Inuyasha, and the characters therein, are the property of Rumiko Takahashi.
‘God….does she even know what that does to me? Nah, she probably doesn’t even know I can smell it.’ he thought as he closed his eyes and deeply inhaled the scent of her arousal. ‘Why would writing make her smell that way?’ he thought as he gritted his teeth together and tried to concentrate on the sounds of the night. ‘Oooooooh, I can’t take this any more…’
“Oi, wench!” Inuyasha said as he unceremoniously plopped down next to Kagome on her sleeping bag. Her head jerked up, and she quickly slammed the book shut. “I’m bored.” stated Inuyasha while giving her a look that plainly said…so entertain me. Kagome stifled a sigh, and said, “So…go find something to do, then.” He looked disappointed for a moment, then said “Feh! I can’t think of anything to do.” Kagome suppressed an amused grin, and pulled one of her school books out of her backpack to study. She almost laughed at the look of disappointment on Inuyasha’s face when he realized that she intended to ignore his demand for attention.
It almost took every little bit of her self-control to contain herself when his ears drooped, and he looked at her with those sad puppy eyes, with that totally endearing pout upon his face. She almost groaned with difficulty, trying not to respond to his antics. Kagome rolled her eyes and sighed as she looked up from her book. “Ok, dog-boy. Watcha wanna do?” she said in a defeated tone. At her obvious submission, Inuyasha’s face lit with happiness, and one would swear that if he had a tail, he would definitely be wagging it right now.
“Keh… ya’ wanna go for a run?” asked Inuyasha. Kagome’s eyes brightened at the prospect, and she giggled and stood up beside him. He turned for her to hop on his back, and took off the moment she draped her arms over his shoulders. He gracefully leaped from tree to tree over the sleeping forest, and Kagome felt exhilarated as the wind whipped her hair and the stars flew by at an alarming speed. She smiled happily as she held on to Inuyasha tighter (though, not for safety reasons, as she would have him believe), closed her eyes, and laid her head against his shoulder with a soft sigh.
She didn’t see Inuyasha smile in response to her backwards hug. But, could somehow sense his contentment in her actions. When they got back to camp, he gently set her down near her sleeping bag and, with out a word, jumped back up into his tree. Kagome was surprised at his abrupt departure, but sighed and sat down on her sleeping bag, and once again pulled out the book that had started it all.
Chapter 1 - Stirring
Inuyasha heaved a heavy sigh as he leaned his head back against the trunk of the tree he was sitting in and looked up at the stars. He closed his eyes and swallowed hard, trying to dispel the feelings that were welling up inside of him. ‘That smell……that GOD DAMN smell……every time she writes in that fucking book…’ He sighed again and suppressed a whine as he looked down at Kagome. She was sitting by the fire on her sleeping bag writing in the book with a cute little smile on her face.‘God….does she even know what that does to me?
