After several hours passed by, the group was finally ready to leave for the beach. Everyone is in Kai's Explorer and taking a joyful ride to the beach.

Inuyasha: Where's the beach?

Kagome: Ask Kai.

Inuyasha: Kai, where's the beach?

Kai: It's an hour from here but by the way I'm driving, we'll be there in less time.

Miroku: You're a dangerous driver Kai.

Kai: Yup, I know.

Sango: I wish I could be in the back part of the truck but Ryoi and Sesshomaru called it first.

(Car order: Kai = driver; Miroku = passenger side; Sango, Inuyasha & Kagome = backseat; and Sesshomaru & Ryoi = trunk part)

Kagome: *turns around and sees Sesshomaru and Ryoi sleeping* Aww, that is so cute!

Sango: *turns around* No way!

(Inuyasha turns around and just starts laughing really hard. Kagome gives Inuyasha the death glare and he shuts up instantly)

Sango: SHE GOT YOU ON A LEASH INUYASHA! *laughs*

Inuyasha: *mumbles* Fuck you Sango.

Chapter IV: Tough Love

It took a while for Kagome to stop crying. She lost one friend in two hot seconds. Her and Inuyasha stood in the hallway for what seemed like an eternity, that is, until Kagome backed away from Inuyasha's embrace.

"I'm sorry Inuyasha," Kagome said while wiping the tears from her eyes.

"For what? There's nothing to be sorry about."

"Well, I'm sorry about everything." As Kagome said that Inuyasha's face looked like pure confusion. "The earlier argument. The hitting you in the face and knocking your hat off. The situation leading to losing one of my closest friends and now using you as a human tissue or something."

"Um, I really don't mind."

"Don't lie because you are a terrible liar Inuyasha."

"I'm not lying Kagome. I really didn't mind."

"You sure?"

"Yeah. How about I walk you to your car?"

"Sure. Thanks Inuyasha."

"No problem."

As they began to walk, Kagome slipped her hand into Inuyasha's hand. Inuyasha gave her a questioning glance but she only smiled. Inuyasha somewhat smiled back at her. Something had transpired in that moment they looked at each other because they had stopped walking towards the car. Kagome squeezed his hand and he jolted out of his daze.

"Did I do something wrong?" Kagome released his hand.

"Well," he took a deep breath. "No you didn't. You just startled me. That's all." Inuyasha replied.

"Wow, you can actually think?" she said laughing.

"Wench." He replied smirking at her.

"The tension was too high. I had to say something to make us laugh." They started walking again.

"Kagome, will you be okay?" he asked. "You know, about the situation."

"I'll be okay Inuyasha. I just need to talk to Kai before I leave here." They stopped by her car.

"Wow, a 2004 Toyota Spyder. That is one cool convertible!" Inuyasha said excitedly.

"So you like it?"

"I love it!"

"What do you drive?" she asked.

He turned around and pointed to a motorcycle. "That right there, is my ride."

"Kawasaki?"

"How you know?"

"I use to ride four wheelers with my little brother. It was made by Kawasaki."

"Oh, well I'm leaving. Mom will have a fit if I don't get back on time and dad will blow a vein in his head because of that."

She laughed. "Okay, I won't hold you any longer. Thanks again Inuyasha."

"Your welcome. See ya."

"Bye."

Kagome watched Inuyasha ride out of the parking lot on his motorcycle. She got in her car, rolled down her windows and cut on the radio to pass by some time before Kai came out. Once she cut on the radio, she put her favorite cd on. It was Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory. She switched to the fifth track and started singing with the song Crawling. Who knows why, but listening to this song actually explain her mood and how she was feeling. She lost two of her friends and almost lost Inuyasha to the surge of anger she let out. If the truth was told, maybe all of her friends would've left her to herself.

[Kagome POV]

I really screwed up. I mean, I zone out on the one friend I had since middle school and here we are in college. She was the most quiet kid you could ever see but with me and Sango around, she was quite talkative. We opened her up. Well technically, Kai helped out too. I swear I didn't mean to zone out on her and Kai. I need to apologize as quick as possible.

Picking up her phone, she dialed up Ryoi's home number. Instead of hearing her lively voice on the phone, she caught her answering machine. Some music played in the background. Usher's 'You'll Be In My Heart' could be clearly heard with no type of static. Then Ryoi's voice came on.

"I love this song as you can tell. *laughs* Well, I'm not home but you can leave me a message with your name and number and whatever. I'll call you when I get back. Ja."

"Um Ryoi, it's Kagome. I'm calling because I wanted to apologize to you but you're not home. So give me a call. *sigh* Now that I think about it, I don't think you will be calling me back. So when you feel up to it, call me. Until then, I'll keep calling. Bye." I hung up and just hoped that she will call me back.

"You gonna call her back?" Sesshomaru asked.

"No."

"Fine. Will you ever tell me about what happened? I mean, I'm not pressuring you or anything." he said.

"One day, I will and I know you're not pressuring me. You're just concerned about me and I'm glad you are."

"Why?"

"I been alone almost too long. I lost alot and at that time I lost alot, no one care about me."

"Don't talk about it then."

"I'm gonna have to tell it soon. It could corrupt me in a way."

"Yes it could. I'm not going to lie about something like that. I've been throught alot myself you know. So lets do it like this, when you're ready to tell me your secrets, I'll tell you mines. It's an eye for an eye. Deal?"

"Deal. I feel a little better now."

"Good. Now how about we hook up this playstion 2 that's hooked up in front of us and play some Need For Speed Underground?" Sesshomaru asked.

"Hook it up! I can beat you anyday with my Integra!" Ryoi smirked. Sesshomaru got up and started to hook up the playstation to the vcr. "Oh and Sesshomaru?"

"Yes?" he said still hooking up the playstation.

Ryoi got up and walked over to where Sesshomaru was standing and whispered in his ear, "You have a killer ass." She smacked his ass and ran off throughout the house.

"YOU'LL REGRET THAT WOMAN!!!" he said as he started to chase after her.

Kai, Miroku and Sango we're sitting in the cafeteria not eating lunch as usual because the food was always horrible. Kai felt this unbelievable urge to yell at Sango because he has been feeling her eyes staring holes in him.

"SANGO, WILL YOU PLEASE STOP STARING AT ME!" Kai screamed.

"I can't help it. It's just that after we found out you were what you were, it seems unbelievable. It's unreal to me, you know?"

"Yea yea, whatever." Kai muttered to himself.

"Kai. What in the world made you what you are? You know, the half demon thing?" Miroku asked.

"Do you promise not to tell anyone? I will hunt you down myself if I told you about Ryoi and my past."

"I promise." Miroku and Sango said at the same time.

"Let's go outside and discuss this. It's better with few people around."

Kai got up and led Miroku and Sango to a secluded spot behind the school grounds. It was quite a ways behind the school. It was a dirt path that lead to an opening. Kai stopped right in the middle of the opening. Without turning around, her spoke to Sango and Miroku.

"Where should I begin?"

"How about from the beginning?" Sango suggested.

"Well...

*****FLASHBACK*****

Alexa and Ray sat inside a bowling alley back in the United States. They both loved to bowl, so every saturday you would catch them two at the bowling alley.

"Do you think we'll go to Japan one day?" Rey asked.

"Well, we should. If we keep it up we just might. Money is my concern right now. We need it to go to Japan." Alexa answered.

Rey jumped off the side of the ddr game that he was sitting on and walked over to the glass window to stare at it. He saw Alexa's reflection turn and look at what he was doing.

"You don't think it will happen will you?"

"Truthfully Ray, we gotta work hard on getting the money and definetly work on learning japanese to it's full extent."

"Hmmm..."

"Whatcha thinking?"

"I wanna go. One day somehow, I wanna go."

"Let's do what we gotta do then."

They both stood in total silence. You could hear all of the games playing in the area with ddr being the loudest. The next thing they heard was someone screaming and running towards them. Alexa quickly jumped off the bar on the ddr machine as one of their insane friends ran into it.

*SLAM*

"Ouch! Damnit that hurt..." he groaned out.

"You fucking dumbass. Why the fuck did you do that in the first place Matt?!" Alexa yelled.

"Cause I thought it was gonna be fun to do if I jumped over it."

"Matt, you didn't even try to jump." Ray informed Matt.

"Yea, I know. Pain is so cool sometimes." Matt replied.

"No...fucking...comment..." Alexa said.

"HEY MATT, YOU HAVE A NICE TRIP!" someone screamed.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP D. I'D BEAT YOUR ASS IF I COULD GET UP RIGHT NOW!"

"WHAT EVER MATT...I'LL MAKE SURE TO SEE YOU NEXT FALL." D laughed and walked away.

After helping Matt up Alexa and Ray's ride showed up. After Matt dusted himself off, he turned to grin widely at the two.

"Thanks. I guess I'll see you two next year?" Matt asked.

"Yup." They both said at the same time.

"Alrighty then. See you two next season!"

Alexa and Ray waved to Matt and Matt was screaming bye. As they drove home, they talked more about Japan until they arrived at Alexa's home. Ray and Alexa said their goodbyes but they kept in contact with each other after that.

****END FLASHBACK*****

"Sometime during the summer something happened to Ryoi and she called me panicking and going crazy. Something nagged at me while she was explaining everything that happened. The thing that really pissed me off though, was that she told me her parents died. And it was her friends father that did it. He left her a note and said he will be back for her and whoever she tells." Kai explained.

Sango gasped when he said that. 'So these two are still hiding from him to this day.' Sango looked down to the ground. "I'm sorry Kai, for everything. I didn't know about..."

"Stop." Kai cut her off. "I accept your apology towards me but not towards what happened. Anyway, we both lived through a rough life in the United States after that. Too many people knew what we were. So we kinda killed off our american lives. With some help from Matt, D and the rest of the bowling squad who really cared, they planned it as to where we died. We got new identities and moved here to Japan. That bastard is still looking for us because he doesn't believe that we died. He wants to find our bodies and if he doesn't find them he wants to find us and kill us."

"Do you know who the killer of her parents is?" Miroku asked.

"Yes I do."

"Who?" Sango whispered.

"Naraku Onigumo."

"The two timing bastard who also killed Inuyasha'a parents?!" Miroku yelled out.

Sango gasped and Kai's eyes opened up wide after Miroku's outburst.

"Are you telling me that is the reason you, Sesshomaru and Inuyasha came here?"

"Yeah. After they died, Inuyasha and Sesshomaru were gonna move to Japan to take over their fathers company and I talked to my parents and they talked to my aunt here in Japan and that's how I ended up coming with them." Miroku confessed. "Don't tell them I said anything please?"

"I won't tell." Sango said.

"Neither will I because I know exactly how you feel. It feels like you snitching on them." Kai said and then added, "Well, let's go. I don't think I could stand being here another minute. I want to go home."

"Ditto." Miroku said.

Kagome decided it was time to leave since she's been sitting in the parking lot for almost an hour. She started the car and drove out of the school parking lot. 'I guess it's just tough love between me and Ryoi. I hope it'll change someday though.' Kagome thought as she drove home.

END OF CHAPTER

Inuyasha and crew arrives at the beach. Everyone is out enjoying the sun except Sesshomaru and Ryoi, since the rest of the crew couldn't wake them up.

Kagome: Can you lay down in the sand Inuyasha?

Inuyasha: Why should I?

Kagome: I want to bury you in sand.

Inuyasha: *shocked* But...but...I'll die if you do!!!

Kagome: *sweat drop* Um...no you won't.

Miroku: You can bury me only if the lovely Sango can accompany me.

Sango: Over my dead body.

Miroku: Oh, you know you'll love it. Just give it a shot.

Kagome: *does a puppy face* PLEASE SANGO...PRETTY PLEASE???!!!

Sango: *sighs* I guess so...

Kagome and Inuyasha buries Sango and Miroku into the sand and Kagome devised a plan.

Kagome: *whispers in Inuyasha's ear* Go get a bucket of water for me.

Inuyasha: *whispers* Why?

Kagome: *whispers* Just do it.

Inuyasha gets the bucket of water and gives it to Kagome. When Sango and Miroku aren't looking, she dumps the water on them.

Sango: WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR?!

Kagome: Ohhhhhhh...no reason. Let's go for a swim Inuyasha.

5 minutes later Sango is screaming her head off because Miroku is groping her through the sand and she can't quite get out.

Sango: YOU HENTAI!!! STOP GROPING ME!!! OH MY GOD...I'M GONNA KILL YOU KAGOME! KAI HELP ME!! SOMEBODY!!!

Miroku: Now this is heaven...

Sango: Enjoy it while you can pervert cause you'll be seeing hell when I get out of here...
