath to protect and do my job" he said as he opened the door and put her down on the bed. "I hope its to your liking" he said flatly. "Yes thank you" she said. "I'll get you something to change into and tomorrow you should have some of your things moved in here" said Inu-yasha. Kagome nodded.
He closed the door and leaned against it, she was hurting he could feel it; smell it. Inu-yasha look his head and walked towards him room to bring her something to wear. Seeing how he hardly had people over other then Sango and Miroku and occasional guests; none of which left any womanly clothing that might fit her. He sighed and pulled out a blue button down shirt and his smallest sweat pants. He headed towards her room. He knocked and when he heard the faint "come in" he wanted inside. "I hope these will fit you" he said handing her the items. "They will due fine thank you very much" she said. He nodded and walked out. Kagome stood up slowly and pulled her dress down and pulled on the shirt. She stood holding the dress in her hand, she felt as if taking it off she was denying who she was. She was slowly becoming something she wished she wasn't yet she wanted to see it through. Inu-yasha given 10 minutes was enough time to change forgot to knock and walked in on a barely dressed Kagome.
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING?!" she yelled. "I'M SORRY I THOUGH YOU WERE ALREADY DRESS!" He said. "YOU KNOCK BEFORE YOU COME IN!" she said. "I'm not use to it ok!" he said. Kagome then blushed and realized that she was still half naked and that this was his house. "Do you mind?" she asked. Inu-yasha slammed the door closed his face flushed. He closed his eyes and her long limbs came in mind along with her nicely shaped breast, which he couldn't see, clearly do to his shirt. "Awe! Damn it! I'm gonna kill Sango!" He said walking down the stair towards where maybe he could find something to drown himself in. Kagome looked down at the floor and almost wanted to faint, she couldn't believe the first night and he already walked in on her. This was going to be a very long stay if not in time wise, in her mind it would be.
