Chapter 18: Meeting

With Kagome
Drips were heard falling from the ceiling. Kagome opened her eyes slowly, trying to focus on her surroundings.
Kagome has been sitting up, hands chained above her head, to prevent her from moving. Lifting her head, she looks to a streak of light coming from an opening at the bottom of the cell door.
"You don't really wish to keep her here do you Naraku? She will only become a burden before too long." A voice, familiar, but can't put a face on it.
Kagome tries to shake her head to clear the fog and the buzzing. Her fog remains the same, but the buzzing becomes louder. It is from outside of her head. Turning to her left, Kagome sees one on Naraku's poisonous insects, watching, waiting for her to make some sort of movement.
"Do not think that you can try and change my mind, Kikyo, the girl will remain here until an effective way to dispose of her is arranged, I want her to feel the pain she has caused me."
"Then why not let me kill her? She would be better off dead then alive."
"I do not want the girl to die quickly. She will die by my hands and no one else."
Who are they talking about. Do they mean me? They can't, Naraku, Kikyo, they are.... who are they. Why can't I form their faces? Kagome tries to lift her body and to ease the pain in her arms. A jingle is emitted from the chains movements.
"She awakens, go and see to her Kikyo. I do not wish to deal with her now." A door is heard opening and closing, footsteps leaving.
Kikyo mutters under her breath. Opening the door to Kagome's prison, Kikyo lights a candle, illuminating the room.
Kagome squints her eyes and turns away. The insect flies behind Kikyo, buzzing loudly as it passes Kagome's face.
"Why is it that no one seems to be able to kill you slow enough? Every merciless thought seems not to be enough to end your life painfully enough." Glaring hatred to the one she sees as an reincarnate, Kikyo, out of hatred, notches an arrow and points it to Kagome's heart.
Kagome turns and stares calmly at Kikyo. Her legs give in and she falls to her legs, arms hanging lifelessly above her. In barley an audible whisper, "Kikyo... why is it you can't seem to leave hatred. I remember you now," Looking up to see her face, " you wish to have what you can't get. You want Inuyasha, someone you lost, you want my soul, something you cannot have. And you want love, something you cannot feel."
Kikyo drops her bow and back hands Kagome's cheek. "There is nothing I cannot get! It is you who cannot seem to understand. I did not loose Inuyasha. It is MY soul. And as for love, it is nothing but a passing trend." Cheeks burning with anger, Kikyo takes a step back to keep herself from attacking the defenseless Kagome.
Kagome laughs so quietly. Turns to stare at Kikyo, once again, blood flows from a busted lip, and still, Kagome is unfazed by Kikyo's assault, and all she says is, "We will see."

"Inuyasha have you decided what you are going to do?" Sango asks from Inuyasha's left.
"Yes, Inuyasha, what are your plans for taking back Kagome. Are you just going to give up the Tetsuaiga?" Miroku asks turning to see the face of his friend.
"Of course I have! I'm going to break into the castle, kill Sesshoumaru, get Kagome and Shippo, and come back without a scratch." Inuyasha says while puffing up his chest with pride.
Both look disbelieving at the egotistical hanyou. "So you haven't thought of anything." Miroku sighs and hits his hand over his eyes.
"What do you think I just said monk?!"
"So you are going to give up the Tetsuaiga!?" Sango asks shocked.
"I didn't say that! Besides, if I give the sword to Sesshoumaru, Kagome is in danger with me. If I leave Kagome with Sesshoumaru, they're in danger with him." Inuyasha says while folding his arms in front of his chest.
"Wow he really did think about this!" Sango says wide eyed at the hanyou.

Sesshoumaru
Sesshoumaru has been in his room punching walls and breaking furniture. After what had happened in Kagome's room, he nearly went into a demon rage. If it were not for Rin and Shippo, he would have gone and ran after Kagome.
Memories
Before Naraku had jumped out the window, he sprayed out his miasma, temporarily blinding Sesshoumaru's senses.
Sesshoumaru began to cough and ran towards the window, only to find trees and sky. His eyes started to glisten over, gold becoming red. No one steels from me! No one takes what is Sesshoumaru's! He yelled to himself.
He would have ran straight to her if it wan't for Rin and Shippo entering the room.
"Sesshoumaru what happened? Where is Kagome?" A worried Rin asks.
The room still has a little miasma remaining, Shippo began to sneeze, his senses not being as keen as an inu's.
Sesshoumaru took a few deep calming breaths to try and regain himself, but the urge to kill something stayed with him.
"Rin, you and Shippo go and find Jaken. Do not leave his sights do you understand?" He doesn't bother to look down at the two, he steps out of the room and into his.
End memories
It is not wise to go into battle with rage. It make one sluggish and does not think clearly.
After Sesshoumaru was done killing furniture, he was to make his journey, if not for one detail.
"Sesshoumaru!"
Inuyasha has come of all time. Now he appears. Growling to himself, Sesshoumaru gracefully walks out of his castle doors and greets his brother with his presence.
"I do not have time for you Inuyasha. Remove yourself from my lands before I do it myself."
"Like I would! Give me back Kagome and Shippo!" He demands while unsheathing the Tetsuaiga.
Sniffing the air, Inuyasha smells Naraku. "What the hell is Naraku's sent doing here!? Don't tell me your both working together!"
"Do not believe that I would join with one such as Naraku." He begins to feel agitated. The more time he spend bickering with Inuyasha, the more time Naraku has with Kagome. That is not what is needed at the moment. 'I cannot allow Inuyasha to know what took place here.' Sesshoumaru takes slight glances towards the direction the wind shifts, he can smell Naraku.
Without hesitation, he runs at lightning speed to where his senses take him.
Inuyasha doesn't realize what happened and takes a second to notice his brothers absence. "What the hell!" Screaming he sheaths his sword, and to hear Shippo.
"Inuyasha!" The group turn to see Shippo at the third story window. "Inuyasha, Naraku took Kagome!"
Inuyasha gets angry, his fists clench at his side. "Shippo, stay here! We'll come back after we rescue Kagome." He runs at full speed, down the same path as Sesshoumaru.
Kirara transforms into her larger form, and both Miroku and Sango try and catch up to the speedy demons.
Shippo looks at his friends retreating forms in disbelief. 'I can't believe they want me to stay here!' He scrunches his face to look as mad as possible.
"Brat get off of that window this instant." Jaken says while trying to nock Shippo off with his staff.
'Then again this could be fun.' He smiles wickedly at the unsuspecting toad.
Kagome
'How long have I been here?' She asks herself.
Kikyo walks closer to Kagome. "Get up girl. There almost here." Grabbing her arms none to gently, Kikyo unlocks the chains only to wrap both hands in rope. Dragging Kagome to the back of Naraku's palace.
Too tired to struggle, Kagome lets herself be dragged. 'What's wrong with me? Why do I feel so tired?'
Kagome is lead to a steep cliff side. Naraku is there, looking to see what it is Kikyo has in mind with small torture of not just Kagome but of the two brothers.

A/N: Ok, my computer had froze while I was writing this chapter and of the few pages I had written, only two were saved. Y-Y So sad. I had to rely on memory for a page of it, it wasn't a lot, but it was better the first time. From what it seems, all thought on an Inu/San left my head. Looks like it'll have to wait for those who wanted one. I'm sorry. Ok review and thank you's:
