At the Guest Villas. Rin, Kagome, and Sango were discussing the mating issue while Miroku was outside with Jaken and Shippou, teaching them how to flirt...This was much to the chagrin of Sango who was now married to Miroku. Rin was the first to speak,

“I don't get it. How could I have known that mark on his neck was from his wife? I mean, he's the only demon I know besides Inuyasha-sama.” Sango put a hand on the young girl's shoulder,

“Well, if it was there every time you cleaned his wounds, one can only assume you'd ask. So why didn't you?”

“I-I didn't want to offend him, you know? I thought it could be a scar from his childhood or something. Jaken-sama told me that Sesshoumaru-sama didn't have a very pleasant one. So I never asked.” Rin replied nervously, sounding dumb to herself as she answered. Kagome spoke,

“Wow. If Sesshoumaru-sama didn't have an enjoyable childhood, I can only imagine how discordant Inuyasha......I mean, Inuyasha-sama's childhood was like. But that's besides the point. How could I have known? I mean he'd hiss whenever my fingers barely scraped by it. I guess I'm like Rin in the fact I didn't want to offend him by asking what it was.”

“If he'd told me.....” Rin said looking at the floor.

“If I'd asked..........” Kagome did the same.

“Maybe.................” Rin continued,

“I wouldn't have fallen in love with him.” They said in unison. Sango brought up a suggestion,

“You know, its not too late to leave. We could just go and they'd never have to see us or have anything to do with us ever again.” Rin nodded and Kagome did the same and then Rin went to the window. She saw a little demon child, a girl, run into the courtyard yelling,

“Mommy! Daddy! Mommy! Daddy!” and into the arms of a smiling and laughing Sesshoumaru. To make matters worse for Rin, right next to him was the High Lady Shesse. She turned to the other women in the room,

“Look you guys; out the window...” She said sadly. The two women came over and looked out the window. Tears started to brim in Rin's eyes as she watched so she turned from the window saying, “It would be best if we just left now.” Just then Inuyasha and Jade came walking up hand in hand. Seeing this, made Kagome cry as well.

“It would've better if we'd never met! Then none of this would've happened!” She yelled between sobs. Rin hung her head and she and Kagome left the room. Sango remained at the window, watching the Imperial Family looking for any signs of resentment for what they had done to Kagome and Rin. She watched for half and hour and found none.

“Damn you demons! Damn you both to Hell! I won't ever forgive you for this!” Sango yelled into nothingness. However, she failed to realize, that she had an unexpected visitor standing behind her. It was the Lady Jade. She had noticed Sango watching them about 5 minutes prior to her outburst and had excused herself to come and investigate.

“Forgive them?” She hissed, “Forgive them for what?” Sango, spun on her heels with a start, shocked to find herself face to face with the hanyou beauty. She soon regained her composure and spat back at the Imperial,

“For what those two bastards did to my friends! That's what!”
