Author's Note: I'm sooo sorry people, I am such a procrastinator and I hate it. Well, here's the chapter people have been wanting me to post. But Rin and Sesshomarou's date is also going to take part of the next chapter so technically this is only Kagome and Inuyasha's date, but here's the story I'm soo sorry people. Please don't throw the tomatoes at me anymore. (Holds up another wall scroll of Inuyasha and Sesshomarou… drools) Man are they hott?

Chapter 9

“Oh my gosh, I'm going on a date with Sesshy. What should I wear? How should I do my make-up? You're going to help with this.” Rin grabbed her sister's hand and pulled Kagome into the spare room and they got ready for the big date.

Rin pulled Kagome up to the spare room and started to prepare for her big date with Sesshomarou for later that night. Rin rummaged through her closet. Kagome got fed up with Rin throwing her clothes around the room. Kagome selected a red spaghetti strap top from the closet along with a black mini-skirt. Kagome forced Rin to dress right there so she could do her make-up. It was nearing 7:30 by the time Rin was dressed in her attire and plopped down in front of Kagome's vanity. She applied black eyeliner and a red lipstick. Kagome added blush to appeal any guy. By the time that they had finished with the make-up, Rin slipped into her sandals, and the doorbell rang shortly after that. Kagome went down the stairs two at a time to get to the door

 

“Hi Sesshomarou, how are you?” Kagome said for small talk.

 

“Fine, my idiot of a brother should get up here soon. I dropped him off at the store because he wanted to grab something. Oh well, is Rin ready?” Sesshomarou asked.

 

“Yeah, she should be down shortly. Do you want a drink?” Kagome asked politely.

 

“No, I'll just wait for her to come down and then we'll be leaving.” Sesshomarou with finality to get the girl to stop talking. He sat down to calm his nerves that he doesn't like to show to other people. He leaned back in the recliner as Rin walked down the stairs.

 

“Hi, Sesshy, where are we going?” Rin asked him, a smile crossing her face from seeing his reaction.

 

“Well, hello to you too. I was thinking maybe we could go back to my place and eat outside, maybe a nice picnic by the pond or something.” Sesshomarou said while grasping Rin's wrist and pulling her to the front door.

 

“See ya later, have fun.” Rin said merrily.

 

“You too sis, have a blast.” Kagome waved to them as they pulled away. Kagome closed the front door and sat down on the couch thinking of what to do next… That was until the doorbell rang.

 

“I'm coming.” Kagome lazily got up from the couch with a sigh and walked to the door and opened it to the sight of Inuyasha carrying four bags of groceries.

 

“Do you need help?” Kagome asked.

 

“Keh!” Inuyasha walked into the room and deposited the bags on the kitchen counter, and was about to turn around toward the living room when he heard Kagome pulling the contents from the bags onto the counter…

 

“Don't do that wench.” Inuyasha grabbed Kagome's arms and forced her into the living room and sat down pulling the girl down with him.

 

“Ahh! Warn a girl before you do that. All I was trying to do was be polite.”

 

Inuyasha tried to get comfortable on the couch. He grabbed the remote and channel surfed until he began to get hungry and got up and strutted into the kitchen. He pulled the contents out of the bag and started mixing this and that together…

 

Kagome entered behind him and intently looked at what Inuyasha was doing in her kitchen cooking something the smelled deliciously. She appreciated the food that he cooked. They sat on the couch and ate in peace, while their siblings were having a nice picnic.

Rin and Sesshy

“Oh, wow. This place is just how I remembered it. So, where exactly is this picnic?” Rin asked.

 

Sesshomarou strolled past the gardens and sat cross-legged by the oak tree. What Rin saw, was a blue and white checkered cloth laying on the floor, with Sesshomarou sitting in the middle with a picnic basket beside him.

 

“Well, what are you staring at, sit down. Eat.” Sesshomarou patted the cloth suggesting she sit down. Rin sat cautiously down; unaware of what could happen next.

 

Sesshomarou opened the basket to the sight of turkey sandwiches and what-not galore. He waited till Rin reached in and pulled out a turkey sandwich and a bag of ruffles sour cream and cheddar. He then dug in after her and they happily ate and talked of what they did when they were last separated.

“That was a great dish that you made, where did you learn how to cook?” Kagome questioned the blushing hanyou.

 

“My mom taught me. She taught Sesshomarou how to cook too. Well, what do you want to do now?” Inuyasha asked.

 

As Kagome scooted closer to Inuyasha, the door clicked open and in walked Mrs. Higuarshi, with Kikyo and Souta following in behind her. They sprang apart from each other.

 

“I didn't know you were home Kagome, Inuyasha I didn't see your car in the driveway. And Kagome, why is Rin home. I thought she didn't have spring break for another month.”
