Chapter: 4

Inuyasha explained to Kagome what his father wanted him to do. As they walked along the road she looked to be deep in thought. "What is it?" she stoped walking and looked up to him. "It's just … I know how my father feels about your dad and I don't know how he will react once he finds out you're his son. I'm not sure if he would let me be with you."

Suddenly inuyasha put his arms around Kagome in a crushing hold. "Your mine Kagome you have been mine from the moment we met know one will tear us apart!"

^^ Flash back ^^

A 12-year-old Miroku took inuyasha out for his first hunt. His father thought it was time for inuyasha to learn how to take care of himself. First time hunts can take anywhere from a few days to weeks, but inuyasha was determined to be back fast. (He likes to show off.) Miroku was going along to make sure inuyasha stayed clear of the exterminator's village, by direct order of Mamoru. But this is inuyasha we are talking about.

Some how inuyasha evaded Miroku. Inuyasha felt as he was being drawn to the area. The sent in the air compelled him to find its owner. Inuyasha followed his nose and it led him to a beautiful field. As he entered the field he saw the most beautiful blue flower and plucked it from the ground. As he stood back up he noticed a young girl picking flowers. {Beautiful} he thought as he approached her.

"Hi my name is inuyasha." He handed her the flower and noticed how it brought out her lovely eyes. "My name is Kagome." She smiled and excepted his flower.

Inuyasha wanted to reassure her everything would be ok. "Hey don't worry I'm not even supposed to tell him that I'm the son of Mamoru great lord of the western lands. I'm supposed to be a general seeking aid." He said in a mocking voice. "Well I guess that's good … I never did know why father hates your dad so much."

Inuyasha then lifted his hand to her cheek and looked deep in her eyes. With the most seductive voice. "Who cares." And leaned in for a deep kiss.

"So are we ready to go yet?" Miroku called coming back down the road with the girl he dragged off in the first place. Inuyasha began to growl and Miroku simply laughed at his cousin's annoyance with him.

"Now Miroku its not nice to tease." Sango said wile trying to hold in her own laughter. When it looked like inuyasha was about to do so serious bodily harm Kagome stepped in. "don't you think we should be heading in to the village after all you guys are here on official business." She smiled up at inuyasha and dragged him off.

AT THE EXTERMANATERS VILLAGE:

The people of the village watched as Sango and Kagome escorted Miroku and inuyasha to the village leader. The looks they gave put inuyasha on alert and he began to growl low and threatening. Miroku put a hand to his back then shook his head at him once he had his attention.

The girls lead them into a rather large hut at the end of the village. Tasuki Hotohoris older brother and Sangos father is leader of the village. Since Miroku had a way with words he did all the talking and explained the situation.

Tasuki listened to Miroku then looked to his brother knowing why he was so agitated but wanting to do the right thing. "Brother Naraku is a terrible demon, we must do what we can to help." Hotohori who never let his eyes stray from Miroku and inuyasha asked. "Why did lord Mamoru not send his son?"

Hotohori was curious. {Why didn't he send his son knowing that if our children met then keades vision would be for filled.} "Our lords sons are doing their part against the war with Naraku." Miroku answered. "Besides we know you and our lord have some differences so he thought it best to send us."

"Naraku is not your enemy alone so we will aid in the fight against him." Tasuki had made up his mind. "My lord if you permit it my companion and I would like to stay and help in training your fighters."

Hotohori took offence in that. "We are experienced demon exterminators we need no help from you!" Miroku heard the growl that was beginning to erupt from inuyasha and quickly tried to calm the situation. "We mean no offence it is just that we have been up against Narakus forces and may have some pointers to give.

When Hotohori seemed to get even more agitated Miroku looked to inuyasha and tried to calm his ruffles. (To late) so inuyasha being inuyasha cut in. "Look we are just here to help! And by all means if you want your fighters to die then turn us down!" and with that he walked away.

"Forgive my friend he's just -" "No he's right." Tasuki answered. "Let my daughter show you around and the two of you may start by training my Sango and my niece Kagome. They are two of the best fighters in our village. When you are done they will train the others understand."

Miroku nodded his agreement then walked out after inuyasha. He found him standing at the end of the road looking out across the clearing. "You need to mind your temper." Miroku patted his back. "I don't like this … having to hide who I am having to train the women I love to fight in a battle that would most likely kill her." Inuyasha looked to Miroku.

"So you heard that did you." Inuyasha flicked his ears and gave him a look that said (Duh) "inuyasha we both knew that Kagome and Sango were worriers … did you honestly think they wouldn't be involved." He just crossed his arms over his chest and growled.

Miroku shook his head. "You think this doesn't bother me too? You forget that I love Sango also!"

Meanwhile back at keades hut. She and Myoga were trying to find a way to prevent inuyasha and Kagome from dieing when defeating Naraku. "Keade you know as well as I do that your visions have always come to pass so why even bother?"

Keade looked to the little flea and said. "I had another vision … it was the same as the first. Inuyasha and Kagome defeat Naraku then die after wards. But then as that vision ended another assaulted me. One were there was something different about Kagome and it made inuyasha stronger."

Myoga looked surprised and begun to hope up and down. "We must tell lord Mamoru right away. He will be thrilled to hear there is a chance that his son may live." "NO!" Keade yelled. "There is still a chance the first vision will come to pass."

"But if we find what made Kagome different in the second vision we might be able to save them." Keade gave him a weak smile but nodded in agreement. The two of them will find away to stop inuyasha and Kagome's death.
