5: Getting ready
With Inuyasha's first swipe, a hundred lower class demons vanished in ash. Miroku has been using his staff at any demon he came close to. didn't think it would be this hard without the girls.' Inuyasha throws back a raging demon that had him at a stale mate with the Tetsaiga. Jumping in the air Inuyasha searches for Miroku. Seeing him at too close a distance to use the Kaze no kizu. After touching ground, Inuyasha sheaths the Tetsaiga for a more natural approach. Using his claws to rip any on coming demon to shreds.
Miroku has been doing pretty good at matching wits to strength. At every failed attempt to hit him, Miroku strikes with his staff and throws ofudas and chants incantation spells. Being grabbed from behind Miroku struggles to get free.
Inuyasha, seeing Miroku struggle, rushes behind the demon and slashes at his back. The demon roars in pain, letting go of Miroku, and going for Inuyasha. Turning his back to his first opponent, Miroku throws an ofuda and holy powers take effect. The demon falls, "Call it even?" Smirking, Inuyasha goes twords the remaining demons.
Sango has been pushing Kirara to her limits, trying to get back to camp quickly. As they made it to the last stretch of forest, Shippo smells blood. "Sango! There's blood in the air! You don't think Inuyasha and Miroku are hurt do you?" Shippo tightens his grip on Songos cloths. Fearing to find the guys injured, or worse. Shaking his head of bad images, roars and skreeches are heard. Then dead silence. In no time flat, Kirara stops with a on slot of dust.
"Inuyasha, Miroku what happened?" After the dust settles, a graveyard of mangled limbs and blood are splattered everywhere. Seeing that both men are out of breath, with no serious injuries she asks, "Someone care to tell me what's going on?" falls to the ground laughing tiredly. Outstretched hands, Miroku says, "Damn that was fun." Inuyasha can't help but laugh at Mirokus exhausted smile. He had to agree, fighting with only them two felt different. Two men, back to back, fighting an army of low level demons, it has its points of being funny.
"This is no laughing matter you two! Kagome is missing!" As soon as Songo yelled out her protest, Inuyasha is in front of her.
"What do you mean?" The mens happy mood crushed to hear that a friend is missing.
"Kagome wasn't at the river bed. I don't know where she went. I kept calling her but she didn't answer, then Shippo found this." Showing the cantin to Inuyasha, he growls.
Going over to pick up Kagome's forgotten bag he says, "Show me where she was."
Kagome has been wondering around her room. She wasn't tired yet, and she felt dirty. Deciding to take a bath Kagome enters a in door spring connecting to her bedroom. Seeing a room with a wall covering the hot spring. Going over to the spring, Kagome is at ease at the steam coming from the pool. Smiling Kagome exits to strips from her school uniform getting a towel and wrapping it around herself Kagome enters the pool room, discards her towel and enters the soothing waters. "If only all my baths could be this relaxing." Settling herself deeper into the water, Kagome lets all her aching muscles calm. After what seemed like a good time to get out before she prunes up, she stretches to bring life back to her calm self. Going over to her towel, she wraps it around her a goes to change. Looking to where her uniform once laid, Kagome sees a silky red sleeping kimono. Running her fingers through the soft material, Kagome changes into it.
"I see the kimono fits you well Lady Kagome." Kagome turns to see the healer from before.
"Yamori, did you bring me these cloths?" Yamori smiles and nods.
"As a servant, I am to make sure that you have everything you need."
"Well where are my other cloths?" Straightening out her kimono of wrinkles, Kagome sits where her kimono was found.
"I took them. Lord Sesshoumaru ordered them to be burned." Seeing Kagomes face twist in 'are-you-kidding-me!' "He says that anyone staying under his watch is to look decent. The clothing you have were too disrespectful. They show too much skin for a young woman. I had the dresser in your room filled with kimonos for you to wear during your stay at the castle." Bowing Yamori leaves.
'I can't believe this, he had my cloths burned! What am I going to tell Mama!' Dropping her head, Kagome goes over to her room. Closing the door behind her, she falls onto her bed. Pulling the covers over her head, Kagome falls asleep.
Kagome wakes up to the sun shining in her eyes. Blinking a few times, Kagome gets up. Yawning and rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she sees on her night stand, her breakfast. At seeing the food, Kagomes stomach growls. 'Well, the group didn't get to eat last night.' Kagome stiffens, 'Uh-oh, I forgot all about them! I bet there worried sick about me, I can't believe I forgot about them so quickly.' Kagome looks to her breakfast, fruit. 'At least I know its edible.' Getting an apple Kagome goes over to her dresser. Oppening the door to find beautiful kimonos hanging. Every one going from light to dark colors. Kagomes eyes sparkle. 'So many to choose from.' Quickly choosing a red kimono <I love the color red!> Kagome puts it on her bed.
Beginning to take off her night kimono the door opens, "Hurry and change, we leave in a few minutes."
Growing a deep red, Kagome turns her head to the right and sees a calmed face Sesshoumaru staring at her. Turning to face the other way Kagome tries to calm her beating heart. Not hearing that he left Kagome gets a little angry, trying not to be disrespectful she says, "I can't change with you staring Sesshoumaru!"
"This Sesshoumaru does not stare, change so that we may be on our way. Rin has already been taken care of." Turning, Sesshoumaru leaves the room. Closing the door behind him, he can hear a deep releasing of breath. Smirking to himself, he walks towards the main hall.
Kagome, not wanting to have that happen again changes in record time. 'I can't believe he almost saw get undressed! Stupid dog, I can't even 'sit' him like I can Inuyasha.' Smiling at the thought of Sesshoumaru face planted to the ground Kagome laughs. She leaves her room with her happy face once again. A different servant is here then Yamori, she bows and walks her to where Sesshoumaru is waiting.
Sesshoumaru has been patient, waiting for the girl to hurry up, while she was still asleep Sesshoumaru had ordered that Jaken take care of the castle while he is gone. He doesn't like to admit it, but someone like Jaken is hard to come by. There aren't many servants who are as loyal as that toad Jaken. Hearing feet pat there way towards him, he turns around and sees Kagome. Her kimono showing the perfection of her bodily curves. Sesshoumaru's face stays calm, but his eyes are shocked.
Kagome turns to see Sesshoumaru staring at her again. Eyes meeting eyes Kagome sees Sesshoumaru's eyes relax. Blue meets gold, they stay that way untill they hear a squeaky voice calling. "Lord Sesshoumaru." Tripping on his staff Jaken falls face first at Sesshoumarus feet. "My lord, please will you not reconsider allowing this lowly Jaken to accompany you on your errand?"
Wanting to growl, kill, and thank him for his stupidity, Sesshoumaru does what he always does. He kicks him. "You will stay and watch over things Jaken. Do not disappoint me." Turning to walk out the door, he hears Kagome follow. 'At least he kept me from staring at her any longer.'

I'm begging to get nervouse about getting on the plane again. I'll be on the plane from Corpus Christy Texas, to Houston, Texas, then to Baltimore, Washington for 6 hours. Then it'll be another 2 hours driving to get to my moms house. Wish me luck. I'll have the next chapter on Monday promise.
