“Good idea.” Kagome muttered, as she tried to slow her breathing, and calm her rapidly beating heart. As they walked down the path towards the old miko’s hut, she became lost in thought. ‘What the heck just happened back there?’ she gasped to herself, still trying to sort out the confusion in her brain. ‘I felt like I had no control over my body…’ The thought scared her a little bit, but also excited her in a strange way. ‘If my mom hadn’t come home…if we hadn’t been interrupted…would I have…….?’ She shook her head a couple of times, trying to dispel the images of what she and Inuyasha may have ended up doing that had suddenly popped into her head.

Miroku and Sango both looked up from their respective tasks as the other members of their group entered the hut. Miroku looked back and forth between Inuyasha and Kagome a couple of times, taking in the fact that they were both still blushing slightly and looking off in opposite directions. He then remembered their sickening behavior towards each other lately, and the embarrassed way the couple had avoided looking at each other afterwards when he and Sango had finally said something to them about it. A large perverted grin slowly crawled across his face. “So, Inuyasha…Kagome, did you guys have a good time in the future?” he asked in the most casual voice that he could muster. Sango’s head snapped in his direction and she pinned him with a baleful glare.
“The tests weren’t too hard, I hope?” Miroku asked the Kagome sweetly, as he watched her eyes grow wider and her face redden a little more. “I hope you didn’t distract her too much, Inuyasha.” the monk said in a sly voice as he turned his attention to the now reddening hanyou at Kagome’s side. Inuyasha snorted “Keh.” then turned abruptly and stocked out of the hut. Miroku snickered a little bit, then went back over to sit by Sango, who was now looking at Kagome curiously. “I..I have to go…and…um..do something.” Kagome stammered as she left the hut to go find Inuyasha.
“What is wrong with those two?!” Sango exclaimed, raising her hands in exasperation. Miroku looked over at the slayer with a little smirk still on his face. “My dear, beautiful Sango,” he crooned close to her ear, as he reached over and cupped one of her butt cheeks. “Do you honestly expect me to believe that you are that naïve?” he said, as he began to rub, and squeeze the fullness in his hand. Sango swung around and slapped Miroku hard across the face. “Hentai!” she hissed through gritted teeth, as she glared at Miroku. Miroku looked straight into her eyes, completely mesmerized by the fire that was blazing in their depths.
Sango found something about Miroku’s gaze to be completely unsettling, and she squirmed a little to try to squelch the throbbing that was starting to pulse between her legs. With some effort, she managed to tear her eyes away from Miroku‘s captivating stare. “Stupid perverted monk.” she mumbled as she quickly got up, and went outside.
Sango found Inuyasha and Kagome sitting next to each other in silence outside of Kaede’s hut. “Get ready. I want to leave as soon as possible.” said Inuyasha. Sango glared at him, and stalked away. Kagome sighed, and heaved her self off the ground. “I’ll go talk to her, you go talk to Miroku. Ok?” “Feh.” Inuyasha said and rolled his eyes as she walked away.

Inuyasha entered the hut, and shook his head as he looked at the slightly dazed, but completely happy monk. “You know that just isn’t right, don’t you?” he said in a disgusted tone. Miroku looked up at him from the floor and grinned. “Why, Inuyasha! You have completely misunderstood the situation! I am a virtuous man of the cloth, I couldn’t possibly…” “Ya, ya…whatever…keep tellin’ yourself that, you ass grabbin’ freak. Your scent doesn’t lie though.” he said with a smirk. Miroku chuckled and closed his eyes, while he rubbed the hand print on his face.
Inuyasha offered the monk his hand to help him up, and they left the hut. They found the girls a few minutes later, who were both blushing madly and refusing to look at them. “Uh…lets get going then.” Inuyasha said, still looking at the girls warily as they started heading in the direction of Totosai’s cave in silence.

Back on the other side of the well, Inuyasha grabbed Kagome around the waist as he looked deeply into her eyes. He held her tightly against his chest as he leapt them out of the well. When they landed on the soft, cool grass surrounding the outside of the well, he held onto her for a moment longer than was necessary, then let go and looked away, blushing slightly. “Uh…well, I guess we should go and let the others know that we’re ready to go to Totosai’s” he managed to say, still staring off into the woods with his hands jammed up the sleeves of his haiori.“Good idea.” Kagome muttered, as she tried to slow her breathing, and calm her rapidly beating heart.
