LIFE OF A 10th GRADER (Season 1)

 

 

Ok, that time of year was comin along again: beach parties, blind dates, mall dashes…of course, Ashley was exited, the summers always the best time to hang out with friends, sleep in, and in short, do whatever you want. But something stopped her from giggling like her classmates on the last day of 9th grade.

 

Her best friends, Joyce and Keren, noticed this right away. After the last bell for the year sounded, and Ashley slowly walked towards the front gates, they caught up to her.

 

“Hey Ashley, wait a sec!”

 

“Typical” she thought. “They just HAVE to bug me now. I know they're my best friends, but I really don't have the patience for their long speeches. Im sooooo depressed, I wanna be alone”

 

She slightly turned around. Luckily, 2 guys, called derrick and Jake , crossed her friends path. “A lucky occurrence!! NOW's my chance to make my escape!” while Derrick and Jake blocked Joyce's and Kerens view of Ashley, she quickly but quietly opened the gate, walked through, and then slowly closed it. At that point, she began to run, knowing the guy's diversion wouldn't last very long.

 

She suddenly stopped running half way back home. She began to cry. `WHY did I do this?! What kind of friend am I?! Am I really that afraid of my 2 best friends in the whole world? Ill never forgive myself for this…. Heck, they're the ones that won't forgive me. ITS ALL becuz….” With that, she murmured under her breath, “I don't have any boyfriend to love me, to hold me close at the beach as the sun sets, to need me, to…' she couldn't finish, it was too much for her. She was so very jealous of her best friends. If they had boyfriends, why didn't she? Was she really that ugly? Was she really that unworthy of the boy's time? “I guess its true, im just the biggest lonely looser that ever walked this earth!” more tears fell down her beautiful face. Unfortunately, she never saw it. She never saw the truth.

 

As Ashley trudged on, her weak feet skidded with every step she took on the pavement. This was the worst day of her entire life. She never felt more jealous. She HATED being jealous of anyone, especially her friends. But she couldn't help it.

 

But close by… someone was watching her… she went right past him, with NO idea of his presence. He was hiding behind a tall, wide tree. Who was it? None other than Inuyasha! He was listening when she cried out from her pain, he was listening when she murmured her words of agony, and he even understood her, even though he didn't really know her. He happened to go to the same school as she did, and he saw her every day. But he could never muster up the courage to speak up and talk to her. The girl of his dreams was walking away…. He had to do something!

 

He took a deep breath, and moved from his hiding spot. She hadn't gone far, so he caught up very fast.

 

“Ashley?”

 

That was the very first time he said her same. He made it sound like he wasn't sure who she was. He wanted this to be a surprise.

 

Startled, Ashley turned herself around. He was standing right in front of her. It was so close, she started to blush slightly.

 

“Huh? Oh wait… I think I know you…”

 

“Well that's a good sign” he thought. She seems to know me, I was afraid she never saw me even once this whole year. With all the hard agitating times she's been going through, I wouldn't blame her. I feel so bad for her.”

 

“Hey Ashley… I hope you don't mind me being here now. Do you? Cuz if ud rather be alone, I don't mind” at the same time, he thought: “but it would kill me if I go Ashley, you're body and beauty have intoxicated me. I really really wanna get to know you!”

 

“Well… no, I don't mind Inuyasha” after saying this, she looked up and stared into his amber eyes. It was a look of pure sadness and pain. Her eyes were telling him ONE thing. Please take me, you're the only man ive loved. Take me, but don't break my already weak heart. His eyes were telling her the exact same feeling.

 

It was love at first sight. Now what Inuyasha never knew was that Ashley had her eyes on him ever since the beginning of the year. AND she also couldn't find the courage to say anything to him. But she never gave it a chance, she saw how handsome he was, he seemed to glow brighter than the sun every time he came into her classroom at certain classes they just happened to have together. Like mathematics. It was hard enough for Ashley to concentrate on the annoyingly long equations. But when Inuyasha walked in, the papers on her desk didn't exist. Her eyesight was completely fixated on him. And becuz he was soo attractive, all the girls did whatever possible to get nearer to him. In short, he was the most popular guy in school. And THAT'S why she never bothered to try. To try and get his attention, his love, his affection…

 

“Hey Ashley.. Are you all right? You seem to be staring into space.” Inuyasha laughed after he said this. `Oh, sorry… I haven't been normal lately” she gave him the most beautiful feminine smile he's EVER seen. `Hey, lets go sit on that bench over there, I have to talk to you about something” this came as a complete surprise to her, but she agreed.

 

After they both sat down, Ashley could've sworn he nudged himself closer to her. `Listen, Ashley, about what you said, that you haven't been normal lately.. What is normal anyway?! In my opinion, being normal….” At this point, he was looking at her with such love, Ashley was taken aback. HOW was it possible that this ultra popular hunk was falling in love with her?! It made absolutely no sense to her. This whole year, it appeared to her that she didn't exist; she wasn't worthy of anyone's time, including Inuyashas. But… the truth was, she was falling in love now… into a deep and possibly dangerous love.

 

“Being normal is being yourself. You shouldn't worry about how people think about you. I know, why believe me? When I constantly need to worry about my self-image? But trust me Ashley, I know this, becuz ive seen that always worrying about how I look has brought me nothing but aggravation. For the longest time, ive been wishing that id never have to be so called “perfect” all the time anymore. So really, you're just as normal as anyone else!”

 

Could she believe her ears? Did he REALLY say all that?

 

“Inuyasha.. I.. I never knew all this! And ya know what? I think ure right! And to think that ive been having problems…”

 

“Ashley… I didn't just sit here with u to give you a lecture. I… uhh….” “its ok Inuyasha, u don't have to push yourself. I often have a hard time saying what I want also” as Inuyasha was trying to get the words out, Ashley could tell EXACTLY what was on his mind. It was the hardest thing you can say to anyone. The big four letter word. LOVE. He loved her. But how the hell would he say it? His painful and unforgettable past experience (more about that later) was causing him to be very unsure about himself.

 

Finally, after about a minute, he gave up. Hed tell her when he was ready to. “Never mind Ash, forget about it. C'mon, ill walk you back home” with that, he took her hand, and led her back to her house. The wind was blowing gently on them. During the journey to her house, they talked and discussed about several things, including a bit of their life stories and funny things that happened to them. It wasn't long before they reached her house. It was fairly big, with a nice shade of blue paint. It even had a nice yard with fresh green summer grass. The aroma that came from it was delicious. Not to mention the smell of dinner filling the air.

 

But unknown to Ashley, who was in 7th heaven, Inuyasha was only fixated on HER. The fragrance that clinged to her clothing overcame all the other things. Man, his hormones were in a rage. It took all of his inner power to keep it under control.

 

“well, I guess ill see ya tomorrow, unless you're doing something” “oh, uh, not really, my calendar this summer is pretty much empty,hehe” “that laugh again, Inuyasha thought. Theres something so attractive about it, so angel like and innocent. Everything inside of me is screaming one thing. Shes the one. Over and over I keep hearing it in my head. Jeeze, I wont be able to sleep tonight. For sure.”

 

“Ok then, goodnight Ash!” “Night inu! Thanks for walking me home, I loved it!” “You're always welcome ash. See ya.” “Bye!” she kept her eyes on him as he walked away, until she couldn't see him any longer. “This has been the most amazing day of my whole life. And my god, he is sooooo hot, especially now when I see him at a distance. And what's up with this nickname he's suddenly been using, “Ash”? Does it mean he really likes me more than I thought? Well, my feelings run way deeper than just liking him, hehe…. I called him inu. That's soooo cute!!”

 

“ASHLEY!! Dinners on the table!” `Huh? Oh yea, wait a sec, ill be right there!” “Well, hurry up, it won't stay hot forever!” “Ok mom!”

 

She dashed up the stairs, got out of her school uniform, threw it in her laundry basket, slipped on her PJs, and went downstairs.

 

“Well, honey, how was your last day at school? Did your grades turn out ok?” Ashley winced. She didn't have to be a mind reader to know that her mom would ask her that. So what was she goanna tell her? Oh, mom, don't worry, it was only filled with Cs and Ds, no big deal?! But it was. She needed good grades to enter high school. And frankly, she wasn't doing as well as she should've been that year. If only life's annoying problems didn't get in the way all the time. Then she probably would've done better.

 

`Uh, well, mom… its ok. Not as good as I wanted, but its better than past years” oh great, what a lie. Now I have to have guilt of lying on my chest. Just what I didn't need.

 

“Well, I wont press you anymore about it. Lets eat.” Yea.. im starving, ive had a really awesome day.” “Oh really? What happened?” I uh… I met this guy…' before she had the chance to finish, her mom went absolutely berserk. “ NO WAY!!! You're kidding me, right? You're telling me a guy hit on you?! I don't believe it” “well, mom, its true. And uhh.. I think im falling for him. I've had my eyes on him ever since the beginning of the year, and I liked him the moment I layed my eyes on him.”

 

Their meal together passed by swiftly. Ashley took the dishes from the table and dropped them carefully into the sink. She told her mom shed wash them for her tomorrow. Up the stairs she went, plopped down on her bed, and fell asleep fast. But before she did, she couldn't help but think,” I wish so much that inu was right here with me, whispering things to me, then falling asleep with me in my arms. Im in love with him big time!”

 

 

END OF SEASON 1! (Sorry, I know its short, but the next season will be 2 times longer!)

 

Don't worry readers, ive made a solemn oath that ill finish and complete this story, no matter how long it'll be and no matter hoe long it'll take to type, I WILL get it done! And about my other stories, they'll be finished as soon as I get this one done,ok? SO PLEASE be patient, im really trying hard!!! AND DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT!! Im begging you, all of you out there, I know everyone hates it when the story they read isn't done, so if u want it all to be, THEN COMMENT1 I really don't think its to much to ask!! I take away soo much of my time writing up these stories, and I think I deserve it!!! Well. Until nest time then!! ^^ See yall soon! (ps.
