Please check out my story, Do I Loathe Thee?
Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha.
The Battle-That’s-Not-A-Battle! Rejoice! The reason that it’s a Battle-That’s-Not-A-Battle, is because I can’t write battle scenes.
I would love the thank Kisshu-luv for giving me my 100th review!! Thank you!!!!!!

We’ll see what happens! It’s kind of soap opera-ish…I’m watching Armageddon and the end of it is soap opera-ish and that leaked into the story! : )
Naraku awoke from his nap feeling worse than when he had lain down to sleep. He held his throbbing head and walked around trying not to go insane. Well, he is already insane…So he was trying not to become even more insane.
He tried to summon his Saimyosho, but to no avail. ‘What the hell?’ He then tried to make his youkai puppets of himself: Didn’t work. He tried his disappearing act; this as well did not work. He couldn’t try any of his battle techniques but had a horrible sinking feeling that they as well wouldn’t work. That was when he felt his barrier falling. (His barrier, which prevents his foes from finding and/or attacking him. At first, his barrier was only useful in hiding his presence. Then later on it became powerful enough to survive the Kaze no Kizu. After Naraku became a full youkai, the barrier became so powerful that nothing but the Kongosoha was able to pierce it. Well…now it was failing.)
‘Oh no…I’m losing all of my power! All of my hard work! It’s all failing me!’
Inuyasha and Sesshomaru both suddenly looked up. They both finally could smell Naraku. They could also smell….fear!? Coming off of him! Now this just wasn’t right!
They both exchanged glances and nodded. They knew the time for battle would be within the next hour.
‘Although,’ thought Inuyasha, ‘with him this weakened- I wonder what from!?- And in fear I don’t think much fighting will be needed.’ He smirked to himself causing a strange look from Kagome.
“Inuyasha? Why are you smirking?” She inquired.
“Uhh…Just thinking about what I’ll do to you once we get this battle over with!” He lied smirking more at that thought. She blushed and went to gather the children.
Kanna hurried back to find Kagura. She didn’t want Naraku to know that she had deceived him so easily.
The group and Naraku now stood in a large room preparing for ‘battle’. Kikyou was standing in front of a very weary Naraku. She had set up a barrier of her own. A very powerful one indeed.
Inuyasha used his Kongosoha to shatter her barrier. This angered her and she just prepared to do whatever she could to fight. She pulled out her longbow and arrows and readied herself.
Kanna and Kagura were off to the sides of Naraku preparing to help the other side. (How delightful, ne?)
Sango screamed and threw her Hiraikotsu. Kikyou nearly didn’t get Naraku to duck in time and mentally scolded herself to be more alert. Naraku on the other hand was just kind of there. He really had no idea what was going on. Therefore, the real opponent was indeed Kikyou.
Sesshomaru just stood off to the side with Rin and Shippou behind him waiting to see if he could be of service.
Kagome was still devising a plan when a voice came in her head and distracted her from the rest of the group.
She instantly recognized the voice as that of Midoriko. She told her exactly what she needed to do to win the ‘battle’. Kagome nodded to herself and prepared to do what she needed.
Kikyou started firing arrows to rain upon them. She smirked to herself watching everyone run and be distracted.
“Oops…I forgot…” Naraku stated uneasily, “I was about to pass-out so I absorbed Kagura.” Kikyou glared at him and looked back to fire more arrows when she noticed that the pale girl, Kanna, wasn’t on their side. She then finally noticed something odd about Kagome.
‘That girl…Her aura…Oh…my…kami…She’s powerful!’ Kikyou stared in wide-eyed shock at the girl, letting her weapon go slack.
Kagome looked at Kikyou with malice. “Kikyou! This fight is between you and me!” She screamed and took her place at the front of her group. Inuyasha looked at her skeptically, but she gave him a reassuring look and he stood down. Upon seeing this everyone else, as well, stood down.
Kagome walked up to face Kikyou.
Miko against Kuro Miko.
Kikyou attempted to raise her bow and fire an arrow at Kagome, but Kagome raised a hand to stop her.
“Kikyou, I don’t know why you were so willing to kill for Naraku, spare me the details, but I am going to destroy you!” She screamed, she had spent the last few minutes storing all of her energy up to be used; now she was prepared. She shot all of her energy towards Kikyou in order to stun her. Tears leaked out of her eyes at what she had to do next.
She had to sacrifice herself…
“Now…” She said turning to Inuyasha, “I love you…” She cried before turning back around.
A scream was heard, causing Kagome to lose concentrations and turn around.
Jisho, who as until now was standing off to the side in a daze, ran up and tackled Kagome.
“Kagome! I can’t allow you to kill yourself! Take me! I wouldn’t be able to live unless I got to defeat the enemies! It has to be me Kagome! Please!” She pleaded looking at the miko with tears streaming out of her eyes.
Kagome nodded, “Now say goodbye to my brother…Kikyou should be un-stunned in a few minutes, hurry!” She whispered whilst both of them stood up.
“Souta I love you!” Jisho cried, running up to embrace him. He smiled and told her that he loved her as well, and that he understood why she had to do this. She had to avenge herself, for all of the horrible deaths that she had caused by sacrificing herself for the purpose of defeating evil. Kind of surprising how he knew, though.
A pure white light engulfed Jisho as she said her last goodbyes. This white light then appeared between Kagome’s outstretched arms. She muttered a few words that the voice of the jewel had told her to say and watched grimly as the light shot itself towards Kikyou and engulfed her body as well. The light grew into a blinding brightness and forced everyone to cover his or her eyes. No one saw that once the light had dissipated that it found its way to the jewel, no one except for Kagome. She smiled at the thought and watched as Inuyasha used his Bakuryuha to kill Naraku off once and for all.
That sounded much better in my head than it did typed out…hehe well anyway, the next chapter shall be the last. Lol Review, PLEASE, for anyone who has read the story thus far, and not reviewed, thank you!
