Leave me be
I don't own Inuyasha and co.
1: Taken
Once again the group composed of an inu hanyou, a miko, a monk, a taiji, a neko, and a kitsune kit, beg the suppose leader of the group for a break. "Please Inuyasha, we've been walking all day. Can' t we set up camp?" Each in turn knowing full well what the hanyou will say.
"Feh, why should we, it's been two weeks and we haven't even came close to a jewel shard!" Inuyasha folds his arm in a childish manner. The miko knows all too well that there little escapade hasn't gone too well. For the past few weeks they have been attacked by demons seeking to enhance there power with the jewel shards Kagome possessed. Each that they encountered were more eager to obtain the jewel, and more stupid with blind rage.
"Inuyasha," The monk begins trying to persuade the reluctant demon to stop," we all know that we haven't had much luck on our hunt, but as you can clearly see, we all are in need of a rest. We would be in better shape if we continue our search tomorrow morning." Keeping a calm expression not showing any more weakness than what is already present.
"Oh don't bother Miroku, there's only one way to make him stop." The monk Miroku looks towards the taiji with nervous eyes, who turns to look at the miko holding an exhausted kitsune kit in her arms. Walking towards the taiji, Miroku looks pleadingly to her and whispers, "But my dear Sango, do you wish to fall asleep with a pain in your lovely head? Having Kagome 'sit' Inuyasha will only anger him more."
Looking at Miroku with a 'I-don't-care-I-just-want-to-stop' look. He sighs in defeat.
Both Miroku and Songo look towards the miko Kagome. She knows what they want, but she's not going to like it. Mouthing 'Ok, I'll go try again.' Walking until she's right next to Inuyasha she asks, "Inuyasha, the sun's about to set, how about we set up camp at the nearest spring?" She didn't want to have to 'sit' him, it would just irritate the whole group.
Seeing Inuyasha actually think about his options he agrees. "Fine Kagome, we'll set up camp. But only when we see a clearing!" Smiling at Inuyasha, Kagome nods and keeps pace with Inuyasha, hearing something about weak humans.
"Did Kagome really make Inuyasha agree without having to 'sit' him?" Sango looks at Miroku for confirmation, only to have her 'Sango senses' tingle. "Hentai!" Slapping Miroku for having his hand go where it's not wanted.
"Please forgive me Lady Sango, my hand has a mind its own!" Running with renewed strength the two run, one after, the other, away from.
"Oh please Miroku like I haven't heard that from you!" Grabbing her hiraikotsu and letting it fly. Miroku jumps away from the charging weapon to have it land a few feet from his position.
"Enough you two! We set up camp here." After chewing out the two for disturbing the peace, Inuyasha jumps up into a tree.
Kagome sets down her overly stuffed pack and stretches her aching muscles. "Kagome?" Rubbing the sleep from his eyes Shippo looks at his sargent mother for his disturbed sleep. "Have we stopped?"
"Yes Shippo, have a nice nap?" Placing Shippo on the floor to open her pack to set up camp. Nodding his head he goes towards Sango with the unasked question of playing with Kirara, the fire neko.
Sango puts Kirara on the floor so that they can loose the energy they gained by sleeping. "Kagome, would you like some help with the cooking?" Walking over and kneeling down to face her friend trying to make the fire.
"Sure Sango, mind making the fire while I get some water?" Smiling as a quick agreement, Kagome grabs a large canteen to fill with water.
Walking to the stream humming a song she heard on the radio, she kneels, and does what she came here to do, get water. Filling her canteen to the brim she begins her walk back, only to be snatched from behind by an unknown foe.
