Chapter 19: The Switch

"Sesshoumaru get back here!" Inuyasha has been tailing his brother for half an hour, seething because no matter how fast he is Sesshoumaru is faster still.
Not slowing down, Sesshoumaru jumps over a cliff ledge, landing on the other side. Running quicker, he abruptly skids to a stop. Dust settles while Sesshoumaru looks at what would appear to be nothing.
Inuyasha, not expecting the sudden stop, runs into an invisible barrier, glowing and waves carry it over the magic. He falls to his rear, glaring at his brother. "You could have warned me!" Getting up and dusting himself off, he follows Sesshoumaru's inspection of the barrier.
Sesshoumaru places his palm close to the barrier, not quite touching it. Walking slower, he stops, studies it once more, and puts up both hands. Using his youki, sparks fly from the barrier, and it disappears.
"Feh, I could have done that." Crossing his arms over his chest, Inuyasha walks after Sesshoumaru. "Was this one of Naraku's barriers?" Not hearing a response, he takes that as a yes.
"Inuyasha!" Said person looks up to see Miroku and Sango flying on a fully transformed Kirara.
"Took you long enough!" Landing they all look to Sesshoumaru for lead, at least Sango and Miroku.
"Refrain from yelling this point on, Naraku will be listening."

Kagome is dangling from the cliff side, hovering three feet from the floor.
"What did you have in mind Kikyo? Let her rot alone?" Naraku is still skeptical with allowing Kikyo to formulate a plan. She is both untrustworthy and brilliant. Not that he would actually tell her of course. She would begin to gloat.
Chanting a spell under her breath, wind forms around both girls, wind picking up there hair, once a thick wind surrounds both, it dissipates, and left is the mirror image of there enemy.
Kikyo stands as Kagome. Kagome dangles as a lifeless Kikyo.
Naraku stands shocked and excited that the image of the wemon, are perfect, not a single flaw in the appearance and wear. "There almost here, what are you purpose to do Kikyo? Or, shall I say Kagome?" Smiling wickedly, he walks over to the Kagome-Kikyo.
(Ok for those who may be comfused, Kagome-Kikyo is the actual Kikyo, while the Kikyo-Kagome will be the actual Kagome. ^-^)
"Do as you please, once the brothers are here, but first, have the girl drink this, we need her to be conscious." Tossing him a bottle, Naraku catches it in one swipe of his hand.
Going over to Kikyo-Kagome, Naraku lifts himself up by his tentacles, tipping back her head, he pours a small amount down her throat, massaging it to allow passage. "What was in the potion you gave her?" Lowering himself, he tosses the remaining liquid to its keeper.
Catching it, Kagome-Kikyo puts the remains into Kagome's kimono. "It was a simple paralyzes potion. Now.. attack me Naraku, do not hold back."

"Why is it that your even here dearest older brother?" Inuyasha asks sarcastically. "There is no reason for you to come, why are you even chasing after Kagome?" The group has been careful in tracking the whereabouts of Naraku, making sure to be as stealth full as possible. Minus the talking.
"Because beloved half ling, Naraku trespassed on my land, Kagome was under my care, he threatened the well being of my ward, and I do not posses the Tetsuaiga." Making sure not to show any anger at all that has happened.
"Well you can forget about getting Kagome, we're here to take her back, once Naraku is good and dead it'll be your turn." Turning his head up in a cocky manner, Inuyasha smiles at the picture in his head, him killing his brother while Kagome runs to him with hearts in her eyes. (Think of a cheaply made cartoon colored in crayons and everyone is chibi sized. ^_~)
Resisting the urge to role his eyes, Sesshoumaru would have continued if not for the silent screams he can hear up ahead. Inuyasha hears the same thing and both brothers are off running to the rescue.
The brothers make it to the clearing to see the Kagome-Kikyo being slapped around by Naraku. Bruised and bloody, Kagome-Kikyo stands and falls to her stomach.
"Kagome!" Inuyasha runs to the fallen girl, but Naraku grabs her with a tentacle.
Upon hearing her name Kikyo-Kagome looks up to see both brothers. Trying to call for them, but her throat is soar, Kikyo-Kagome looks over to see herself being carried by Naraku. Shocked she looks down at herself, seeing the miko garbs that Kikyo normally wore when she is seen. 'No.. What is this? Why do I look like this?'
Turning to all sides for an answer, again her name is called, but by Sesshoumaru.
"Kagome! Do not move and injure yourself further!" Reason being, Kagome-Kikyo was wrestling with the hold Naraku has on her.
"Greetings to you both. Inuyasha. Lord Sesshoumaru." He addresses each with a nod, aggravating Sesshoumaru for addressing him after.
"Give me back Kagome, Naraku! I may just let you die quick." Inuyasha says while bringing in his trusty sword.
"I'm grateful for the guarantee, but I really must decline, for you see, I have a dept to repay to both the mikos." Naraku turns his head to the direction of the cliff.
Inuyasha turns his head, and Sesshoumaru glances with his eyes.
'Something doesn't feel right.' Sesshoumaru looks fully back at Kagome-Kikyo.
'Kagome looks too calm, like she knows something we don't.'
"Kikyo! Naraku you bastard! Let them go!" Inuyasha is torn between saving Kagome and/or Kikyo. His head turns quickly back and forth to the hopeful eyes of the Kikyo-Kagome, to the indifferent eyes of the Kagome-Kikyo.
Inuyasha turns his head to fast to realize that the Kikyo he sees shows emotion, while the Kagome has nothing.
Sesshoumaru is not to quick to jump to conclusions, something was wrong, he could feel it.
Inuyasha's head was spinning, for not knowing what to do, and from the fact that he was dizzy from turning so quickly back and forth from the girls.
"Inuyasha, something is wrong, do not think that the Kagome, Naraku holds is acting strangely?" Sesshoumaru whispers so only his brother can hear him.
Equally quiet, surprisingly, "What the hell are you talking about? That is Kagome look at her!"
"Exactly, something is not rig.."
"Why do you even care anyways?! If you hadn't taken Kagome none of this would have happened!" Inuyasha accuses his brother.
'Why do I care?' Sesshoumaru asks himself. 'Because I feel in debt to Kagome? Possibly. It has to be.' "That is none of your concern Brother!" He spat.
"As much as I like watching you two argue, I have other important matters to attend to, so this will be quick." Keeping the Kagome-Kikyo close to himself, Naraku intends to attack, but a bite from his side stops him.
Kirara once again in full form, has attatched her fangs into Naraku's back side. Growling a warning, Kirara uses her fire to burn the skin around her mouth.
Grabbing her with one of his tentacles, Naraku hurls the neko into a tree, along with part of his body still inside the cats jaws.
Sango and Miroku came from the other end of the clearing, charging, attacking any enemy getting to close.
Seeing as the group is getting bigger, Naraku calls for his minions. His insects swarm around the battle field, hundreds of lesser youkai are called from the earths surface, prepared for their masters command.
(I am Naraku and I'm your master, you'll follow me as I spread disaster. Take over the world do as I say, I'll say the word and you'll obey! @_@ I'm sorry I had to write that ^-^;)
Kagome felt she needs to say something, even if it was only a whisper, Inuyasha or Sesshoumaru would hear her.
"Please! Don't be fooled, something happened, that isn't me!" Kagome says, so quiet that it was only wind to the youlai.

A/N: Ok... Well it is a little late but at least its still the weekend! ^-^ The battle will officially begin next chapter. I have a major headache right now, my mom is yelling from the Cowboys on tv. I HATE football with a passion! Now for the reviews and Thank you's :
