Inuyasha went running after Kagome, right when Kagome put the key in the ignition, Inuyasha leapt on the hood of the car. Kagome got of the car and pulled Inuyasha off the top of the hood.

“What the fuck are you doing? You know, I could've made you go flying off my car if I wanted to.”

“No you wouldn't have done something like that, you're too sweet.” Inuyasha chuckled.

“You think I'm sweet. Here's a newsflash. I am not sweet and I don't want anything to do with you.” Kagome shouted. “Get your hands off of me!” Inuyasha kept his grip on her arms and dragged her around the front of the car and kissed her.

Kagome automatically pulled back from the kiss and slapped him on the face.

“What the fuck are you doing? I don't want you to kiss me…” Kagome shouted loud enough to get everybody's attention from who was in the lot.

“Oh, don't you like it Kags... I heard you went out with Koga, and I know you got further with him.” Inuyasha smirked at that comment. Kagome went still in his arms and tried not to show any emotion, that was until Inuyasha smirked at her then she wrestled with him to let her go.

“Get your hands off of me Inuyasha, I mean it.” Kagome couldn't cover the hurt in her voice. Inuyasha complied and dropped his hands, but lightly still held her against him.

“What did he do to you, Kagome?” Inuyasha's voice asked with concern.

“Nothing that you should concern you. It was my mistake that I actually loved him, to him it was a summer fling and that is that.” `I've never shared that information with anybody else. Why would I tell Inu, that.' Kagome rested her head on Inuyasha's shoulder; Inuyasha wrapped his arms around her and swore to figure what the hell that Koga did to make her so upset.

 

“Thanks Inuyasha for the shoulder to lean on. Okay, since we have to do this project about dumb old and dead William Shakespeare. Let's get this done with.” Kagome stated the obvious.

“I agree Kagome. Did you get any sleep at all last night; you fell asleep during 3 of your classes?” Inuyasha asked.

“I got about 2 hours of sleep. I had to do my homework. It took forever to finish. And may I ask why you would know about me falling asleep in my classes?”

“Well, if you haven't noticed we have the same schedule. That means…”

“Yeah, I know what that means. Why didn't you get paired up with Kikyo, you two are always together. And tell me now so I don't feel like an idiot when I get home because Kikyo will definitely ask questions.” Kagome said.

“Well, again, if you haven't noticed Kikyo and I aren't going out anymore and I asked the teacher to assign me to work with you so I can annoy even more.”

“Hardy-ha-ha. Very funny. Well I would love to stay and chat but I want to get this project done. Do you want to come over to my place and work on it or what do you want to do?”

“We'll go to your place. I wouldn't mind making Kikyo mad at me. I could always use some more anger ammo from her.”

 

Inuyasha got in the passenger side while Kagome turned on the car and turned up the volume. The song “My Happy Ending” was blasting out of the stereo making the car vibrate.

Kagome was yelling at the top of her lungs along with the music, forgetting that Inuyasha was next to her. Inuyasha poked her.

“Fuck, Sorry I forgot that you were still here.” Kagome stared intently on the road,

unaware that Inuyasha was staring at her. “I wonder if that was how she felt about Koga. I know he always talked about her, but I didn't think anything of it.' Inuyasha continued to stare at her.

`I have to know what happened.'

 

Kagome pulled into the driveway, she should've known better than to start singing the song that showed every emotion about her relationship with Koga. `God-dammit. Why am I even thinking about the stupid ass? I want some alcohol.'

“Come on in, Inuyasha. Hello? Alright come in whenever then.” Kagome said to his face. He wasn't answering back. She attempted to get out of the car to put distance between them. Inuyasha grabbed her arm and pulled her back into the car.

“Kagome, tell me what he did to you. I want to help you. I... I... well I like you. Okay I said it.” Inuyasha finally told her how he felt.

“Inuyasha, if you really want to know can we at least take this upstairs where there's more privacy.”

“Sure.” Inuyasha grabbed his backpack and followed her into the house and was greeted by Kikyo, Kagome's twin.

“My gosh, Inuyasha! I haven't seen you since… well since yesterday. What are you doing here?” Kikyo giggled.

“Kagome and me and working on a project for English.” Inuyasha smirked, Kagome pulled Inuyasha's arm toward the stairs that led to her room.

“Tell mom, I'm home. We're gonna be in my room doing to project.” Kagome yelled down to Kikyo.

Kagome and Inuyasha sat on the bed, books splayed between them Kagome reading Romeo and Juliet and Inuyasha with his head on Kagome's headrest, pretending to be asleep.

“Come on Inuyasha, we've only been at it for two hours. I know you aren't asleep, so quit pretending. Read something.” Kagome shook her head; Inuyasha wasn't paying attention to her. Kagome buried her face in the book once again. Inuyasha looked up at her. `I can't play around, I need to know.'

“Kagome…” Inuyasha only had to say her name and she was looking at him. “Now's the time.' His face was no more than a mere inch
