Chapter 1
Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha. This story is an alternate universe with the gang at high school. I’m best at writing high school fics, so that’s what two of mine are.
There was a comely girl crying solo in front of her computer; she was listening to the only song that made her feel content.
A sound came from the computer letting her know that she had a message.
She quickly wiped away her tears and looked up at it.
Pyrodude: hey!
Mikogirl: hey what’s up?
Pyrodude: not much, I have to go to school tomorrow!
Mikogirl: yeah…me too…what school are you going to go to?
Pyrodude: Takahashi High…you?
Mikogirl: Awesome! Me too! Meet me out from nearby that old funny looking tree?
Pyrodude: I will be the dude with silver hair.
Mikogirl: I will be the girl with raven hair in a low braid.
Pyrodude: Ok see ya tomorrow. For now I have to go. Bye
Mikogirl: bye!
“Eee” She screamed happily. ‘Something good is actually happening!’
“Well I guess I should try and sleep… I want to be well rested when I finally meet him!!”
She laid down to go to bed and winced at her newest injury. She had a cut across her stomach. She reckoned she deserved this one. She had been caught skipping class. It was only because she had fallen asleep and her teacher had refused to believe her. She couldn’t fathom as to why not. She was one of the best students in her class. She had yet to miss a day, or even an hour of class before today. She sighed and rolled over.
She looked around her somber room, waiting for sleep to come. Her room had been the same for the past six years. Her red walls, her stereo, her computer (very outdated I might add), her bass, guitar, and drum set. Her queen bed with red sheets and a curtain surrounding it. She used to feel like a princess…now she only felt like a pampered prisoner. Her mother liked to spend money on her. She didn’t really know how to play the instruments that lie in her room. Her mother only bought them for her daughter to have something to do in her absence (she traveled for her job). She got up and painfully walked over to her bay window. She sat down and pulled her knees close to her chest. She stared at the moon and tears slipped down her pale cheeks. As time passed she slowly began to drift off in to her world of dreams.
Beep…beep…beep…beep!...beep!...beep!!! –Thud-
A girl groggily moaned. She had thrown the first thing she could grab at, her alarm clock.
A boy around the age of 13 walked in. He was wearing boxers and brushing his teeth.
“Kaggs…coold ou ry oo be cuie-r?” (Translation: “Kags…could you try to be quieter?”)
She grabbed a stuffed animal and threw it at him. He snorted, fore he couldn’t laugh too well with a toothbrush in his mouth, and left the room.
Kagome took a quick shower and quickly put her hair in a low braid. She put on simple black eye liner and frowned at herself in the mirror. In some people’s opinions she might be considered beautiful. In her opinion, she was as plain as her step father said she was. She put on her school uniform and grabbed a pair of clothes to change in to after school. Her school uniform consisted of a white long sleeved blouse, with a green collar, and a red neck tie with a short green skirt.
She started walking downstairs and she seen her little brother, Souta, staring solemnly at her. She gave him a confused look and he looked at her stomach. She followed his eyes and noticed that there was blood coming through her shirt. She sighed, put her stuff down, and hastily ran back upstairs. She took her shirt off, throwing it away, and put new bandages on. She put a new shirt on and pulled a red sweatshirt on over it. She ran back downstairs, grabbed her backpack, and headed out towards the car with Souta running after her.
“Kagome! Wait for me! You know I need a ride to school!!” He yelled running out and opening the car door. He got in; before he even got the door shut Kagome was already speeding off. Souta knew that it was a nice car, but he had no idea that it could go so fast. It was a ’69 Chevelle. The interior was black and the outside was red with white racing stripes. In truth it was a nice car. It had belonged to her father. Kagome loved the car dearly and usually drove like an old granny for fear that something would happen to her precious car. That is why it surprised Souta so much that she was driving so fast.
They arrived at Souta’s school in record time. Usually he got there just five minutes before the first tardy bell rang. Today he got there a full fifteen minutes before the bell. He never before had time to actually walk to class. Now he noticed things he never seen before. He laughed and ran off to join his friends in a little before school ‘fun‘.
Whenever Kagome got to school she quickly got out of the car, kissed it, and ran off to the tree she was to meet the young man at.
She sat at the foot of the tree and before long was dozing peacefully.
Okay, Yes, I have decided to finally rewrite this story. Please review and let me know what you think of the new chapter.
