Chapter 8

Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha.

“Kikyou…I have something to talk with you about, please allow the two women to accompany you to me.” The voice crackled out of the intercom. The raven-haired girl glanced up at it and nodded. As the voice had said, two girl’s came into the room.

“Hello, Kikyou. I am Kagura, this is my older sister Kanna.” She pointed to the much shorter and paler girl. Kikyou’s expression showed confusement.

“Naraku created us. Kanna was first. That’s why she is older. Appearances can be deceiving.” The girl nodded and followed them silently out of the room.

Sesshomaru and Inuyasha were sword fighting. Inuyasha was losing badly and Sesshomaru was looking as if nothing was phasing him. Rin, Sesshomaru’s girlfriend, was sitting off to the side eating popcorn and throwing it at them occasionally.

“Wussy!!” She screamed and threw more popcorn! Both brothers glared at her and continued fighting. Yes, Sesshomaru even glared at his own girlfriend!

Inuyasha was glad he had decided to wear his fire rat robe, fore he would have lost a limb or something if he hadn’t. When Sesshomaru play-fought, he really fought!

A flaming arrow came out of no where and Inuyasha looked in the direction from whence it came. He heard a faint ‘sorry’ and seen his neighbor Kaede shaking her head at Kagome. Inuyasha laughed. Sesshomaru took this time when he was distracted and used his poison claws. Inuyasha had seen this coming out of the corner of his eye and quickly tackled Sesshomaru to the ground. Sesshomaru was stunned. No one had ever gotten so close to beating him before; let alone a mere half-breed!! This angered Sesshomaru. He was the great. He was inheritor of his father’s fortune. He was supposed to be greater than Inuyasha! He mentally whined and threw a tantrum (mentally mind you! He would never do that outside of his own head).

Sesshomaru slashed at Inuyasha, but Inuyasha blocked yet again. He was a very powerful hanyou; that much was for sure.

The next thing Inuyasha knew was he heard a small voice. He looked all around, unable to see from whence it came. Finally he felt a tugging on his ear and he looked on his shoulder. There sat a flea.

“My name is Myouga, Lord Inuyasha! Use the Backlash Wave!” Inuyasha was very confused but decided to trust this guy.

“BACKLASH WAVE!!!” He screamed and swung his sword to the ground.

Kagome and Kaede stopped in their training and looked at what was happening at her neighbor‘s. The great Sesshomaru, who was known as the best fighter around, was just beat by a mere hanyou! Sesshomaru lay on the ground with a few scratches staring up with loathing at his little brother.

“Inuyasha…I despise you with great intensity.” He said simply, getting up and going in the house. Rin congratulated her boyfriend’s little brother on his win and went off to see to her boyfriend.

Inuyasha didn’t really hear or see anything going on around him. He was staring in shock at his sword. He had never known that it could do such things. He always thought that his father had left him ‘just a really cool sword’. Then the flea on his shoulder started to speak again.

“Lord Inuyasha…this was your father’s greatest sword. It and two other swords are all he possessed. The Tetsusaiga represents those with mortal souls. That is why I presumed you would be able to use it.” Inuyasha nodded though still baffled. “You will have to use this sword wisely. For now that you know how to control it, it will contain your demon side. If you get too angered and don’t have your Tetsusaiga at hand, you shall turn to your demon side, and you know what happens when that happens. I don’t think you should have to train with Sesshomaru for much longer before you should be ready to go after Naraku…Good luck Lord Inuyasha. I wish you well!” And with that Myouga jumped away, leaving Inuyasha to process everything.

Kagome came running up and cheerfully hugged him.

“Inuyasha isn’t this great!? You beat Sesshomaru in a training fight!” She exclaimed gleefully.

“Uhh….yeah…” Inuyasha still wasn’t all there.

So for this day and for many to come Inuyasha and Kagome trained as hard as they could. They learned everything that it takes a lifetime to learn in only days. They were always exhausted and gave up on school completely. How was that to help them with what they were to do anyway? Besides they could always get their G.E.D.‘s anyway (I’m using the American term because I don’t know what the Japanese do.)

Miroku, who had started his Monk-In-Training sessions only recently, decided to use this new knowledge to help them with their mission. Sango, who had been trained in demon slaying, decided to brush up a little. Hana and Jisho were both very good fighters, fore they were youkai, but strived to become better. Souta did the best he could learning from everyone, getting a little of everything that could possibly help. Everyone was trying to become the best they could for Kagome’s sake. She was such a great friend; they couldn’t bear to lose her.

One night while watching Kagome sleep Inuyasha made himself a vow; ‘Naraku, I swear…I will do everything I can to defeat you…I won’t let you take my Kagome!’

Naraku sat at a desk with Kikyou sitting across from him. His unwillingly faithful servants, Kagura and Kanna, sat a little ways away near the door.

“Kikyou, I will tell you things, you will listen and only speak when I tell you to. Understood?” He paused, awaiting her answer. She nodded and waited for him to continue.

“Good. Now, you are my daughter. Yes, I know you’ve always lived with a step-father, but I am your real father. Your mother had informed me of this after we had broken up. Kagome Higurashi is your step-sister. That won’t interfere with our little deal now will it?” The girl shook her head, processing the information. Her face never fell from its stoic façade.

“Good, good. You will be moved to higher accommodations. Do well to not disappoint me my daughter.

Somehow, I think this chapter lacks a little…I couldn’t think of what else to add to it though…it confuses me. I hope you enjoyed it though! Please continue reading and review!! Thank you to all my loyal readers! :)
