Life Is Tough

Konnichiwa minna!
I hope that everyone enjoyed the first chapter of Life Is Tough. I hope you will come to like the second chapter as well.
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the character from InuYasha although I would love to own Sesshoumaru-sama. But as we all know, Rumiko Takahashi is the lucky lady who owns him and everyone else in InuYasha.

“So what is it that you needed to tell to me about, Kagome-chan?” asked Sango as she drew herself closer to her friend in order to be heard over the loud music playing in the background.
Taking a deep breathe and letting it out in a slowing and calming practice, Kagome motioned for Sango to follow her. Once they reached a quiet alcove overlooking Shinjuku, Kagome turned towards the window and began telling Sango what had been troubling her.
“She's bitching at me again. She is constantly implying that I do absolutely nothing to help out around the house, and it just pissed the hell out of me. What the hell does she want from me? I know she wants me to find a job demo she won't let me work in the field I like,” Kagome informed angrily.
Reaching towards her friend, Sango soothingly rubbed her back in an attempt to help calm her down. She understood exactly were Kagome was coming from. She was in that same situation a short while back before she agreed to work as a postal worker along side her mother. “I know what you mean. I don't mind working in the Post office demo… it's definitely not were I would like to work the rest of my life,” she understandingly said to Kagome.
“Yeah… well at least your mother isn't nagging you anymore. Mine on the other hand doesn't see the fact that I'm studying to be a doctor demo she does sees that fact that I am currently job less and continues to nag. KAMI! It's not like I don't want a job. It's just that I want to get a job that I can at least see myself having a good time at. What's so bad with wanting as a secretary or receptionist in a firm? It better than working in a factory that won't let me focus on school,” Kagome ranted.
“So what are you planning to do? You know you can't continue like this. Eventually the stress will pile up and you won't be able to focus on school regardless of whether you have a job or not,” came Sango's wise words.
“Geez Sango-chan. Since you and my cousin Miroku got engaged, you've started sounding like him. What's up with that?” Kagome said distractedly. She knew that Sango was right but that didn't mean that she had to be happy with the current situation.
Giving a light laugh, Sango looked out the window and said in an amused voice, “Well considering that he and I have known each other since Kami knows when and that we have been engaged for the last two years, I think that it would have a bad thing if I didn't know how he thought or talked.”
Raising an eyebrow, Kagome couldn't help but say, “Great!!! Now there are two Mirokus,” in a sarcastic yet teasing voice.
Giving Kagome a scathing look, Sango couldn't help but laugh. She wasn't offended by her comment. She knew that Kagome was just joking. Even though she was to become her cousin, Kagome really was more like her sister.
“So like I said, what are you going to do?”
“All I do know is that I am going to look for a job even if it is outside of Shinjuku ward. And whatever Okaa-san thinks, well… that's her problem. I just want to find a job so she'll back off and stop annoying the shit out of me.”
“Don't worry too much Kagome-chan. If you do things will only get harder for you and that's the last thing you need.”
“I know.”
“Tell you what Kagome-chan.”
“What, Sango-chan?”
“Tell me exactly what kind of job you want and I'll help you find an opening. And I'll see if I can find it somewhere close to your house so Higurashi-san doesn't flip her lid too much. What do you say?” she asked Kagome encouragingly. This way, she could have the job she wants and still be close by so her mother wouldn't get too upset.
Seriously thinking about Sango's suggestion, Kagome finds that she likes it. `This way, I can work in an environment that won't drive me crazy or bore me to death, and my mother would have absolutely no reason to trip. It's not like it would be far from home, so her paranoia should settle down a bit.'
Focusing her attention to Sango's smiling face, Kagome sensed herself returning a smile. “That sounds great Sango-chan. I'll e-mail you letting you know exactly the type of job I want. Arigatou Sango-chan. Seriously, I appreciate you helping me and letting me vent.'
Giving Kagome a sisterly hug, Sango said, “No problem. You know that if I can help you out that I will. What do you expect me to do? Sit around and do nothing while my future cousin goes through hell? I don't think so.”
Letting out two good natured AND relaxed laughs, Kagome motioned for Sango to follow her back onto the dance floor where they proceeded to enjoy the rest of the night with carefree expressions.

Kami—God
Okaa-san—mother (formal)
A/N: I know that this is a very short chapter demo… I just don't like to drag stories on especially when I feel like it is a nice place to end it. I love writing but I also have come to realize that sometimes, an author needs to end it before they make the mistake of losing the flow and ease of their stories.
Just to let you know, the guys will be making their appearances soon. I can't say much besides that.
