A/N: No I didn't forget about this story, no I wasn't really stuck, I was a bit lazy, and reading too much, working too much, having a family too much. I now read Sess/Kag stories.

 

 

Sengoku Jidai

 

He couldn't fucking believe it. She had done it. This girl had just killed Yura!

 

~*~*~*~*~ Flashback ~*~*~*~*~

 

Inuyasha and Kagome exited from the well; Kagome was able to see that Yura's hairs blanket the area.

 

“Which way do we go?” Inuyasha asked Kagome as he knelt down in front of her. Kagome looked around the clearing for the hair that seemed to control the others.

 

As Kagome was climbing onto his back, she saw a single strand move, “There it is Inuyasha to the left.”

 

Quickly they were miles from the well; Kagome could not believe how far they had traveled. The hair was becoming more concentrated the closer to Yura's hiding place.

They came across a campsite of warriors that had lost their heads to Yura's hair. Kagome quickly grabbed up a dropped bow and quiver of arrows before Inuyasha started off again.

 

“Watch out, Inuyasha! To the left!” Strands of hair came flying at them. Kagome continued to give Inuyasha directions.

 

“Aggghhhh!!!” Kagome was knocked from Inuyasha's back as he was tied up with the hair.

 

Kagome looked up and saw the most disgusting hairball she had ever seen. `That is Yura's home?' she thought to herself.

 

“My my look at the little puppy I have caught and all that beautiful silver hair.” Yura said as she came towards Inuyasha.

 

“Puppy? I'll show you puppy, you fucking bitch!” yelled Inuyasha.

 

As Yura tried to get closer to Inuyasha, her path was destroyed by one of the arrows that Kagome had tried to shoot at the hairball. The next arrow flew close to Inuyasha's legs.

“Gaha! Bitch what are you trying to do kill me?” Inuyasha shouted at Kagome moments before he fell towards the ground as her arrow hit home and started dropping skulls out of the hairball.

 

“My babies!” screeched Yura.

 

“Losing some of your precious hair huh?” remarked Inuyasha with a smirk.

 

“I'll just have to replace with yours! Girl! This is your fault! I hope you like this!” yelled Yura as she threw strands of hair on fire at Kagome. Inuyasha felt his heart fall into his stomach as the flames engulfed Kagome and she screamed.

 

Drawing his eyes away from the sight he snarled at Yura, “You'll pay for that!”

 

Inuyasha began to fight in earnest. He sliced off her hand, plunged his arm through her chest, but nothing fazed her. `Shit I have to find her weakness' Inuyasha thought to himself as he lay on the ground panting, he had been stabbed by her sword several times too.

 

Watching Yura he noticed her eyes suddenly widened and spun around. There was Kagome climbing the nest of hair.

 

“Kagome!” Inuyasha yelled as Yura grabbed her by the arms wrapping her hair around them.

 

“How could it be? You should be dead. The fire, cutting off your arms, but that did not happen. What are you? Anyway I'll have your head!”

 

As a hair of Yura's began to tighten around Kagome's throat Inuyasha jumped for them and removed Yura other hand which again had her attention on him. Kagome jumped up and ran for what she had seen earlier. A skull that was different if she destroyed it maybe...

 

Kagome grabbed and arrow and slammed it into the top of the skull. The skull broke and there was a comb, Yura came to attack her again. Kagome brought down the arrow again glowing brightly and the comb crumbled to pieces. While Yura burst into dust.

`Well fuck!' thought Inuyasha he could not believe that she had done it. He looked at her covered in his fire rat and breathing hard. He watched as her breasts rose and fell, she smiled so brightly at him and he felt his heart started to swell as well as his groin. He did not think he had ever seen anything as beautiful as her in that moment. The exertion had increased her scent and the wind was gently bringing it to him. He felt like he was going to explode if he did not do something soon. Now that the battle lust had ended, another kind of lust was overtaking his blood.

 

“Let's go, Kagome.” He said trying to cool down his blood, as he watched straighten from picking up the shard. She was again smiling that bright smile at him, “What?”

 

“You called me Kagome and you did it earlier. Are we starting to become friends?” she asked. She was reaching out her hand to touch him.

 

He could let her touch him if she did he knew he would just shatter as heated as his blood was, “Keh, why would I be friends with a DUMB GIRL!” He shouted when he was actually thinking he wanted to fuck her senseless in that moment and turning around.

 

That was the worst thing he could have done she hit him on the back; he jerked at her touch, then released a howl and fell to the ground.

 

“I just saved your life!” she shouted back and reached out to hit him, then watched him fall. “You know you could have said something about being in that much pain.”

 

“Shut up” he growled at her as he lay flat on the ground, at least his blood was free of all lust but it would take 15 minutes for his fire rat pants to clean themselves. He would just let her think that it was pain keeping him from getting up.

 

~*~*~*~*~ An couple of hours later~*~*~*~*~

 

Inuyasha and Kagome where walking through the forest. He had let he think that he could carry right now was do the injuries he received from Yura. When in fact he was afraid that his blood would start to heat up again. He did not want to tell her he was almost healed.

 

“Inuyasha? Where are we going? I can tell we aren't going the same way we came.” Kagome questioned him after following for what seemed like forever.

 

“We're going to get Kaede-babaa” Inuyasha replied stuffing his hands farther up his sleeves so he would not be tempted to touch her.

 

“Kaede? Where is she? Why isn't she in the village?”

 

“Yura attacked the village, and used one of the villagers to attack Kaede-babaa because she could see the hairs. We will get there in by nightfall and make camp, then by nightfall the next night we will be back at the village.” Inuyasha answered her.

 

“Two days? Where is she?” Kagome asked freaking out a little at having to camp without any supplies.

 

“Keh, several more miles from here is where I buried her.”

 

“BURIED HER?!?!”

“She isn't dead, it was to keep her safe and warm until we could go and get her.” Inuyasha said defending his reason to bury Kaede.

 

After a couple of more hours dusk was starting to fall and Inuyasha came to stop his ears twitching all around. Kagome listened very carefully and could barely make out the soft snores of the old miko. Inuyasha walked to a pile of leaves and started brushing them away.

 

“I see ye didn't forget me, Inuyasha. Did ye defeat Yura of the hair?” Kaede questioned him.

 

“Keh, she did” tossing his head back to gesture towards Kagome. As he helped Kaede from the hole, he had placed her. “Wench, get a fire started, there is a stream over there and I'll get some fish.” He said as he bounded away.

 

“Start a fire? What does he think I am a fire youkai? Did he just call me `wench' again?” Kagome muttered to herself as she looked around.

 

“Come child, I have some flint ye can use to start thee a fire.” Kaede said pulling out a pouch from her pocket.

 

Kagome then saw that she was injured, “Kaede! You're going to have to let me look at that shoulder.”

 

“Aye, child but first the fire.”

 

By the time Kagome had gotten the fire started, Inuyasha dropped from a tree holding three trout, “Inuyasha, you clean those fish and start cooking them, then cut me some vines about this big,” gesturing a size a three feet and smiling big, “Please? I'm going to get Kaede cleaned up at that stream and use the vines to make a sling for her arm.”

 

“Keh.” Was about all he could say before the two mikos walked off.
