Rein is you!
You looked up from the scroll you were reading, your eyes scanning the foliage around you, “INUYASHA SIT!” someone with a shrill voice screamed, them she heard a string of curses that brought a flush of colour to your cheeks. Packing your little bag you jump down and walk quietly towards the group, your large blue eyes taking in the group of travellers. One, a hanyou was sitting on the ground, rubbing his forehead as he glared at the young human woman in front of him who had her hand on her hips. Titling your head, your bangs falling against your cheek, your heart racing, the boy on the ground looked sort of like your uncles friend, touching the collar on your throat, the one with Lord Sesshoumaru insignia a crescent moon.
His head snapped around as the wind picked up, carrying your sent, a growl echoing from his throat as his golden eyes moved to you. “Hi!” the girl who'd been angry seconds ago said as she looked over at you. Frowning at her you nodded slightly, you didn't like humans much, the only ones you trusted were your uncle and aunt and cousins Theo and Leo, Libra and Katara. “I'm Kagome, do you know where the closest village is?” she asked and you narrowed your eyes at her.
“Why?” you ask your voice clear and full of suspicion.
“We need supplies and a place to rest,” the monk with them said walking over to you with a lecherous smile on his face.
“My name is Miroku and I was wondering,” he started taking your hand in his as he went down on one knee “Would you do me the honour of baring my child?”
His audacity astonishing; all you could do was stare at him, your eyes wide before you back handed him. “How dare you!” you shout.
Pulling your hand away you turn and as you shift run off into the forest, away from your village, then fallowing the river you rush home.
…
“Rein!” Akifumi yelled as you slipped in through the back, it was dark already, the way home longer than normal and you were dripping wet. Looking up at him still in dog form you tilt your head and trot to your room. Quickly drying off and dressing, you re-enter the sitting you “Yes Uncle?” you ask looking up at the old human man. At 24 you were small, fey like, and so different from the rest of your family. “Where have you been?” he shouted, “Lord Sesshoumaru would have my head if anything happened to you!” he yelled waving his arms.
“No he wouldn't, you do your best, daddy,” Libra said glaring at you.
She was from his second marriage; her mother Thea hated you, because you were more important to the Lord than her children. She also hated half-breeds so in her eyes you were wrong, disgusting and unworthy of her husbands' protection.
“Yes love, if anything happened to the little mutt, I'm sure, Lord Sesshoumaru would understand that it was her own fault, that she'd gotten into the situation on her own!” Thea said glaring at you.
Blinking at her you say “Very true,” walking over to your uncle, you go onto tip toe and whisper “Thank you for all you've done for me,” before going back to your room and packing all you could fit into your pack.
…
Dear Sesshoumaru-sama
My humble apologise sire, Rein has run of, my wife, Thea as you know hates her and I was unable to stop Rein from leaving. I know not where she's gone.
Yours faithfully
Akifumi
Looking down at the letter Akifumi had written you sighed, that girl, not impulse control and totally single minded. Would it kill her to stay safe? You wondered as you look up at Akifumi's messenger a young man, only five and ten, his eyes a little to big and bulging from his blockish face. “tell Akifumi I'll look into it,” and he grinned show you rabbit teeth and gasp. “Yes my lord!” he said saluting you before he turned and ran off. “Jaken!” you yell, and seconds later the little toad was there Rin at his side. “You yelled my lordship?” he asked looking up at you.
“We're leaving, you have half an hour to prepare,” you snap and he nodded.
“Sesshoumaru-sama where are we going?” Rin asked looking up at you with soulful eyes.
“To find Rein,” you tell her.
“Who's that Sesshouamru-sama?” she asked.
“A young girl in my charge,” you explain. Standing you wondered what she looked like now.
You hadn't seen her since she was about 12 and she'd been so small then you'd feared braking her.
